We want to ensure that it is top-notch and ready for you before your stay and need to confirm readiness before booking your reservation. Not to fear...We make every effort to quickly respond to your request and accommodate your dates if we are able. Set in the lush, tree-top woods just above the quaint town of Highlands, North Carolina, Satulah Ridge is the quintessential "cozy log cabin". Snuggle in for a fall or winter day with a crackling fire (we provide the firewood :) and a Netflix binge or take in a summer mountain breeze and bird symphony on the screened porch. Don't forget your book and a cool beverage! No matter the time of year, Highlands, NC is a great getaway, made even more special with a well-appointed and comfortable place to relax and unwind. The cabin is a short (and safe) 10-minute walk to town, just past and above Harris Lake (an easy walk to Harris Lake, Sunset Rock, The Highlands Biological Station, Mountain Fresh and all of downtown Highlands). Want to drive down?...it's just 2 minutes! Your hosts have taken every effort to provide a "home away from home" with all the necessities you may need for a weekend respite or an extended stay. The kitchen is stocked for cooking (pot of chili anyone?!), catch up on deep sleep in the cozy beds with comfy linens, lots of towels & toiletries + added perks of staple goods for cooking, various waters, beverages, coffee, and bar accouterments. The living room sofa pulls out making the perfect "pit" to take in movies or sports if you're staying in. Whether it's shopping or dining in town or an excursion to one of the many hikes or waterfalls in the area, the cabin is conveniently located close to everything Highlands! What a beautiful property! The hosts went out of their way to make it feel like we were staying with a really good friend. The kitchen was perfectly stocked and every detail was taken care of. Look forward to going back.

My husband and I stayed here with our 9 and 11 year old. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. They thought of everything. We appreciated the coffee, snacks and half and half already in the kitchen. The cabin is decorated so cute. Would love to stay again in a different season so we can take advantage of the lovely porch.

This little cabin was perfect for our family of three. The owner provides everything you need. The sofa "pit" was the perfect place to watch movies and hang out and could easily sleep two teens if needed. Will definitely return!

This classic mountain cabin is furnished with every thoughtful touch you can imagine, from the stack of firewood by the door to the cotton quilts on the beds. So many short term rentals are like model apartments decorated by sales agents; this one is like your cool aunt’s place in the mountains, with homey touches everywhere you look and a fridge stocked with all you need to get started settling in.

We had a wonderful long weekend at this charming cabin. Beautifully decorated and well equipped it was everything we could have asked for to enjoy a relaxing cabin. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer!

Beautiful cabin, high on a ridge, close to town. Beautifully decorated. Lots of amenities. Kitchen was especially well stocked. Great selection of spices, vinegars, oils and snacks! Loved the wood burning fireplace. Great screened in porch running the whole length of the house. Peace and quiet. A beautiful cozy getaway!

I can't say enough nice things about this property, but I'll give it a shot. The place itself is beautiful. Clean, stocked, and comfy. The screened-in porch is awesome. Kendra was an incredible host, the check in/out process is super simple, and the communication was seamless. The location is perfect. A mile from downtown Highlands and a great base to explore all the hiking, biking, and waterfalls in the Highlands/Cashiers area. It's in a mountain neighborhood but it's super quiet and all the trees and brush provide tons of privacy. I can't wait to head back to Highlands and stay here. :-)

My friend and I decided to spend a few days in Highlands for our birthday. This cabin was perfect for us. The cabin was clean and very close to Highlands (such a cute town) where we spent most of our time. The kitchen was very well stocked and the beds were comfortable. Kendra was very accessible and informative during our stay. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us!

Our little family had a great stay at Kendra's cabin. It's conveniently located, fully appointed and charming! I miss dinners on the screened porch in the rain and coffee on the porch in the morning. Kendra has stocked the cabin with everything that you need and more! She was very responsive to pre-arrival inquiries and provided a ton of information to make our stay easy. Definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay! The place was so well stocked and truly such a special place to stay at for a longer weekend. Kendra was great at responding! We needed to extend our stay for 1 day at the last moment and she was super accommodating. The cabin was clean and super comfortable and close to downtown but nice to not be right down and enjoy the peace of the mountains. The porch was such a lovely place! Highly recommend this VRBO! We will try to stay here again in the future.

We had the best time staying here! Kendra has thought of everything to make our stay so comfortable. If we forgot something at home, it was there. She had extra TP, paper towels, soap, pods, shampoo, conditioner, coffee, condiments, spices, snacks, phone chargers, firewoood,etc..the list goes on. Her kitchen has everything you need to cook a full meal if you choose. The beds were super comfortable and perfect for a family of 4. The decor is ADORABLE!! It's a mix of antique and modern and feels very homey and luxurious at the same time. The proximity to downtown is minutes so extremely convenient to whatever you need. We highly recommend staying here, and we would love to come back ourselves sometime soon!

We loved our stay at this cozy little cabin! All of the attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable. The location was quiet and private and the screened porch was a lovely place to sit and enjoy the tree top view. Host was very responsive and helpful. We look forward to our next visit!
