Enjoy your next mountain getaway at this lovely home on Beech Mountain. Enjoy long-range layered mountain views and cool mountain air year-round from the many windows and the deck. Located 10 minutes from Beech Mountain Ski Resort and 15 minutes from the Beech Mountain Club, there are fun activities to keep you busy in any season. Banner Elk is a 20-minute drive down the mountain. Boone and Blowing Rock are about 45 minutes away. The main level is an open concept living area. The living room includes a stacked stone wood-burning fireplace and large windows for natural light and views. A place for gathering, the kitchen, dining room, and deck beyond provide space to enjoy your time together in the mountains. There is a gas grill, a gas fire table, and a place to dine on the deck. A wooden stepped walkway leads down to a lovely park-style bench by a rock outcropping overlooking the woods. The main floor king suite has a private ensuite bathroom, in-room deck access, and a pass-through view of the living room fireplace. There is a second living room on the lower level with a foosball game table, dartboard, board games, TV, and comfy furniture. The king suite on the lower level has pleasant views and a private ensuite bathroom. A queen bedroom and bunk room are also on the lower level and share a hallway bathroom. Enjoy the cool mountain air at this high elevation. There is no air conditioning at Cooper's Ridge, and the home is heated with baseboard heating throughout. Guests will enjoy TV programming, Roku, and Hulu on the Smart TVs. There is Wi-Fi and a washer and dryer for guest use. The gravel road leads to level parking in front of the main level entrance, with additional parking on the lower level parking pad with lower level entry. We cooked a great Thanksgiving dinner for 11 people and it was great. We had everything we needed. All the rooms were tastefully decorated and we were very pleased. The one problem we had was our dogs. There was no place to let them out to play or use the bathroom without leashing and walking. The house is right on the road and surrounded by steep terrain.

This property was perfect for our family stay on Beech Mountain. This well designed house itself was pretty, clean, very comfortable, and in great condition. The rear view from the house and open air deck looks north-northeast over the mountains and was very tranquil. No covering over the deck though. The last couple of miles to the house are a bit rough on a car and a weary driver, with thick gravel roads, steep grades, and tough switchbacks, so I would recommend arriving during daylight. The nearest trailheads (Lower and Upper Pond Creek) are 1.5 miles away by car and parking is scarce. There is no safe way to walk from the house to the trailheads. The gravel road the house is on is well traveled by construction vehicles. Lots of new development in this area. While the kitchen is decently outfitted with necessities, if you plan to cook or grill, consider bringing your must-have utensils with you. Overall, we were very happy with this property and it greatly added to a wonderful experience at Beech Mountain.

The cabin was great for a weekend getaway. The road isn’t plowed unless there is 3” downfall, so it was a little scary. The road has a lot of twists and turns. The cabin was cozy and well equipped for two big families. The deck overlooks an incredible view. Two king size beds was ideal, plenty of bathrooms and a playroom to add! I would have loved written down instructions and Wi-Fi password instead of having to look through several emails to get all the log ins and directions, but overall a great stay!
