Lake life awaits you at this cozy lake side cottage. Whether you are paddle boarding on the calm waters of the cove, or sitting by the fire pit with your toes in the sand and a cocktail in your hand, it's hard not to feel relaxed at Driftwood Lake House. This is our newest home, but we also have a 5-star rated property across the cove called Red Sky Lake House. Please read the reviews for more information on how we run our vacation rentals for our beloved guests. This cottage has 3 bedrooms, with an extra large master suite and a fireplace to cozy up to on those cool nights. The master bath has a large jacuzzi tub with a fun musical shower that comes complete with speakers and CD player to play some old tunes. On the first floor there is a bedroom with a queen bed, living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. On the second floor is a game room with ping pong table and pull-out sofa for extra sleeping, master bedroom/bathroom and another guest room with twin beds. All bedding is included as well as bath and beach towels. The cottage has a balcony off the master suite as well as a large porch/balcony off the downstairs living room. We have put in a new seawall walk-way as well as a sandy beach to enjoy time in a hammock or around a campfire, lake side. This cottage comes complete with coffee maker, a Keurig, board games for the family and ping pong table, fire pit and charcoal bar-b-q grill. We have a 23ft. pontoon boat for rent as well as a new splash mat, two large kayaks and two paddle boards. Please inquire about pricing and availability. There are some fun lakeside restaurants near by with bands on the weekends for entertainment and even an old fashioned drive-in movie theater. Badin lake is a clean and refreshing, fresh water lake with a vast area of the Uwharrie National Forest surrounding the lake for hiking, biking or Jeeping. The scenery is beautiful with lots of lake to explore by boat, paddle board, kayak or jet ski. Our dock is available for those guests who wish to bring their own boats and the neighborhood boat ramp is very close to the cottage. We also have a long driveway that will fit a truck and boat trailer. We are located one hour from Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Greensboro and 1.5 hours from Raleigh-Durham. Closest airports are Charlotte Douglas International and Concord or Greensboro airport with Allegiant Air. We also welcome all Pfeiffer families, as we are only 20 minutes from campus. We stayed at this house for a weekend girls reunion trip and had a great time. The owner was super kind and helpful and offered suggestions for things to do nearby. We visited on a chilly weekend and enjoyed their firepit outside by the lake and their big fireplace inside. The house is very cutely decorated and clean and has a good amount of beds and space for a group.

Terra went above and beyond to make us feel happy, safe, and comfortable. We love the combination of boat and house rental! The decor is also lovely. We feel indebted to the host and fully recommend staying here!

We cannot say enough about this property and the host. The house was beautifully decorated, the beds were comfortable, everything we needed was there plus more, the host left personal welcoming notes and goodies! We would recommend this house to anyone!

The house had everything we needed for an active, fun getaway. Being able to bring our own boat was important to us and having the boat slip was so nice! We enjoyed the fire pit on the "beach" nightly. And sitting at the end of the dock watching the INCREDIBLE sunrise each morning was my favorite thing to do. There are no negatives to this house at all! (Just know that the queen bed shown in the bedroom with the king is actually a pull-out sofa in the game room.) With the house located in a quiet "no wake zone" cove, swimming and floating around was calm and easy! It was a great stay! (although I don't really want to tell everyone, I'd rather keep this house to myself :)

We had an amazing vacation at Driftwood Lake House. Terra was a wonderful and gracious host. The house was clean and beautiful; the property so nice and renting the boat for a few days just added to our week. Definitely will be staying again:)

Our family loved spending time in this beautiful home on Baden Lake. The home was cozy and nicely decorated and we enjoyed paddle boarding, swimming and taking the pontoon boat. It is a beautiful place to rest and play!

My husband and I along with 3 teenage boys and 2 family dogs had the most marvelous getaway for our summer vacation. This home is gorgeous, it's super clean and is warm, spacious and welcoming. Some of our favorites were the beautiful staircase and lake decor throughout the home, the ping pong table, the 2 decks overlooking the pretty lake (so awesome to get out of bed and take in a beautiful, serene view first thing in the morning) , the kayaking and splash mat, renting jet skis, learning to wake board at the elevated wake park, sipping coffee in the early morning and watching/ listening to the sounds of nature (directly across our cove was a lovely little island to listen and watch the birds (next time I will bring my binoculars!). The master is huge and the bed was very comfortable and the master bath spacious and clean with an amazing view! We had the best weather to make the most of lake life! It was so hard to leave.
Terra is a fabulous host! She checked in with us early on to make sure we had all we needed. She was super sweet and responsive, incredibly helpful and thoughtful. You will truly feel at home and welcomed here whether it's a weekend getaway or a week at the lake, I personally recommend a month! : )

Loved having our own boat dock and the kids loved the little sandy beach area they have made! There were games and toys available for the kids which was helpful to keep them occupied. This is a quaint, but spacious lake house is adorable and the views are spectacular.
If you are into outdoor activities like hiking, boating, or in our case, off road Jeeping, this is the place!
It is in a great location surrounded by National Park and in between two small towns.
While my wife and I were only there for a long weekend (attending the Jeep Adventure Academy in Uwharrie National Park), we were able to take the dogs on a great hike around half of Lake Badin.
We wish we would have planned a longer stay.

Had a very fun and relaxing fall weekend at Badin Lake. Early morning fire pit and coffee Saturday morning. Fishing. Evening fire pit and s'mores. A perfect way to spend time with family.

Terra was easy to communicate with and was super accommodating and responsive. The house was beautifully decorated, and we had everything we needed for our stay. Beds were comfy, and of course access to the lake was just great!

Wonderful place on the lake
The Driftwood Lake House is a wonderful house situated right on a cove on Badin Lake.
The attention to detail on the décor and little touches of the house are amazing. From the Welcome sign for my family to the rinse station for your feet to the beach area by the lake, it really is top notch. I’ve rented many VRBO homes over the years and this one is one of our favorites. Another plus, a TON of towels and places to hang them. This may seem silly but so many places we rent allow one towel per person and not even a hook to hang wet towels.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to do lots of lakeside cooking and grilling. There was a pantry which was super to store the food we brought and extra goodies.
The house was beautifully decorated and the decks both top and bottom were wonderful for morning coffee, cocktails and dinner each night. The hammock by the water was a perfect nap spot for me each afternoon too.
We took the kayaks out every day, which was lovely. We went across the cove and around the little island that you can see from across the house…that was one of our favorite parts of the weekend.
While the attention to detail was great for the décor, some of the maintenance of the house had its challenges. That said, Terra was responsive to all with a solution. The only add I would say is a beach umbrella on the beach area, that would be really great and has been mentioned to Terra 😊.
Mother Nature provided us with quite a storm on our first night. Good news, it blew away the almost 100-degree heat that we experience but it also left us with a power outage and no propane for almost three hours. One of the neighbors was kind enough to sell us one of his propane tanks and Terra kindly reimbursed us.
The cove the house sits on should be quiet cove as it’s a No Wake zone sadly, the jet skis zoomed by all day making what should be a quiet cove, a bit noisy at times. This is merely an observation and no fault of Terra.
