The location was good, at the northern end of Bakersfield. The staff were good, I had no negative or off putting interactions with them. They quickly addressed an issue regarding a very noisy person next to my room. The negative is while I had prepaid they charged me again and didn't check me out and charged me for that day. I discovered this when I got home. I spoke to the manager and he immediately apologized and addressed the problem. I expect this was an anomaly. I was very happy with how quick and responsive the manager was in addressing this. One phone call was all it took. He did what he said he would do and within the time frame he had stated. I would stay there again.

This hotel was awful and treats their customers just as awful. The steam from their shower set off the smoke alarm at around 10am. We were accused of smoking in the room even though we don’t smoke and were told if it happens again we would be evicted. Then at 2am an angry woman named Denise, woke us up pounding on the our door saying she is the manager, we set the alarm off, we needed to leave, and she charged my card $265 for incidentals. She then told me that I need to go to the front desk, where she proceeded to yell at me across the lobby at 2am and she continued to yell even as I was getting on the elevator to leave. I stated that I did not hear an alarm going off and my husband and I were both sleeping there is no way we could set off the alarm. Denise said we didn’t hear anything because she turned the alarm off before it could be heard. There were no concerns for anyone’s safety which is terrifying if a fire alarm is going off. The next morning I waited several hours for the real manager arrived, I was told there was no alarm and the horrendous tyrant who woke us made a mistake. I refused to stay another day at this place and we cut our birthday trip 2 days short. I checked out 2 days ago and they still have a hold on my bank for almost triple the amount of the reservation. This hotel will literally bleed your bank account dry during your stay and will blame you for their computer/alarm errors.

We had a nice stay here. The service was very friendly! Bill has excellent customer service. We enjoyed the indoor pool & hot tub, as well as the free breakfast. We would definitely stay again.

We stopped for the night on our way to Yosemite. Price as good. Room was very nice, spacious, & clean. Check in was good, breakfast wasn’t bad.

They scanned a copy of guests drivers license. Wanted a scan of my credit card also. This is hotel policy they said. Swimming area is terrible; too green and stinky. Maybe the water is not maintained correctly, but we couldn’t last 20mins of it. Fire alarm went off 3am. Walls are super thin. Would not recommend, that’s my thoughts. Convenient location is probably the best thing. I would not stay again.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted like family. The staff does recognize us as we’ve stayed several times for several nights. This is a good thing! Thank you!! Every request was immediately honored during our 3 night stay. Also, Your EVS girls are wonderful. Our room was very clean and fresh and they were very helpful with freshening our bathroom each morning. This little thing is HUGE to us!! Bed and pillows were very comfy. Noted new bed spreads since our Christmas stay and they are a nice neutral touch! We stay first floor by freeway and while there’s some noise, it’s not interfering with rest. New fast food keep opening and you are well set up for meals and or your favorite coffee, all within walking distance. Easy access to 99. As dog parents this hotel is your place to stay. Big dog friendly!

Amazing customer service. We were greeted warmly and the whole check in process was smooth and easy. The hotel was extremely clean and so was our room. Breakfast was good and again very clean breakfast area. Plenty of coffee including decaf and lots of creamers. Overall, excellent experience. Additionally, I felt very safe. The parking lot was well lit.

We like the La Quinta hotels because they are near the route generally you are going. Having the included breakfast is a wonderful convenience. And for us when we generally travel we have our dog with us and it is so great to know that LqQuinta accepts pets.

Easy to find off of Highway 99. Lots of free parking. Quick and friendly check-in. Nice room and comfortable beds. Tasty breakfast featuring nicely prepared scrambled eggs, bacon, and do-it-yourself waffles. Checkout was less than 1 minute.

It did feel and look clean enough. (No bedbugs that I could see, or any other kinds of bugs.) I like the shampoo, etc. being in the containers that they’re in. No easy guide for the TV, did not like that. The noise was from hot-rodding cars near the hotel…not the hotel’s fault but noisy nonetheless.

The refrigerator was not working. Traveling with an infant who needed milk to be cooler, had to throw it out. Told the front desk and was told there was nothing they can do, and told me to contact the manger on a weekday. Toilet was leaking from the back. Told front desk- nothing they can do about that either

It was my first time staying at a La Quinta. Our shower was clogged. I called the front desk and she plunged the shower. It was still clogged. This place is pretty nice regarding condition. It's not outdated, but not new and modern. Like many other reviewers, the breakfast is lacking. My favorite amenity was the indoor pool. I forgot my toothbrush and they didn't have any for free. That was another con of this place.

I think this is probably the last time I’ll stay at La Quinta. Reason being that they really have a decade old appliances and the property surroundings are generally not that well maintained. Speaking specifically about this property, there was dog poop in the designated dog areas. You may say it’s not the property’s fault but the people who don’t pick up and I agree. But it shows the type of people who come here. I have a pet and I don’t do it but then people who literally don’t care live there and that’s one of my concerns. Secondly their appliances are so old but the charges of the room is on par with Marriott and Hilton. The breakfast was so passable that I don’t think they should even advertise it as included. Overall I would say the days of me staying at La Quinta are definitely over.

Minor maintenance lacking. Hated that you couldn’t turn off bathroom fan with light on. Kinda loud and annoying. Great location and they allowed our little dog.
