We booked a king room with a mountain view but upon arrival the hotel overbooked so the "upgraded" to a suite. It was on lower floor with a view of start and alley. They hadn't turned on the heat so I had to weary coat for three hours waiting for room to warm up. It has cement walls and ceramic tile floors so it took a long time. The room looks like it was furnished at Salvation Army. The front desk staff was wonderful. It was definitely not what is advertised on Hotels.com.

This place is not clean at all! Never will i ever waste my money here again. The room i was put in was not a mountain view. I was subjected to horrible "living" conditions . They said they are renovating however maybe they should close for the season and fix things properly. This should not even be on the Expedia site as a good hotel. I knew it was a older hotel but when i post the pictures, they should really consider giving me a refund! They should have never assigned this room and just said there were no king rooms available. Then this post would not even be considered, depending on how the rest of the rooms look..

Property was in rough shape including rooms! Price was only $5 less than better quality hotels but doesn't even compare. If they repared things like the privacy locks and shower faucets it wouldnt be so bad but it seemed very neglected.

Nothing unique about that property and it was under construction .staff wasn't really polite and professional. They have children with them in the office. Somone keeping walking though the hall all the night, being nosey.
No privacy. The door have big gap between the frame and you can see through it right there
You can see through the curtains.

Room was a lot smaller than we expected and bathroom was really really small. We paid 10 dollars more per night so we had a view of the mountains. We did have a nice view.. staff were really nice but had to look for them. No room for luggage etc.

The hotel is undergoing some renovations and repairs, so there are some growing pains, but they make it very cozy. Staff was great, rooms are good sized and comfortable. Showers are hot! We tried 3 different motels on our trip. We will return to this one. The only reason i did not give them 5 stars on everything is simply because it is a work in progress.

We were trying to do an economical getaway, this place was just fine. No frills, but the staff was super friendly and responsive. We spent most of our time outside, and this was a nice, clean place to lay our heads. Best of all we got to have our dog with us and that made it great.

Positive: the room was clean. Negative: several items needed maintenance, the breakfast was pathetic, the overall price was about double what it was worth.

large gaps of air space were between wall and outside. Lucky enough that there were no bugs when we were there to come in but street noice came through the opening quite loud. Safety latch on door had been damaged and would not have kept an intruder out. Stains on hallway rugs and general appearance was poor. Nothing like the advertisement showed. Also the hotel was charging less for walkups than our price was.

The overall stay was okay. Breakfast was cold. Staff was friendly. Building needs some remodeling

Nice place. There are some renovations happening but not disruptive and we are excited to come back
and see the progress. We are big supporters of small business. Beds are are a little hard for our taste but rooms were clean. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Close drive to almost everything. Monitou downtown is worth a day trip! Note. There are no elevators so if you can’t do stairs make sure you get an accessible room

Close to many tourist attractions. Very limited parking due to redoing parking lot.

management was nice but we had issues with our reservations and cleanliness of the hotel. it was definitely the disappointing part of our trip. I would question how it got a good rating.

Worst place ever, very run down. The pictures are a lie. Mattress had blood and urine stains on it. Everything was so nasty. When asked for a refund, they refused. Asked to talk to the Manager and after a heated discussion he said he would refund as long as I didn’t give a bad review. Haha

A very interesting decor choice. Bed was very comfortable. Everyone was nice. We were only there for one night. Nice area, convenient. I would stay again.

It is an older property and they are doing much to improve and maintain what they have. It is in a great location, very easy to walk to downtown, oddly, it is very quiet, not what you'd expect. One of the views is of the property next, door, there's nothing to be done about that, except go outside and don't open the curtains.
There are no elevators, so keep that in mind for packing and for getting to the room. The staff is wonderful, check in was very accommodating and efficient.

The hotel staff were very pleasant but the hotel was very rundown and the bed were extremely uncomfortable. I know the owners just bought the place so it may not be what it could be in the future but right now it could definitely use some work.

I have stayed in many motels over the years, a lot of them nicer the The Cog Motel in Manitou. That being said, the staff, Heather and Tiquan, we absolutely the best I have ever encountered. They went above and beyond any expectations. I highly recommend staying there because of them. We will definitely be going back and I look forward to seeing the ongoing improvements this motel is implementing. Heather and Tiquan, if you happen to read this; Thank you so much!

The people did not care that the rooms were dirty and smells an beds were old an hard .we had to take out our own trash an asked for towels. We asked about restaurants in the area an the front desk said they didn't know of any. The staff was always standing around talking to each .

Old hotel, some remodel done, no elevator, stairs narrow. Beds were well used, took a while to get comfortable. Cleanliness of the room could have been much better.

The hotel was extremely dirty. The rooms had dirty sheets, disgusting floors and stinky towels. None of these things could be fixed and we were double charged. The hotel was double booked and they told us we were lucky to get the disgusting room

The staff was helpful and friendly. Great italian restaurant right across the street. There was a coffe maker in the room, but no coffee. That would have been nice, since we awoke well before it was available downstairs.

Overall it was a nice hotel . The room was clean accept for there was a used plastic knife in the ice bucket. The staff was very nice and was close to downtown where there was a lot to do. The only major complaint I had was we got there late (12am) and had to call several phone numbers to get help checking in

DO NOT GO HERE. We made a reservation, drove over two miles, and they claimed to never of had our reservation and they had no more rooms left. The main desk guy smelled heavily of alcohol. When we asked him to check again he said "I have people to check in who actually booked a room". We booked a room and we got multiple confirmation from expedia and we showed it to him. He denies anything but honestly was too drunk to probably read his schedule thing.
The outdoor pool looked absolutely disgusting. It is only 2ft and is tiny. The parking lot is crap. The receptionist is drunk and rude. The whole place looked run down in a not so good area.
We had to last minute find another hotel which was a whole town away (another hour), our foot spoiled, etc. Was a terrible experience and we are pissed. We are glad something didn't work out because this place shouldn't be opened.
DO NOT GO HERE. Expedia might be partially at fault, but this place is atrocious.
