Algonquin College tour - our way to see the dorms

Doing an algonquin tour, this was th3 best way to evaluate the dorms.

The fridge was VERY loud. Although none said anything at night, all 4 mentioned it in the morning.

Location, price and staff

Only one entrance, couldn’t walk to the stores without a 5-10 min walk in the opposite direction through the whole residence and courtyard, only to back track around the block. The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, I had to sleep on the cement floor for the last 2 hours of my sleep because the mattress was caving in and springs jabbing my back. There was nothing but a very thin blanket and a sheet in the bed. There was a kitchenette but no dishes so couldn’t use it. No TV in room

Great value for a spacious room

This is apartment style place with 2 spacious rooms for a great price in that area. Beds are good for 1 person each (1 bed per room). It is part of the university dorm - we stayed in June and were able to get sleep during the day without outside noise. Bonus - big bathroom. Very friendly reception desk staff, made an amazing fist impression of the place!

Shower stream is rather weak, washroom fan is a bit loud - but both are not too bad.

There were 2 rooms with a kitchen

I did not expect a college dorm room. The beds were uncomfortable and it was a.long walk from the parking lot to my room.

Nothing fancy but a good space for a family to stay while they are out exploring Ottawa.

Convenient location. Friendly staff. Had fun playing ping pong in the games room.

Layout of the residence was a significant issue. Only one door is used to enter and exit the building. Our room was across a large courtyard and then down three hallways from the entrance - too much for me as I have a knee issue. We are unlikely to go back unless I am assured that our room will be closer to the entrance

An amazing Experience

I really liked the property and the stay. You get the feeling of leaving amongst other students and how the Canadian On campus stay feels like. They have a really well managed rooms. I would love to stay again if got a chance

You get what you pay for; you don't get much here but it's cheap.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was good, central and easy to access. Room was as stated. It is not a hotel, but a hotel alternative. If you're here to sleep, it's pretty good.

Parking is not included. There is a parking fee. Internet is restricted, which interferes with work VPNs and voice services. There was blood on the floor in one of the hallways. It was not cleaned up for the duration of the stay. EV CHARGING NOT AVAILABLE AT HOTEL PARKING. The chargers are located in pay parking more than a 10m walk away. They are also not easily accessible or available to hotel guests, this hotel should not be allowed to advertise as EV friendly.

Pleasant

On the plus side, it was the cheapest 2 bedroom "apartment" in Ottawa and students at the check-in desk were very nice. I would say if you are only staying for one night and planning to eat out, it is fine but I would not not stay there longer.

We booked it through booking and it wasn't mentioned anywhere that it was a student dorm, so we were surprised when we got there. Because of that, rooms are very, very basic, there is no dishes and no cutlery in the kitchen.

Good place to stay if u go by car :)

Beds were comfortable, parking is available, but it costs 20 Canadian dollars, but if u go to check in before, you get a promo code. We had towels, shampoo & soap.

If u plan to do sightseeing the location is not really good, it’s around 1h by public transport from attractions. If u go by car, it’s really nice.

College dorm with 2 bedrooms and kitchen and bathroom.

The location was good. Staff was friendly.lots of shopping and restaurants. Busstop nearby. There was 2 bedrooms so privacy was good and a kitchen table and fridge and microwave. If you wanted to cook, there is a kitchen. The room was nuce and cool with air-conditioning.

There was a lot of walking to find room. The parking was not included. We had to pay through app everyday. No t.v. Linen very thin and rough. Saw silverfish in bathroom. The room was clean but rundown. There was a movie room with popcorn on floor everywhere and batteries removed from remote. The water pressure in shower not good. Paint off of door and coat rack. Lampshade was bad. Very pricey for what was included.

It was a good place! Enough to sleep.

The reception staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were quite comfortable. And the shampoos and creams provided were nice!

The door was hard to find and its a bit outside of Ottawa, but if you have a car its fine. Also, its a bit strange that the kitchen includes a fridge and microwave but they don't provide cutlery or dishes.

Price is cheap, close to the shopping center.

No TV in the room. The heater does not work and the blanket is thin. It is cold in the morning.

The room was clean but only had a blanket no quilt.Felt cold in deepnight.The air conditioner didn't work well. Had to cross a very long corridor dragging the luggages to reach the room.you maybe lose the way. Charged $21 parking fee.They said there was discount with inputting the promotion code but not.

Shabby. Terrible bed linens. Towels were the quality of rags. I do not say this lightly.

Great value for the room, loacation and family.

The rooms are spacious. The location is very convenient for us. It is close to Costco, T&T and Commissioners Park and Parliament Hill. The access to the parking lot is a bit far. If you have lots luggage then it is a bit of work.

The WIFI is not secure and there is no secure WIFI for guests. This is the only issue for us.
