This trendy beach cottage is decorated in a modern style that is sure to delight. Curl up in front of the gas fireplace and enjoy the view of the ocean and greater Newport - or head out to the deck and take in the fresh ocean air. This home is a vibrant community, centrally located to all the happenings. Enjoy restaurants and shops nearby, and check out the bookstore across the street. There's plenty of room to relax upstairs as well, thanks to the bonus upstairs lounge. Each bedroom features a view of the ocean, neighborhood, or both! But the kitchen is the true heart of this home and features a French door fridge, an extra-long breakfast bar, and appliances big and small to help you put together fabulous meals. Pack lightly, your vacation home includes a washer/dryer. A gas grill is provided for those who just can't get enough of that great ocean view, plus an electric vehicle charger adds convenience during your stay. THINGS TO KNOW Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Loved this beach house for our winter family getaway! It has stunning ocean views from the cozy second-floor lounge and from each bedroom. The open kitchen was great for making meals and visiting with each other. Although the kitchen was well-stocked, we could have used a few more baking tools for what we made. Perfectly located just off the beach, the house is near the charming Nye Beach shops and restaurants. Highly recommended and we are already planning our return!

The house is as beautiful as the pictures. Large bedrooms and bathrooms with large and comfortable beds, nice fixtures and plenty of towels. The bedspreads weren't very heavy, but each room has its own heater, so not a problem. Each room has its own TV, so you can relax in bed watching TV. But the view of the beach and ocean, particularly from the upstairs sitting area and bedroom, is glorious. There's a coffee maker, toaster oven, and pots, pans, dishes, which made breakfast at the cottage convenient. I hope to stay here again in the future.

Second time here in two years and we will likely be back again! You can’t beat the location—the close proximity to the beach and nearby restaurants, coffee shop, bakery, and other fun shops.

The house was stocked with everything one could think of, including folding beach chairs and shovel/buckets for the kids. The views from downstairs and upstairs were stunning. And everything was VERY clean. A wonderful experience for my nephew and family who were here from Berlin (Germany, that is).

The cottage was clean and very modern. The location was in Nye Beach and easy access to businesses and the beach. The weather was cool when we were there but the upstairs was a bit stuffy. The house was situated near a bar they often had loud discussions and music to all hours of the night. We were not there for a Friday or Saturday night so no telling how loud it will be.

Great location in the heart of Nye Beach. Ocean views were delightful. Parking was a bit tight. House was well stocked with kitchen supplies. Had a cute back deck to sit on as well. Beautiful windows with great views .

If you love views of the ocean, amazing local businesses and a quiet stay? Sea Mist Cottage is for you. I stayed with my Father and Brother and everyone enjoyed the home, amenities, little touches of comfort and amazing views. If you like supporting local small local businesses there’s no better place than Nye Beach. We bought souvenirs at gift shops, are great meals all within walking distance. My Father requires assistance and was able to stay in the lower floor bedroom. Everything was perfect!

The location was super for beach access and provides a nice view. A quick walk and you have miles of Nye beach. Wonderful!
The location also is near a couple of bars. One in particular can be loud. The other reviewers' comments are correct: it may disturb your sleep a bit. And not just on weekends.
The kitchen is very nice but we did need to provide some items ourselves. If you plan to cook a lot, just keep this in mind.
Overall, it was a great place to stay and we are glad we did.

Wifi and TVs did not work. Supposed local contact # did not work. 4 or 5 calls to Vacasa and multiple texts later, we got assurances someone would come to assist... but problem never got fixed. Subsequent complaints were met with gas-lighting and denial. I get the internet isnt a utility like running water, and it was actually pretty nice to be offline. But its not what we signed up for and poor customer service, esp. when it involves dishonesty, feels really bad. Extra star for nice cooking equipment.

This home is a great get away. The kitchen is well stocked and was a pleasure to cook in. Picture windows on the main level helped brighten the first floor even on a cloudy coast weekend. But the sitting area on the second floor is the true gem of the home. The large windows have a view of the beach and ocean on one side and Nye beach pedestrian traffic on the other. Such a great place to storm watch, bask in the sun, and read the day away. Once parked, we chose to walk more than drive. Like other reviews, we did hear noise from the SandBar on Saturday night, but the rest of the nights were quiet. All in all, it is a perfect coastal get away for our family. I would definitely stay there again.

The house has not be maintained for a vacation home. limited supplies and not kept well. loud on weekends with younger crowds screaming loud. There was a lot of loud noise in the evenings.

Nice home in Newport, Vacasa management could be improved
Nice home and great location. Many nice features in the home and area that could be made more apparent in the Vacasa info, like local restaurants and things to do right in the neighborhood.
In general, a good rental and we figured things out in the home, but Vacasa could improve the customer experience with better info and communication.
For example, there was no info at the home (like a book with instructions on how to operate things) and sparse info on the app. And there was no easy way to contact Vacasa except an 800 number where they said to text, but the text answer back took more than an hour.
Also on the house listing on the Vacasa website, more detail is needed. For example, there is no closet in the downstairs bedroom or one of the upstairs bedrooms (dresser and wardrobe are provided but would’ve liked to have known this ahead of time). And it can be a noisy area (bar across street) so guests need to have ear plugs or a sound machine.
Also it needs to be clear about the parking spaces. They are good for two compact cars but not two SUVs. And the website says Comcast TV, but what we wanted to know ahead of time was not the internet service provider but the TV system (which was Roku). These are just a few examples. Thanks.

This house is steps from the public stairway to beach access. It is right in Nye Beach so an easy walk to shopping, dining, beach and everything else Nye Beach has to offer. The house is great. Three bedrooms, two bath, beautiful kitchen, terrific views and nice desks. I plan on renting this house again.

Roomy, Modern and Well Located
This house is steps from the public stairway to beach access. It is right in Nye Beach so an easy walk to shopping, dining, beach and everything else Nye Beach has to offer. The house is great. Three bedrooms, two bath, beautiful kitchen, terrific views and nice desks. I plan on renting this house again.

There was nothing we didn't like!
This place was beautiful! The kitchen was fabulous. Nice appliances, pots and pans, utensils, etc were good quality unlike some ice stayed in. It was extremely clean, too. We will definitely stay again!
