Nice place to stay! Great location in downtown Raleigh. Bea at the front desk was wonderful...friendly and so helpful. Wish all hotels had someone like Bea!

Needs improvement: weekend noise! bad lighting in room

Clean. Staff could care less.

The stay was absolutely amazing! We were a bit nervous about the noise but it was not too bad at all! The hotel was very clean, and updated!

Staff helpful and friendly. Hotel very clean. Beds super comfy. It is in the entertainment district, so it’s noisy outside on the weekends. Was fine with us though!

Service was excellent and room was spacious and well equipped. The breakfast was great! It is in the heart of things so can get a bit noisy on weekends. They do provide white noise machines upon request and also earplugs. I suggest booking a room on the quiet side of the building if you are a light sleeper

Extremely noisy. Walls are paper thin. Kind and helpful staff, but that's not enough.

Great hotel in the middle of the excellent, but loud, Entertainment District - Be warned.
The Hotel actually provides earplugs and white-noise machines to every room, along with a sheet that basically warns you won't get any sleep there.
I overheard the people in front of me requesting "the quiet side of the hotel," so I did also.
Still loud. It's a party block.

Perfect location for the Gleenwood Night life.

The hotel is located amongst many late night bars for young single people and people celebrating graduations, sorority/frat events, bachelor/bachelorette nights etc. The hotel offers white-noise machines and earplugs to some guests and asks do you want a room on the "quiet" side or the other side?

The hotel was the perfect location for us - close to the person we were visiting. However, it's a mixed blessing. It is close to all of the fun nightlife Raleigh offers, but you can hear it all in your room. They provide earplugs they really weren't enough to block out the music and festivities. We will stay here again but with better noise protection!

I stayed at this Hampton numerous times for work over a few month span. All of the employees were very polite and the hotel was always very clean. Can get a little noisy with the local bars but they are upfront about it and you are in Downtown!

Perfect stay! Josh at the front desk was very helpful! 10/10

They attempted to charge me more for the pet fee than was communicated in the listing for the property. They ultimately dropped it from $75 to $50, but they told me that I should look at the hotel web site for the property in the future and not trust what I see on Expedia.

Excellent hotel, awesome service!

The property is in good condition, but it is extremely noisy due to the downtown activity. Also, the parking is across the street in a share parking deck. It was very confusing getting in the deck upon arrival. There's got to be away to make guest aware of the parking situation before arrival.

Close and convenient to bars and food! We were able to walk just around the corner to a neat place to meet up with friends from Raleigh. Very convenient. Loud though. The music was pumping right behind our room until 2 a.m. Ear plugs were given to us upon arrival. This was on a Monday night.
Overall, we enjoyed ourselves though! Very clean, nice breakfast and fun atmosphere. We would definitely come back next time we are in Raleigh.

Staff was very friendly and quick check in. Clean and nice rooms.

The room was clean, beds were comfortable, and continental breakfast was well supplied with food. We were warned that it could get noisy from the restaurants around the hotel. It was noisy at night in the middle of the week from people talking, motorcycles revving, and cars cruising with loud music until 2 am. Ear plugs did not help. I believe that it would be worse on the weekends with more restaurants and people dining.

I had no tv remote and I had old food left in the mini fridge which smelled horrible.
Should get some money back from this property

The staff and cleanliness of the road were great.
The lighting in the room was poor. Our television did not work for two days. That was unacceptable.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn while visiting the NCSU campus. The campus is a bit far to walk (probably 30 minutes) on a daily basis, and so plan on taking a taxi or ride share. The hotel was in the midst of renovating when I visited, so there was some disorganization. That said, my stay was fine. The room was spacious, internet worked fine, everything was clean in the room, breakfast was adequate - not 5 star, but adequate. This is another hotel that did not go back to daily housekeeping after Covid. So you have to request housekeeping on a daily basis. There are many places to eat within walking distances, including an almost infinite number of bars and breweries - this is a favored neighborhood for NCSU students. Several other reviews complained about noise from (probably) students visiting these bars. I stayed at the Hampton Inn during Spring Break, and so did not have this problem. However, automobile street noise was fairly loud. My room was along the main street. The hotel provides earplugs in the room when you arrive - which can't be a good sign during non-Spring Break days.

Our stay was excellent. The room was nice, the beds were comfortable. The staff was helpful and very nice. There was food left in the fridge from the previous guests but other than that, it was great.

It was a very nice stay. Other than the constitution in the outside look and building would have been perfect. The fact we had to use nose ears in case of loudness is little discomfort. Other than that staff was great.
Happy holidays.

Wow! What a great stay! Their hospitality is like no other! Josh at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful and we were just delighted to find out that they had wine tasting and happy hour snacks at special times throughout the week! The rooms were so clean, everyone was so friendly, overall... what an incredible stay. They even named me as "customer of the week" and to my surprise, I got a room upgrade!

Take the noise complaints seriously. I thought - oh maybe with the tv on and possibly earplugs - I should be able to block out the music from the bar next door. You can’t. You can feel it. This went on until 3am. Just take the hit - pay a little more - and stay somewhere you can actually sleep.

Pros: clean, modern, and easy access to downtown.
Cons: Pool was not heated. Gets stupid loud at night from all the clubs next door.

There is a BIG PROBLEM when the hotel needs to offer complimentary earplugs, a sound machine and sleepy time tea. We were NOT warned about the noise level/location prior to booking our stay. The hotel is SURROUNDED BY CLUBS that stay open until 3 AM… I gave 2 stars because the front desk person was so nice and I was glad that they have a security guard outside the hotel.

Did not like walking to parking deck. Not well-lit or connected to the property. I will not stay there again for safety reasons.
