Hallway carpet STUNK. Awful to wa through. And check in was ridiculous. We got there early and room not ready which is fine but they would didn’t pre check us in and line was huge at 3 due to an event

I have been staying at Sonesta for over 12 years, traveling for business. I love the ocean views, and the short walk to great restaurants and the beach. Rick at the bar always remembers me, and he is the best.

The bathroom had no proper door. It was an accordian type swing door with a faulty lock. Also had to change the room because the initial room provided was all the way at the end of 3 long hallways. The check in agent should have noticed I had 2 kids that were already tired and assigned a closer room. Also, had to pay $35 a day separately for parking. So overall it became quite expensive. The food from the restaurant/bar by the lobby was very good, and was provided expeditiously.

With my daughter to take in a concert, love the hotel, very nice and clean. Valet parking, restaurants and bar for cocktails. Highly recommended also close to water.

Okay, not well kept. Hotel was dirty in common areas, walls and floors were grimy, lifting, dinged up. Staff were nice. Room was okay, but floors, walls and bathroom were just dirty and old. Old dirt in corners, on walls and doors

Great place to stay at for the Super Bowl 10k Race! And if you haven’t checked out Sol - restaurant on the property- it’s a must! Great food and reasonable prices!

When visiting our family Sonesta Redondo Beach is always our first choice hotel. It is comfortable, clean, and convenient to our kids home in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Everything was amazing! People were nice, food was amazing, the beds were so comfy! They only complaint I have is the showers. I'm a 6 foot women and the shower head caters to short people.

Great location, but the hotel itself is mediocre. My room had electrical outlets on the desk but none of them worked and there was no way for me to access the wall behind the desk to troubleshoot the issue. Since there were no outlets near the desk; I was unable to use my computer on the desk because there was no where to plug it in. The gym is split between two rooms which is inconvenient (cardio vs. weights). The cardio equipment is worn and corroded, and most have broken water bottle holders. I will choose to stay somewhere else next time I'm in town.

I wanted to love this property due to its location near the coast and Redondo Marina. The updated lobby area doesn’t match with the room we were provided. I booked the room with an ocean view for sunsets. I just expected it to be more clean and updated. It was clearly worn out, not very clean, the shower was dingy. The carpet appeared to be dirty. However, the location is good and traffic is not TOO terrible in the area. Walkable to restaurants & marina/harbor/pier.

It is conveniently located close to Redondo Beach pier, in a neighbourhood where locals meet (not very "touristy"). Hotel pool deck is very good, spacious with a beautiful view of the bay.

Cons: For $300 per night, I expected no mildew in the shower. That was gross. The tv is also old (the remote has a vcr button), and there's no way to check out on the tv. One phone was disconnected, and the other didn't work. And it was very stuffy upon arrival. Pros: the view is lovely. We had a partial ocean view room. The room also felt spacious, the mini fridge was a good size. I also called (from my cell) to ask for a late check-out, and they gave me an extra hour. But, yeah, mildew in the shower when im spending $300 per night was just unacceptable.

Hotel not busy during our stay, asking for higher floor however the front desk lady said it is not available. Give us a room in 3rd floor which is same level as pool people can see us. No privacy at all. And we are paying extra than regular price

These are the negatives Like a solid 4.1/5 -Lack of electric charger -Food was expensive -Cleaners only did 2 days we were there -Small bathroom towels -Short people shower head -Parking was a bit of a pain in the butt $36 per day??? Nits
