we stayed here to celebrate my daughters graduation from MSU (go green!) It was conveniently located to the school and all the bars and restaurants..only $8-10 ubers
The staff are friendly and efficient. The place is old and outdated. We paid 566 for 2 nights!! def not worth the price but it was what it was . Breakfast was standard

Overall not a great place to stay. The rooms and hallways are very dark. The staff was very unfriendly.

The property is super run down… super! It’s dark and dingy and dirty! The plaster on the walls is crumbling and it’s just left to collect on the floor. There are no elevators so if your room is on the second floor, know that you’ll be dragging everything up a dark stairwell, with sticky railings. Check in was painfully slow, the credit card processing only worked at one of the registers and the employees seemed truly puzzled by it all! The property needs attention!

The air heating system did not work well with either so cold or so hot and the bathroom has no vent and look like so many walls were not carefully passed up and holes on the ceilings in the main part of the room

Though I had an updated room. The thermostat did not work and I was cold. I had to put a towel in front of the door to keep the air from the cold hallway from coming in. My guest services personnel was rude . This hotel use to be a gem .

The hotel and room are extremely tired and run down. The room was clean but very old. The bathroom door handle was broken and did not discover this until the door was closed and would not open. It took me 10 minutes and panic to finely force it open. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

Group of family and friends booked rooms for staying in the area. Had a terrific dinner at a local restaurant and returned to the hotel… encountered excessive heat with no ability to adjust room temperature, bed that broke as soon as a guest sat on it, and the final straw… visible bed bugs. Did NOT stay… grabbed our stuff and left. Very disappointed.

It was very very dirty

The staff and cleanliness of the hotel was perfect, but the first room we were put in the phone, and refrigerator didn't work. Also there is NO AIR CONDITIONING!! The room was hot and stuffy there was no outside windows and no fan to cool it down. I was given a box fan that was dirty and barely worked but at least it got us through the nights. We were moved to another part of the building and it was slightly cooler but not comfortable. The door to the room looked and worked like it had been busted through a few times I had to wiggle the door back and forth to get it locked. For a cheap clean place to stay this is where you want to be, but if you like fresh air don't stay there.

PROS: Hot water and decent pressure for shower
CONS: Everything else - dirty, felt unsafe (my first room was down a dark dank hallway with no exterior lighting), the activities at the pool are heard by ALL because of the acoustics of the room and the fact that all the 2nd floor rooms are around the pool area. And apparently during my stay they had a 2 day birthday party where kids, at least 10, were screaming and hollering at the pool from 9 am until after 10 pm when it closes, then they continued to run through the halls screaming "Ready or not here I come" playing hide and seek. No adult supervision with any respect for others and no intervention from hotel staff. The beds were sub-par, my room smelled like weed and there were burn marks in the comforter, the door jam looked like it had been kicked in a time or two, there were damaged walls and furniture, etc. You get my point.

I stayed in room 142 & the thermostat was broken with no AC. Temp got up to 78 degrees so my family & I ended up leaving because nobody should have to sleep in that. The bathroom was tiny & the shower was broken as well. It’s unfortunate because my son really enjoys the heated pool & slide, but it’s definitely not worth what I paid. Not if I’ll ever stay here again

Do NOT stay here! They keep your $100 deposit regardless if you have kept your room clean or not! Everything is broken, there's no access to anything and no one was at the desk for 30 minutes while we rung the bell! Disgusting!

2 inch Gap under the door to start cold air blowing in.
Definitely probably had mice in our room.

There’s better places to stay. No AC, I didn’t have a remote for the tv in my room, some of the staff was less than friendly. I’d recommend to look elsewhere

The check in staff was fine, and the room was clean. However there was a very loud motor or fan rumbling all night long that made it hard to sleep, also the door had been damaged and was hard to close and open and the key only worked after several tries.

This hotel was very gross. There was dirt all over our floor, a ring of scum in the sink, and hair in the shower/bath. I am very upset I paid over $400 to stay in the poop hole.

There was no mention of any kind of a deposit that would be needed. I was told I had to put 100 deposit for incidentals. However, there were no incidentals that were available and when I asked what incidentals, I was told it was to protect against parties. So I could have put $100 on a card and wouldnt have gotten it back for 5 to 7 business days or I could go to their aTM and get cash..Which costs me another 3.50. I would understand if there were incidentals like a mini bar or something, but to take my money and protect against the 9 people in the room next door does not seem right at all. It was myself and my boyfriend coming to stay one night. However, there was a HUGE party next door that keep us up with slamming doors and a bunch of college kids. I called the front desk twice and got NO response. Also, it was almost 70 degrees on Friday and when we go in the room it was so hot it was unbearable. When I asked the front desk how to turn the ac on, they said they had already turned it off for the season. I literally had to sleep on the floor as it was the coolest part of the room in front of the mini refrigerator to get cold air. Worst freaking night of my life after working 10 hours that day, driving to East Lansing and not being able to sleep for the heat and the parties. If you want a good night's sleep for good price without getting gouged for money and dealing with drunk college kids. Dont go to this hotel. Will never visit a Quality Inn ever.

The bathroom wasn't super clean, but I was easily switched to a different room. Great breakfast options. Quiet place.

The room was clean. The carpet in the hallways was disgusting. It’s like they were trying to replanted the walls but forgot to cover the carpet while doing that. The carpet was filthy with dirt, also. The hotel rooms had vinyl flooring luckily. The bedding was clean. We all joked that maybe the place is also rented out hourly. We stayed there four adult men for a football game so it worked for us, but no way would I take my wife and 3 kids there!

Worst hotel experience I've ever had

Multiple people in our party found bed bugs in their rooms. The bathroom in our room had mold and food was left on the floor.

I like the breakfast

Only thing worthwhile was the pool, which was kept heated. Food is walking distance from it , but I don't advise on the breakfast that is provided. The room was dirty with food under the bed and ants. Careful closing the bathroom doors might get locked in. All in all not worth it unless you plan on sleeping in the pool.

My stay at the hotel was very disappointing. The first room they gave me had feces in the toilet and a foul odor in the room and bathroom. I complained and they moved me to another room, but the key did not work. I complained again and they gave me a new key, but then I realized the lock was broken. Then I noticed that there was no iron in this room, even though there was an ironing board. I called the reception for an iron, but they argued that not all rooms have irons. I don't understand why they would provide an ironing board without an iron. After a long argument, they finally gave me an iron.
The chairs in the room were stained and the bathroom smelled bad. The only good thing about the hotel was the breakfast, which was of good quality.

Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at - air conditioning wasn't working, shower drain was broken, loud buzzing noises at night, etc. I saw the bad reviews online but chose to ignore them, hoping they were overdramatic. They were not.
