Come and enjoy this simple, dog friendly, 114 year old historic home in beautiful downtown Ludington. A Place for Paws is located 3 short blocks from downtown and 4 blocks from Stearns Park. While this home has been around for many years, it has been well cared for and you will find it quaint and charming. It is cozy, clean, and contains many amenities for you to enjoy. A Place for Paws offers a main floor bedroom and full bathroom with a shower and 2 additional bedrooms and a half bathroom upstairs. The open plan dining and living room area makes socializing a breeze. Prefer to enjoy the outdoors? You will find a large concrete patio with grill and firepit in the backyard-perfect for dining outside or enjoying the gorgeous summer evenings Northern Michigan is so well known for. The backyard is also fully fenced in making it the perfect area for you and your beloved dog to enjoy. Or relax on the covered front porch and soak in the slow pace of Ludington. We would love to welcome you to this modest home, so you may too enjoy the magic that is Ludington. No parties or large events No Smoking Additional Pet Fee(s) of $100/pet will apply for guests bringing their four legged friend(s). Max of 2 pets. We truly loved this home, and everything about it. It was super clean and comfortable, and had everything we could possibly need. To be able to stay somewhere like this with our two fur babies means so much to us. The location is great, in a peaceful neighborhood and close to everything. We can't wait to return to A Place For Paws the next time we are in Ludington! Thank you for such a nice place to stay!

Everything was exactly as described and we encountered absolutely no problems or issues whatsoever. The house was clean, well stocked with all necessities and very comfortable. We would certainly choose this location again, when in the area.

We stayed at the property to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The kids enjoyed their first vacation with Millie, our Golden Doodle, who felt at home staying here. The home was well appointed for humans and pets where we felt comfortable both inside and outside. The property was walking distance to town and the beach.

The house is very old. Lots of wood floor creaking. Definitely needs updating especially in bathroom. You can only shower as the water will not flow out of faucet to fill tub. Stairs are wood and are very slippery if you’re wearing just socks. Back yard needed mowing- we visited in July so mosquito’s were bad. It’s about 4 blocks to beach. 2 blocks to town. Location was good. I didn’t get my check in / code access and had to call to get that prior to arrival. Overall I would give it 3.5 stars. Not prefect but was average.

The house was spotlessly clean. The communication with the owner was easy and any questions were answered immediately. It is very pet friendly. The backyard is completely fenced. The beds were very comfortable. Everything worked. The location to downtown is excellent. The neighborhood is clean and quiet. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

A Place for Paws was the perfect spot for our family of 6 plus 2 Doodles! Such a beat and quiet neighborhood that was still close to the Lake and delicious restaurants like House of Flavors. Our family had a wonderful time and can’t wait to stay here again!!

We loved our stay...BUT, for full disclosure, the pet fee is $100.00 per pet. It does not state that anywhere in the property description. With that being said, it was a wonderful property. We were very comfortable and it seems that the host has thought of everything.

We had an amazing time at the Pet Palace as did our dog Winnie. The amenities were great, the location a perfect spot to get to town and to the beach. Would definitely stay here again!

The location was amazing, just 4 blocks from the beach, with easy access to all Ludington, has to offer! Upstairs didn't have central air which made it very warm at night, but the windows were open and it was cool at night which helped. Also only having one bathroom was a challenge with multiple families. Truly pet friendly with a great backyard.
