Fair enough

It's located near the beach. They gave us a room on an upper floor as I requested which I appreciate!. Staff is friendly enough and I liked the colors off the decoration.

On the bad side, It's not logical that the hotel has a pool and they don't give you towels to use at the pool. There's no place to put your shampoo and stuff in the shower. For seconds while you are trying to enjoy a hot shower the water from the shower comes out cold which is very annoying. And also after the shower the bathroom is a mess because all the water splashes out. Majorca seems to be little Germany, however I find unacceptable that the hotel does not have one TV channel in English, almost all are in German an two in Spanish. I know the cost of maintenance must be high but the indoor pool should be open always. And the safe didn't work.

Mallorca is great. Hotel Oleander has deep rooted management issues.

Location is great. Price is great.

Staff was unprofessional and often went out of their ways to make our stay extra miserable. No one cared about guest experience, they only cared about charging you a bit extra for anything. One of two front desk people spoke 'ok' English, a couple of people barely spoke a sentence or two and everyone else spoke Spanish or German to us even though we tried to explain we don't speak those languages every time. During our 10 days stay they've changed our bedding once thinking we won't notice. On multiple requests to speak with a manager we were told he's in the hospital.

Last minute holiday for some September sun.

Five minutes to the beach. Room cleaned every day. Lots of places to eat nearby. Great weather.

People drinking and smoking all day around the pool making it unwelcoming. Felt alienated by the cultural differences between us and the other guests. Expensive for room only.

Exceptional

Best value for the money. Good variety of food. We even eat sepias and they have paella almost everyday. Delicious coctails served in the bar and also for the good price. (5,60 for mochito)

Extra fee for the dinner drinks.

Exceptional

Great hotel! Excellent servise, nice swimming pool. Excellent breakfast and dinner. We were in 5th floor, nice view with seaside. You can also buy a dinner as a hotel resident if you want. This possibility is really good! Calm address but really close to the center and beach. Near is everything, bus stop, beach, restaurants, shops, park.

Look somewhere else, you can find better hotels for comparable price.

The location is quite good, very close to the beach and some grocery stores. The pool and surrounding area are quite nice. The room was fairly clean.

The food was just unacceptable - hard to digest for both me and my girlfriend, canned fruit etc. We had the dinner twice, for the third night we went to a restaurant in the city. Breakfasts are slightly better but still mediocre. The staff was rude, except for a guy at the desk who was calling a taxi for us during our checkout - he was great, but that was an exception.

Family vacation for a week

distance to the beach and shops. pools, cleanliness of the room. staff did great job, they were so welcoming and always smiling. salads at the dinner were so tasty, I always had to get more..paella dish at the dinner just yummy, air conditioning worked perfectly in such hot weather, fridge in the room, drying rack at the balcony,

Coffee wasn’t that good, maybe I am just too spoilt in Italian coffee…some vegetables weren’t freshly cooked( mushrooms seemed to be from a jar) some breakfast pastries were stale..Juice machine didn’t serve juice but some powder mix drink( nevertheless my daughter liked it ;)All in all there was a lot of food to choose from and you will never be hungry :)

Overall a fabulous stay in a great location. I would definitely recommend the hotel

The room was on a high floor with great views of the pool. Good sized room with plenty of storage too. Balcony a good size with washing line to dry towels, etc. Pool was excellent and plenty of sunbeds to go around too. Definitely worth paying that little bit extra for a superior room with a pool view - you also get sea views (don't expect too much from the tv though - no English channels - only Spanish and German). The breakfast was great, so many choices and always very fresh.

Although the shower was very powerful, you had to be careful as it went in a cycle of warm - boiling - freezing, but we soon got used to it and the cubicle is big enough to step away when it got too hot or too cold! One issue we had was the second time we paid for evening meal in the restaurant - we arrived at 8.15pm (same time as we had the 1st time we went in) - within 15 minutes of arriving the staff proceeded to start 'tidying' away the food and taking all the labels off so we had no idea what we were eating! (thank goodness we don't have any allergies). Also they were not replenishing the food, so if you just wanted a simple plate of chips and what looked like lasagne (only 1 portion left), you had no hope :-(. I definitely think they need to address this as people were coming in after us and paying and definitely wouldn't get what they had just paid for.

Disappointing

The hotel had clean rooms, nice pool and was good value for money.

I had a few issues with the room lock not working, this took half a day to fix with no apology or compensation. My room location at the back of hotel had a loud bin truck that arrived at 5am every morning. The food was very basic compared to similarly priced hotels close by.

Good value, facilities, near beach, slow check-in.

Good hotel for the price. Good location - only a few minutes walk to the beach. Can usually find a parking space nearby in the street. Large swimming pool and not overcrowded (in early june).

Room was a bit small but ok for the price. Reception staff take a long time to check-in (explaining every little point that nobody cares about). One elevator was not working so there is a queue sometimes (luckily i was on first floor so just take the stairs).

Superb

It was a great place to stay price x quality. Very comfortable bed and clean facilities.

The buffet for dinner was ok but need s more effort from cooks to make more fresh dinner entrees most entrees came was from frozen and had no taste.

3mins to the beach, good value for money. Great staff, high cleanliness standards and amazing variety of food for breakfast and dinner. Just 15min bus ride from the airport and bus stop to the city just a minute away from the hotel. Grocery stores few minutes away.

I would love to have tea and coffee facilities at the room.

Extremely good location, very close to Palma Beach and the bus stop to downtown Palma or the airport. Excellent and affordable breakfast buffet with attentive staff. Nice pools (indoor and outdoor).

One of our rooms was extremely hot. We reported to the front desk, who shrugged it off, explaining that the A/C isn't working now since the outdoor temperature is mild. This made little sense, as the other room (we booked 2) had perfectly functional air conditioning.

Only about 5 minutes from the beach.

Rich buffet breakfast and dinner, good choice. Smiling and helpful hotel staff. Each evening different music programme.
