Lovely building, very clean and well presented. Room was warm and comfortable with good amenities. Restaurant is quite expensive, food quality was good, but menu is limited.

Spent a night here with a friend getting away from our families to catch up properly.
We paid a very reasonable amount for bed and breakfast in a twin room and breakfast was really delicious with plenty of choice.
The room had a fabulous vaulted ceiling and the beds were really comfortable.
All in all a great place to stay and we would definutely return. Thank you 😊

With its close proximity to the manor it seemed like the ideal place to stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, but generally we felt it was overpriced and not value for money. There was 1 socket in the bedroom that served all electrical devices, so if you wanted the lamp and fan/ hair drier on or even a laptop you had to choose!! The restaurant menu was disappointing, the breakfast mean, and this had to be pre ordered. I couldn't get the free WiFi to work. The car park is small, and with many of the manor staff drinking there in the evening, we struggled to park. There are electric charging points. The bed however was comfortable and there was a fan in the room - a godsend on one of the hottest days of the year - but we're back to the one socket in the room to serve everything. There was a Nespresso machine but no instructions. The desk had a chair but you couldn't get your legs underneath

Very nice hotel , very friendly staff couldn’t do enough for you .

Lovely hotel and food. Let down by the need to preorder breakfast and then at breakfast keep having to ask for all the things you had preordered - seemed a little pointless.

Characterful property with pretty garden. Room was tiny, not as advertised. Quite shabby, window paint peeling, mirrors very dusty, bathroom could do with a good clean! Cobwebs galore, wish there was the option to attach a photo of them! There are so many good features of the hotel but think we got the worst room maybe.

Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Large, well equipped rooms with excellent facilities. Good, imaginative food.

We selected the Five arrows on the basis of a planned visit to Waddesdon Manor which is virtually its gates. Importantly, the food and dining experience was clearly evident on the website. also useful is its location and parking which are on a main road.
The staff welcome was warm, the bedroom had the charm of a long-established hotel and the Wi Fi was brilliant.
The restaurant was delightful and the food and service were exceptional.

Love this hotel. Excellent location for Waddesdon manor. Looking a bit tired though. Like most places at the moment think it’s having trouble getting staff. But staff that were there were lovely

Great hotel. Would definitely stop there again.

The food was excellent but that was the only outstanding thing. For what we had paid you expect a higher standard of service, little touches in your room (no robes, one biscuit) and very cheap linen and pillows.
There is no lounge area to relax and we were expected to sit on bar stools! Had to fight to get a proper table.
Very disappointed and would not be returning or recommending

Friendly staff, quiet room and delicious dinner and breakfast. Check-in was chaotic, although we had arrived after check-in time. Our room was not ready so we had to use the bar toilets to get changed. Then we were shown to a room where we started to unpack, only to then be told that it was the wrong room. We repacked, were advised that the correct room was still not ready so we had to leave cases with staff in order to get to a pre-arranged event at Waddesdon Manor. Although the staff were apologetic and helpful, it made for an uncomfortable and rushed start to our stay.

Good staff throughout especially at reception. Excellent location fro visiting Waddesdon.
The village needs a bypass but that is not the hotel’s responsibility.

Lovely location, room very clean and comfortable. Staff friendly, however stay really spoilt by poor service in the restaurant during our evening meal. So bad -40 minutes waiting to order dessert -gave up!

Great stay at a lovely small hotel. The room we had was a good size and had a balcony. The hotel is very smart and the decor is amazing and very tasteful.
The breakfast was well presented and there was a good choice available.
We only stayed for two nights but would love to stay for a longer.

This historic hotel can only get a low score, because, they are very limited on the accessibility room for the disable. I pre-warned the hotel and mentioned my wheelchair and needing space with accessibility.
My room was on the ground floor but had a deep step and griddle mat, with double doors, another two steps although smaller. However, to get into the bathroom there was this big step, bigger, than getting into the room.
I asked for a junior suite for the space, but it appear to be a deluxe double, although I got charged for junior suite. The lady at reception could not give me the reduce rate because her manager was not in. I was informed the manager would call me and discuss the price reduction. I was not happy and did not want to pay full price. This should have been addressed whether the manager was around or not.
I came to this hotel for a fifty tea party. I didn’t go to the toilet, but I believe it was upstairs, there was no mention of any being down stairs.
The customer service was good and very helpful, but I wanted my independence. Asking to get into a room, was not a good start when I was feeling unwell. Unfortunately, breakfast in the room was also a disappointment.
In conclusion, this hotel is not fully accessible as it claimed when I phoned up. Although, nicely decorated with antiques and competitively priced, I felt cheated and lied out of my money.
For three previous weekends I had stayed in hotels and this was the worse.

2 night stay, food was not brilliant. Food took ages to come on one night, but it wasn’t particularly busy. Then a cold desert, served with ice cream come on a hot plate? This had the effect of 1/2 warming the desert so Injad a warm lower and cold upper section. Also had the chicken which was greasy, and if you are going to triple cook chips, use real potatoes, not reconstituted which just end up a horrible greasy mess.

Really lovely B&B. The only 2 things that annoyed us was that they say 'breakfast is included' but when I asked for a cappuccino, they said they will need to charge me because they served 'cafetiers' for breakfast. If you say you are including breakfast, you include any coffee. It was quite petty to have to charge me extra.
Also, the bathroom bin was not emptied after the last person used the room.
Little things but when you pay over £100, you expect a certain standard.
Otherwise, an absolutely lovely B&B. White company toiletries, room was beautiful and the sausage in the cooked breakfast was absolutely divine!
