Nearby attractions: - Morrow Mountain State Park - Carolina Treetop Challenge is a self-guided adventure climbing experience consisting of a variety of challenging treetop courses. - Wineries: Stony Mountain Vineyards & Winery, Uwharrie Vineyards & Winery, Dennis Vineyards Winery, and Rocky River Vineyards - Golf: Piney Point Golf Club, Red Bridge Golf Club, The Tillery Tradition Country Club and Old North State Club are all in Stanley County. Lakeside Retreat is an hour from Pinehurst. - Museums: Badin Museum, Stanly County Museum, Historic Marks House, Historic Snuggs House, and Morrow Mountain Natural History Museum - Badin Road Drive-In Theater - Clay Shooting at Juneberry Ridge - Pan for Gold at Mountain Creek Gold Mine just minutes away or visit the Reed Gold Mine where the first gold in America was discovered. Reed Gold Mine is about 40 minutes from the cottage. - Historic downtown Badin has an adorable coffee shop, antique stores, and the best hibachi chicken at Tho's! Loafers and Legends is a local private club that you can try out during your stay on a weekend. They have live music and karaoke on Friday nights!

Comfy & Cozy little lake cottage. Small but just right for a couple or family of 4. The beds are super comfy. Only thing with the main bedroom that we would change would be adding a window unit ac in there, if you close the bedroom door it gets very stuffy in there. The ramp is steep that goes down to the lake but there are hand rails and rubber gripping for safety all the way down the ramp. We loved the firepit and we would definitely stay here again! Thank you for sharing your home!

Great place to stay. This is not Badin Lake and you cannot get to it on your boat. You can pull your boat out and drive it to Badin the boat ramp is really close. The boat access for Palmerville lake is shallow and has a few deep holes for your tires. Can be tricky to get your boat in and out. You will need to back your vehicle in all the way tires in water. Nevertheless the home is great. Comfortably held our family of four. The dock for the boat was great and swimming was wonderful. The lake is good for tubing not really big enough for skiing. Felt very safe with our small children. Quiet nice family retreat without any crowds. Would recommend for a family retreat.

Very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked. Just minutes to Morrow State Park. I didn't use the house dock but it looked fairly new/remodeled, as did the entire house. I would definitely stay here again.

Small lake house perfect for a weekend getaway! Lovely bathroom recently renovated. Property owners are wonderful. My only suggestion is to make sure you wear sneakers on the ramp to the dock because it’s steep.
