Our stay was very comfortable, the room was clean.

The only thing I saw that needed work was there was no shower head in the shower.

Our second stay - years later. And remain very pleased with the quality of this older motel. The inclusion of free use of kayaks and water equipment at this lakeside property makes it an A+!

No longer provide a free breakfast - but the kayaks and water views more than compensate.

A very average place with above average pricing

A slightly spiffed up old motel promoting a queen suite … with a squeaky double bed and tired amenities. A total disconnect from the hefty price tag

Lodging at Gautiers helped make celebrating Independence Day in the Adirondack park enjoyable.

It was very nice to have destination charging the an EV. Unlimited free use of canoes and kayaks made recreating easy. The staff were surprsingly friendly and helpful.

Internet was down during our visit. We needed to disconnect anyway.

Charming, well priced lakefront motel in modest Saranac, very near the tonier Lake Placid,

Modest but charming lakefront inn. Great way to not spend too much, but without making too many compromises. Room wasn't fancy but not depressing either. A happy place. Splurge and have a meal at the Whiteface Lodge, feel like you got away with a deal.

Rustic lake property

Everything else!! Friendly staff and owners. Located right on the water. Free use of boats, bikes etc.

No view from our window. Brush pile. The toilet was wobbly.

The view of the lake is the only selling point of this place.

The location was beautiful because it was on the lake.

For a room that cost 200 dollars for one night, the bathroom could ve in better conditions. Not only was the bathtub and walls rusted, it didn't look clean and we killed like 4 spiders above our beds. The beds were a bit wonky as well as in they moved a ton. This price needs to decrease if this is the comfort of the room.

Serene and idea location.

The location was beautiful and right down the road from the half marathon. Ideal location. Very peaceful on the water. The room was clean. The carpet may need a cleaning or a replacement. The staff was friendly and professional. I was not bothered. I was advised if I needed anything to contact the front desk.

The staff was very helpful with all our questions about the area. The use of the canoes and kayaks were a plus.

The room could have been neater and cleaner. Had to look for something under the bed and it was pretty grungy underneath. In terms of comfort, a few small improvements could be made: 1.) The shower curtain was not long enough and the force of the water from the shower blew the shower curtain away so that the water came out on the bathroom floor. 2.) There could be a rack in the shower to hold the soap and shampoo, instead we had to put it on the window sill outside of the shower which was messy. 3.) The mini refrigerator and microwave could be placed on a table or stand instead of on the floor so that one does not have to bend down so far to get into the refrigerator / microwave or see the dial on the microwave.

The check in process was seamless and the room is very clean. I like the personal touch of the thank you card as well.

Not coming back.

Granddaughter liked the pool.

Uncomfortable, squeaky beds, no microwave, tiny refrigerator. Coffee pot made only 1/2 cup. Noisy location. Treacherous exterior walkways.

We loves our room. The view from the patio was fabulous. My husband used the canoe every morning to fish, and it was so convenient to be able to just get up and go, without having to check them out.

It would have been nice to have a little table on the balcony. That way we could have somewhere to put our wine glasses and snacks on.
