This was a very relaxed Holiday for us. We slept well, and enjoyed the breath taking 360 degree views. Everything was clean and the beds were incredible. It was easy check in and communication was great!

We had a great time to SD for our first visit there! The pictures online do not do this house justice! Very clean, decorated adorable, and very comfortable! Kitchen had all amenities we needed. Owners even left us a basket of smores supplies for us to enjoy with our kids at the bonfire pit! The views are SPECTACULAR! Also, only a few minute drive into town and centrally located to many attractions. Would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The cabin was a perfect set-up for two adult couples. My husband and I stayed here with his parents. Having a bedroom and bathroom on each floor was nice for a little more privacy. The view of the nearby mountains was outstanding! Very clean and beautifully decorated. Very close to Custer and Hill City.

We had the most amazing time! The cabin location was perfect and views were spectacular! Secluded, but close enough to Custer and other parks to easily take day trips and enjoy all the black hills have to offer! Hot tub and fire pit just added to the list of the amazing amenities this property has to offer!

The home and the views are so outstanding, the owners would not have to do anything else for this to be a wonderful stay. Instead, they have added many extras for the comfort of the customer (well-stocked kitchen, plush linens, access to a garage, wood for firepit, and birdseed for the feeders). Very clean. It takes just a few minutes to be in downtown Custer, so add location to the mix!

We were very impressed from the time we walked in! The place was so clean and the accessories were so welcoming!! You can tell the owners care about this property and want to make whoever rents it enjoy the time they spend there . There were so many options for inclement weather, you would not be bored. There were also plenty of other amenities that if you forgot something, you were covered. The area has a lot to offer, huge deck to sit out and enjoy the wildlife over a cup of coffee in the morning and a nice fire pit for the evening. Love this place!!

The house was perfect. Beautiful view, quiet location yet close to town. The cabin itself was very clean and had everything we needed including comfortable beds. We enjoyed the hot tub every evening after our day of exploring and hiking. The hosts were so thoughtful. This was a birthday celebration for me and they left a wonderful gift basket. Although we didn’t meet them, they lived in the neighborhood and were always a text away. They contacted me one evening to let us use the garage due to an impending hail storm. We missed the cabin when we checked out to explore another area.

Our family of 5 had the best time staying here during our trip to the Black Hills!
From the time we pulled into the driveway to the second we did the final lock-up, we couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful this place was. The entire property is very well taken care of and the views are second to none!
We loved sipping on morning coffee overlooking the mountains, soaking in the hot tub after long days of adventuring, and enjoying s’mores by the bonfire.
The house was so clean and the hosts really think of everything!
We will definitely stay here again if/when we venture back to Custer!!

Our stay was great! The house had more than everything we needed (comfortable beds, roomy, nice yard, fire pit, hot tub, large yard, grill, etc.). The location was perfectly centered for everything we wanted to see also. Rushmore, Custer State Park and Keystone were all less than half an hour away, and the Badlands were only 90 minutes away.
We'll definitely try to stay again when we return!

This is a wonderful cabin with all the extras. Comfortable beds, well maintained hot tub beautiful kitchen for making meals. Home is clean and the hosts include thoughtful touches like snacks, coffee, shampoo etc. The views from the deck are wonderful. It is peaceful and a perfect base camp for all the area attractions: mt Rushmore, Custer etc.

This house was all we could ask for on our family vacation to Custer. The beds were comfortable and the linens were top notch. Everyone slept so well. The bed under the stairs was a favorite for ourdaughters. They felt so secure and cozy in that spot.
The room darkening roller shades in the bedrooms were a nice touch. So often homes don't have good window coverings to block out light. Although with the exterior lights of the house turned off the space was nice and dark.
While there are neighbors the spacing between the houses makes you feel like you're alone in the woods with that fantastic view of the Black Hills. We felt secluded while still so close to town. It was such a peaceful and relaxing stay. Given the size of the lot our daughters were free to roam and enjoy the outdoors while being observed from the house. I loved the amount of windows in the living space and bedrooms. There was really little need for additional lighting and the breeze through the home felt wonderful.
Our daughters were able to enjoy a campfire in the firepit and roast marshmallows for the first time. The skewers for roasting the marshmallows were right next to the firepit.
The hosts were very accommodating offering to assist in any of our needs.
The home was the perfect place to decompress from busy city life. Frankly if I could manage it, I'd love to rent the home for an entire summer. To date, this was probably the best vacation we've taken as a family.

