We love staying here it’s clean and simple. Love the breakfast!

I was pleasentley surprised with my stay here. Its an older establishment, and priced appropriately when taking that into consideration. The staff was wonderful and friendly, the restaurant was good and welcoming. There is the smell of old cigarette smoke, which is also to be expected as its an older building with a restaurant, bar and casino all attached. The bed was comfortable and showers hot! I would recommend this if you are not looking for fancy, but still want great service, good food, and a comfy bed to sleep!

amenities were good. However, the room was one of the dirtiest rooms I've stayed in.

There was a vacancy here so we took it. The room was terribly hot and the restaurant wasn’t open.

Linda was so nice at checkin. The maid was so kind. The hot breakfast next door was great. The room was too warm but the AC was being repaired. Very nice place.

We had a very clean room on the second floor. Staff were exceptional and friendly. They even offered to carry our luggage up the stairs for us. Breakfast was great. They give you a coupon to use at the Lariat restaurant next door. We were there on a Saturday morning and the place was full of locals which is always a good thing. Servers were friendly, polite and warm and took great care of us. Food was great. Yes as some reviews indicate there is a heavy smoke smell in the area but our room was not effected. This was the best deal we encountered traveling from Florida to Seattle. Much better than two Harrahs we stayed at in Metropolis and Council Bluff. Also stayed at an over priced Comfort Suites in Missoula that had no hot water. Would not hesitate.

Staff upgraded my room. Let me stay longer than check-out so i could take a shower because of a water issue.

So even though it's listed as "pet friendly" that only applies to dogs. Not until I was checking in at 12am due to travel delays did I find out that they do not allow cats....there was a sign at the front desk saying "sorry we no longer allow cats"
The desk clerk was very nice and did some leg work to find a place in Gillette WY, that would allow cats, which happened to be Howard Johnson, next door. There was only a slight difference in price.
It would have been super nice to know that "pet Friendly" does not apply to all pets, prior to booking, as I would have stayed somewhere else and not pushed through an extra 3 hrs.
I did immediately receive a refund, and again the staff was helpful and understanding of my predicament. The two stars are only related to that information not being listed anywhere on-line.

It was so smokey even though we got a non smoking room that i couldn't breath. Super glad we we're only staying 1 night, it was 1 night too much.

We especially enjoyed that we could have a full breakfast prepared for us every morning in the restaurant next door. We ate dinner there as well because there food was good. Also, liked that after a full day we could relax and enjoy the happy hour in the Lounge next door. The room was comfortable. We will happily revisit next time we're in town.

The lobby was deceiving. The room had an odd smell, needed to be updated , but was clean. What I mean by updated, is paint, carpet, furniture, and etc.
However , let’s talk about the front desk clerk Linda. She was spectacular. She was thorough with explaining things and answered all my questions. She was just lovely and very welcoming! Everyone needs a Linda!

Very dated property. Theres no elevator. End of our hall way stairs near 281 was smelly like dog pee. My ac was cold, but couldnt run on high because the fan would start hitting something.
Some folks had to repeatedly daily get their cards rekeyed. This is just a older well used hotel. Free breakfast with online reservations was plain but goid, eggs, bacon, hashbrown and toast-- Waffle- 2 pancakes, 2 eggs- oat meal- french toast.
I was registered and paid to be there for 8 days, total price including taxes , divided out came to $170 a day. I was able to shorten my 8 day stay to 7. I went to the front office before the 11am check out time to check out a day early. I asked about a refund of the extra day. The office worker said they could not authorize one since i booked thru expedia, and for me to contact them. Which i did. They called the hotel to discuss the possibility of the refund. And the manager basically said no.
Was very disappointed.
If i ever am in Gillette again, I wont be staying at this hotel.
Sorry. But thats how I Feel.

The motel is on the east side of town. The property is old and dated; the rooms were as clean as they could be considering the "age" of the carpet, furniture, etc. The bed was comfortable, the sheets clean and the shower water has hot and had good pressure. Be sure you specify you want a non-smoking room and confirm that is what you got BEFORE you unpack. The whole facility smells like a wet cigarette but. Linda at the front desk was exceptional! You get a "free" breakfast (included with the price of the room) at the restaurant next door, The restaurant is non-smoking but the "casino" right next door must allow smoking as the smoke/smell from there permeates to other areas. I don't know that I would stay there again.

This hotel is dirty and run down. The rating on Hotels.com is very deceiving.

Advantages: very friendly staff, nice lobby, great breakfast
Disadvantages: the property is very old and very dirty. It does not meet the average standard, our bathroom had water on the floor from the leaking toilet and did not have a desk. Both the room and the property looked like it hasn't been cleaned for a while. On our bed linen there was plenty of dog hair :( Even though the lady at the reception was very nice I wouldn't stay again.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke, it made one of our party sick. The hot water was hot, but the cold wouldn’t turn on enough to balance it. The breakfast wasn’t bad, but the restaurant smelled like smoke also.

place to stay on a long trip west. best breakfast in 3 weeks of travel.

Room and hotel lobby smells like cigarettes, even though they claim to be non-smoking. Food was decent, staff at restaurant very helpful.

The lady desk clerk was very nice as well as informative. However, she put us in a room located in the back of the hotel, which was smack dab in the middle of run down rooms that were occupied by long term renters. Our next door neighbor was a tweeker and his actions freaked us out. I have stayed at this hotel several times but in the front and inside rooms which were always decent. I will stay again but not in the back of the hotel.

The staff was the best part....from the front desk to the waitress in rhe attached restaurant. Very friendly and accommodating. The roof was leaking in several areas, with buckets laid out theoughout the main lobby. Mold, curled wallpaper, and water damage throughout! Our heater wouldnt stay regulated and it was cold....while our friends room was too hot. They need to put.some money into the place and we are surprised the city hasn't intervened.

Front staff very friendly, comfy bed and quiet for our one night stay
