The grounds are lovely, the rooms are extremely roomy and comfortable. The location is good, but you will need a car. There is really nothing within walking distance, but it is a close drive to downtown. We ate one meal at the restaurant during our stay and the food was very good, the ambiance of outdoor patio area is wonderful.

They need more chairs in the room.

Cute historic hotel, spacious rooms, lovely fireplace. Loud party close to room made it less relaxing. Need a car at this location not walk friendly.

This hotel was a refreshing change.
The staff and rooms are great. Everything was clean and in good order. Staff were friendly.
The cactus gardens were interesting to look at.
Only improvement? The pillows were not the best (for me). Recommended.

Great location and very quaint hotel. Spacious and clean rooms and great hotel restaurant. Highly recommend

The Lodge is a beautiful intimate hotel. The grounds are gorgeous. We stayed in a single story location and the bathroom sink was not practical. To tall. Last time we stayed in the 2nd floor room and it was perfect. The onsite restaurant had sub par service and food this time.
3.0
Cute hotel, could use some extra focus on cleaning the bathrooms. Check in was seamless, but very little information was provided (i.e. morning coffee service, where to get towels for the pool, etc.). Breakfast at the restaurant was horrible, and the service was also very poor. For the price, the hotel was fine.

Had a wonderful experience,
Check in was effortless, entire staff was friendly and helpful grounds were beautifully done , Pool & hot tub perfect location couldn't have been better.

Room was spacious and comfortable, but sort of sparsely furnished. The "patio" was tiny and had 1 chair, no table (reception said 2nd chair couldn't be provided). Met the legal definition of patio, we suppose, but not really useful as such. Otherwise comfortable with fireplace, king bed and soaking tub.

Our room smelled horrible . The bed was very uncomfortable and the bathroom was dark in the shower. There is no light in the shower making it very difficult to see where the shampoo, soap, and conditioner were. To make matters worse we didn’t get the usual breakfast because it’s no longer complimentary!! For the money I paid for the room, this place or not worth it!

I love the Lodge and its Restaurant. They had excellent live music on Saturday night The staff, as always are great and happy to the extra mile.
Love the new tea coffee pot; they’ve done away with the deposited k cups.
The only recommendation would be a refresh of the pillows and bed toppers.

A delightful oasis in the desert, nice pool, atmospheric, and a great restaurant. Rooms include a very nice breakfast buffet. A unique alternative to chain hotels.

The grounds and restaurant are nice. We eventually ended up in a decent room, hence my mid-review. We were first put in a room that was filthy under the bed and had a terrible sewer smell in the bathroom. The most disappointing part, though, is that they knew about the plumbing issues in that room before placing us there.

Good coffee.
No water supplied.
Gym sucks.

Wonderful experience. We come here every time we travel to Tucson. Fireplace in the rooms adds charm.

100.00 fee for incidentals was not informed to us when we checked in. would have been benificial to know insted of assuming that we knew about it.

Throuigh no fault of hotel, internet was down when we arrived, which messed up checkin. Couldn't get keys for several hours.Staff was very polite and helpful. Our major concern was that the otherwise nice mattress was too soft for our taste, left us stiff and sore first couple of days. For cost, complimentary breakfast would have been nice. We paid for it one day, for average breakfast at best.

What a surprise! Beautiful Spanish lodge with authentic decor and garden/patio settings. So relaxing. Can't wait to go back. Should have booked a couple nights!

Incredibly spacious! Great charm. Especially loved the gas fireplace and view out the shuttered window. Hope to return soon.

Nice looking place, free parking and grounds well maintained. The room look tired. We found several items in need of repair from a leaky faucet, safe that would not open for use, and pulls to open curtains in disrepair. Check-in and check-out were efficient. For the price of the room, not likely to consider it again or recommend it.

This property is centrally located in Tucson, yet you feel as uf you are away from the hustle & bustle.
Do be aware the picture of the room you book may not be the actual room you get.
I booked a casita King but it had no fite place nor did it look lime the photo. Front desk was great at changing my room.
Love the decor !
The pool is heated to 85 degrees , beautiful pool fountains. Jacuzzi was great & plenty of pool towels .
Very cute place.
I have no complaints , but I don't think I'd stay here again.

Nice place. I wish the weather had been better when we were there to enjoy the outside areas. The room was musty when we arrived, and we needed to run the air to get that smell away. The room had no shampoo, which I was ok with for one night.

Kaitlin at the front desk was super friendly and accommodating! The rooms are clean, the grounds are well kept. We loved our stay!

Quaint, quiet, clean, great location to downtown.
Their sous chef became chef and he deserves stars. The limited menu has some very delectable choices at fair prices! His dishes deserve being served on white table cloths! It would be even nicer if service personnel would be properly uniformed and tattoos covered up.
I want to mention one young lady, Steffany, who is pleasant, polite and serves with a smile! She is a pleasure!

TERRIBLE. DO NOT TRUST RATINGS, THEY ARE FAKE. NO WAY THIS IS A 9.2, ITS MORE LIKE A 6.0.
The only thing to like is the Grounds, they are pleasant.
BUT, Rooms are old and falling apart, lights don’t work, curtains are falling off the walls, bathrooms are terribly dated, half the rooms are on the second floor so be prepared for stairs with luggage. Restaurant Patio is cute but Restaurant is really poor in variety and quality. Only basic white slice bread for toasts for example. Staff is not good in Reception or restaurant. I can go on and on. Too bad because the property has potential and is cute but the service is really poor. Last thing, don’t leave stuff in your car, it’s not a great or safe area. And they had the nerve to charge us over $500 for the first night, even though we left and terminated our booking early due to the poor experience. Complete rip off. Not worth it. There is no way they even close to half the quality and service of the beautiful resorts at the north Tucson Catalina foot hills and yet “Dodge on the Desert” have higher ratings!!! NO WAY! FAKE RATINGS.

We have stayed here before and appreciate having a good restaurant on the property. Wish they could put in a day spa.

This was my 6th time to stay here during the Gem and Mineral show-- I travel a lot and this was one of my favorite place to stay--comfortable, peaceful, loved the rooms, very convenient and the best breakfast ever! I understand the new owners cut out the free breakfast--bad mistake--in the past had to stand in line to eat in the morning, but this year only 4-5 tables. Raise the price by 10-15 dollars and give the FREE breakfast!

Have been coming to this place for over 12 years, twice a year.
Used to come here for the free breakfast, which is now paid, while the hotel charges double the price for the rooms.
I hope they change their mind.
