Dirty and either too cold (no heat) or too warm. Staff said if we came back next year he would offer a better room. Poop on toilet rim and shower too dirty too use. Carpet turned my white socks black. Could go on but just do not stay there.

Great location, easily walkable to Harvey's Outside Venue and casinos. Reception was friendly and nice. If you just need a bed for a night, might be a decent option, but walls are quite thin, and noise travels. We were on ground level, and could hear people overhead walking, maybe upstairs would be quieter, but no elevator. Also, might want to request extra blankets if needed before office closes, thin covers on bed, and no spare in room.

They have not cleaned the carpets. The carpet was full of stains. Bad odor. They do not clean under the bed. My dog found a sock and old food underneath the bed. I had to check out early because I was getting sick. They rushed us to get out when I had paid for a second day. They wanted to rent out the room as quickly as possible.

Old hotel. Needs to be updated badly!

This is one of the last hotels near Stateline with the old Tahoe vibe. It seems most other hotels have been sold to the highest bidder, get a new coat of paint and then start charging $300 a night. Stateline has changed a lot since I was kid. We were up here as a last minute trip to see family and just needed a bed, a roof, and a bath. That’s what we got and it did the job just fine. No frills, no spas. If you’re looking for luxury, this may not be the place for you. If you’re a weary traveler however, Tea Garden Lodge is wonderful. They allow pets too which my dog thinks is great. Thanks.

Another great stay at the Tea Garden Inn: Quiet, clean, and comfortable! See my post from last week for more details.

This was the second time we had stayed at the Tea Garden, and again it was awesome. Rooms were clean, and the bed super comfortable. The Tea Garden is 2 blocks from the casinos, so it is an easy walk to concerts at Harvey’s via the back entrance (behind Harvey’s). It is also only about a 10 minute walk to the beach. I emphasize walk as you will not get a parking spot. Be aware the beach costs $25 a person, but ask about discounts at check-in. As an added bonus you get Jimmy! Jimmy is the owner, and he is super positive and always hustling to make the place as nice as it can be. Now, to be honest, the Tea Garden is an older place, but it is kept up well. There is no central AC, but portable AC units are provided. If you are staying at Tahoe and just need a place to sleep and shower, the Tea Garden is perfect! On fact, we are staying there this week again!

Cheap price but you get what you pay for
- check in at 4pm. Latest checkin I’ve ever seen. Front desk area wasn’t even open until 4 so not even an option for earlier check in
- If you are looking for updated and clean rooms look somewhere else. Shower was pretty dirty, a little scrubbing would help, carpet was worn and nails sticking out where carpet and tile were made to come together. We had to put a towel down to not cut our feet.
- Beds were so noisy when you moved even the slightest bit. Very hard mattress as well.

Very nice and friendly manager, room was great, location amazing to Harvey's concert. Clean, comfy, even let us keep our car there for a few hours after we checked out. Excellent price and would stay again in a heartbeat.

The hotel was not well cleaned. I could tell because there was still dust on counters. Don’t expect house keeping because they don’t worry about that. There is no ace so at nights it would get hot. Their wifi reception is not the best. you get what you pay for, it was an affordable price but next time I would rather stay at a cleaner location.

The room did not have A/c and plus heater was on and no way to adjust it low. When I tried to call front desk no help came plus I called service agent Expedia for assistance and she was also not able to reach front desk. I was looking for a good rest and due to heater I was not able to sleep properly. That made my next day exhausting & tired

Shabby reception. The guy doing the checkin wrote my credit card number in a piece of paper. Small room. Bathroom does not have exhaust. Bed is old and irregular.

Good spot to stay but needs to get microwaves and a fridge in the room