The cabin is exactly how it appears in the pictures except more stunning in person. The owners paid very close attention to details when it came to comfort, style, accessibility, the decor, amenities and location. We build a fire, and used the hot tub. The view was just amazing. It was very hard for us to leave this beautiful cabin. We will definitely be back.

This cabin is absolutely beautiful. It was the cleanest VRBO we've ever stayed in, with everything we could possibly need, as well as welcome snacks and drinks. The home is beautiful inside and out. The owners are very helpful and even let us park in their garage during a potential hail storm. The porch is a perfect spot for a morning cup of coffee or an evening adult beverage. It is located close to lots of great hiking and activities as well as the town of Custer. We would 100% stay here again!

This cabin truly has it all, views, amenities and luxuries. The owners had everything we could ever need fully stocked at the cabin. It is so close to the beautiful town of Custer, yet so easy to get to Mt.Rushmore, Sylvan Lake or any other excursions. The owners were incredibly responsive and easy to work with and even left some nice surprises for us upon our arrival. Truly a 5 star property. Thank you for making this such a great home away from home during our 1st family vacation!

Perfect! We stayed in Custer for a few days on our way west. This house was everything we could have asked for and more. It was very clean and so stylish. The little welcome gift and all of the extra touches were so sweet. We visited wind cave park where we saw Buffalo, then Crazy Horse, Mt Mt Rushmore, the mammoth dig in hot springs, and hiked in Custer St Park. We ate at the house two nights and enjoyed s’mores around the fire pit and a few disks in the hot tub. Currently staying at another home in Wyoming and we miss the home in Custer. We are traveling with our two daughters and my husbands parents. If you are headed to Custer don’t hesitate on this place!

If you visit the Black Hills/Custer area, you need to stay at this amazing property. Jovann and her husband are the best hosts and have one of the most amazing properties I’ve ever stayed in. My husband and I sat on the deck each night and enjoyed THE BEST view! The closeness to the city of Custer made it convenient to shop, do dinner or grab groceries, yet still feel like you’re out in the middle of know where. The inside of the cabin is adorably decorated and makes you feel like you’re at home as soon as you walk in the door. We were sad to miss out on the hot tub as a storm the day before knocked out its heater, but Jovann made it up to us with bringing over a bottle of wine. Thanks for sharing your special place with us for our 25th Anniv, Jovann. We hope to be back to visit with our kiddos one day and enjoy your place again.

Top notch by far best vrbo ever stayed in, and we’ve been staying in vrbo for decades. Hosts thought of everything we might need! From the wonderful beds, fully equipped kitchen even s’mores for the fire pit!

Great vacation in South Dakota with family. The vacation rental was perfect for our stay. Very clean and comfortable. Location was excellent. Hot tub and fire pit we enjoyed very much. Saw lots of wild life right on the property. Owners very attentive and the little extras, snacks and wine are a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again.

We had the most amazing time in this cabin! It was the perfect location for easily getting to all of the nearby national parks, and the cabin itself is wonderful. We loved ending our days in the hot tub looking at the stars. The bed were so comfy. We ha dinner around the fire pit and felt like we were camping. We even saw wild turkeys walk through the yard a couple times.

This house was every bit of what we expected from the pictures in the listing. The location was a perfect mix of privacy yet close proximity to the town of Custer and the Park. The kitchen had what we needed to prepare meals during our week long stay and the lower level was perfect for the kids. We watched the sunset on the mountains from the hot tub every night. We would definitely recommend this home.

Our stay with Jodi and Rick was the best overall rental experience we have had! I couldn’t even think of a complaint if I tried to make one up! Gorgeous cabin in the black hills. Immaculate, meticulously decorated and beautifully appointed home. We seriously considered extending our stay just to enjoy the stunning views from the living room. Loved the hot tub on frozen nights. So conveniently located to all the local attractions. Skogen Kitchen was fabulous for a higher end dinner that would rival the best restaurants in New York City. Also loved Buglin' Bull and Custer Wolf for pub food and drinks. Host was extremely communicative and left us treats and essentials at check in. Would love to come back in the warmer months for hiking and more sight seeing. Thanks again Jovann!
