THE ROOM WAS CLEAN, BUT BECAUSE OF THE VERY LOW CEILING YOU DIDN'T HAVE MUCH ROOM. TO GET TO THE COFFEE MAKER YOU HAD TO PRACTICALLY GET ON YOUR KNEES. THE BED WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. THERE WERE A LOT OF STAIRS TO GET TO THE ELEVATOR. THE BATHROOM WAS NICE.

The hotel is exceptionally placed in the old town of Lucerne, with an excellent bakery 10 m away. Unfortunately, it’s not suited to heat waves. The fan was tiny and windows opened to a noisy, hourly church bell ringing square. So if you really need sleep, book somewhere with aircon. The self check in was efficient, but any further emails regarding broken showers and fridges went unanswered.

The lobby is a restaurant with worn dirty rug. The self check-in didn’t work and I paper posted on box said to ask a restaurant employee. The room was extremely dirty. The floors were blackened and there wasn’t even handsoap. The shower had mold around the bottom and splatter is some sort on the walls. The bed was a 3” foam mattress w 2 twin blankets laid out like sleeping bags on the king bed. There was a small fan in the room but we had to close the windows due to large drunk people outside of the hotel past midnight. Dirty dirty dirty hotel.

The location of this hotel is very convenient. However, the room we got was very small and stuffy all the time, but that is only because there is no AC and it was hot outside. It would be perfect for a solo traveler, two at most. The room had small windows that you can open, but the view was blocked by another building (not all of the rooms have this view). You could hear when people walked up the stairs outside the room and the people staying above us. Overall, it was not a bad experience for a two night stay.

Collected the key from the restaurant downstairs. The Japanese Auntie is very helpful. Location is best and lot of shopping and restaurants.

There is someone to assist in check-in if you arrive during the day. Be prepared to carry your luggage up one flight of stairs to reach the elevator. We were focused on value and location, and Hotel Le Stelle delivered. When I had to go back to retrieve a forgotten item after check in, there was a process in place for that, even without someone on property, which was great! A couple of things to be aware of: 1. The sign is the same color as the wall, so it can be hard to spot. 2. Taxis won’t drop off/pick up right at the hotel due to its location in a pedestrian area. If you have lots of bags, this means hauling your luggage further.

Good spot in town but it was loud. They were doing construction first thing in the morning. Room was hot. You couldn’t cool it down until the sun went down and the bathroom was leaking water under the toilet. Not to mention there was no soap to wash your hands. not my favorite place I’ve stayed in the city. Will be going elsewhere next time.

The self check in was a seamless process. The location is great and easy to walk to shops and restaurants. However, the shower head was awful, you can’t shower hands free, there’s nowhere to put your soap bottles and the water leaked out everywhere into the the bedroom floor so it was wet everywhere! You can also hear the ringing bell from a nearby church at night. There is a lift in the hotel but it is very slow so be aware you might need an extra few minutes to wait for it.

Property is in older building. Self checkin was ok but makes you feel like your at Mac Donald’s. lift for bags was extremely small and did not go to ground floor and stairs are narrow and tight. Room was small even for Europe, there was a fridge which was nice. Was a one night stop over and was fine for that duration.

the location was perfect, it couldn't have been better. close to the bars,train station, shops and restaurants. the lady from the restaurant offered help and was pleasant. Yes, I would stay here again.

I guess the self checkin is a new concept for us. There was no one to talk to! But once you checkin then the rooms are well equipped with stuff, they are clean. Only annoying thing was the floors were very squeaky. The restaurant at the hotel entrance serves good Asian food. Location of the hotel was fantastic. Overall happy with the stay at Le Stelle

we had a little problem with the check in, but restaurant staff was very kind and helped us. The room is perfect. The only problem was that we were 3 minutes late to check out (it was raining and it took us a while to plan the route ) and the housekeeping was very angry and was rude.

It is lucky that I am 5 ft tall. 60 in. Only a midget will fit in this room. It is in the Attic.

Ok location was fantastic! Right near the Lake. However, it was very warm and there was NO A/c or breeze! Room was extremely small but efficient! Shower worked well. Check in went very well and the electronic lock for evening hours worked just as well. Would I stay here again? Maybe but would not be my first choice.

The location was great! Not the most logistical to get to, but never the less, great location near the water and close to great food and drinks! The room itself was very small. The majority of the room is the bed, but the bed is large. The shower head and water pressure was very good! Overall, for the price I would say you get what you’re paying for. Not bad, not the best.

very tiny. Only1 little bar of soap in bathroom. No place to put suitcases. No racks in bathroom for toiletries. Elevator very slow and didn’t go to ground floor.

Worst service ever. Hotels.com should not list this place. No human or robot contact. I had to call hotels.com to get info on how to check in (use restaurant next door). When the elevator broke down we were trapped a half hour and the hotel phone didn't work and the emergency #in the elevator didn't work. I called hotels.com but they couldn't get through either. I was trying to figure out how to call the local police when other visitors happened to come in and somehow got us out. They said they were going to downgrade the hotel too!

We stayed for six nights in August. We arrived at 11 and couldnt check in early as housekeeping was ongoing. We were able to check in an hour early at 2pm. Shower has great water pressure. Room was clean in the main foot traffic area. Under the bed was dusty though. There is no ice/water station or room service. There is no a/c, just a fan. I suggest an independent air conditioner considering global warming and how warm it is during the day. We had our windows opened all the time. There is a lift on the second floor. But you have to climb one flight of stairs to get to the lift.

The room was so small that I had no enough space to arrange my luggage in the hotel. I had difficulty carrying my luggage as there was no lift on the ground floor. The room was really close to the roof so it was too hot inside. The hotel's location was quite far from the station. But the hotel owners were kind.

Very clean and efficient. Space is very small. It was extremely warm with an awkward fan with very few power outlets. With a proper fan I would rate this room much higher. Great location!

The hotel is great if on a budget. Well worth the price for Luzern. Location is wonderful and price can’t be beat. I stayed in the single room on top floor. While the stairs were cumbersome with luggage (there is an elevator from floor one if needed, but set of stairs from lobby), being on top floor was great. I could hear the hallway noise at times, so would suspect any rooms with a guest above would be less ideal for noise sensitive people. The clock just around the corner, while pretty, does chime throughout the evening. Overall, seems to be an updated hotel in older building that is being nicely maintained.
