Google gave it 9.7 from couples and It was a block from the beach so we booked it last minute without really looking at every picture. Big mistake. It's not a hotel, it's more like a rooming house. They clearly are playing with the reviews because even the 7+ on booking is not possible.
Google gave it 9.7 from couples and It was a block from the beach so we booked it last minute without really looking at every picture. Big mistake. It's not a hotel, it's more like a rooming house. They clearly are playing with the reviews because even the 7+ on booking is not possible. It was very uncomfortable in every way. Everything was so small they had to have nothing in room but 2 beds, that sank on sides. Nothing to put phone, alarm clock, water on. Bathroom was so small literally had to stand sideways to do anything and was too small to fit shower, so was across room with a plastic curtain. No shampoo. No where to put anything so towels were outside in kitchen. Cheap aluminum blinds did nothing to block the light coming right in onto bed. The ice trays in freezer had black dirt or mold in it and there was a roach under the sink. It was just horrendous. We booked last minute and got there after 1am, there was a clear vacancy sign. In the morning, before checkout,we said we couldn't stay there, it was not acceptable and she refused to give us our money back. I don't think I should have to pay for a place that is not acceptable. We didn't book a bunch of places and back out last minute which is unfair to the proprietor. We booked in good faith but the accommodations were not acceptable and we didn't stop her from renting room as there were vacancies. I've contacted Booking.com on 3 occasions and have gotten no response. I travel a lot, use booking frequently, but I won't if this is their customer service. No response. Very upset and disappointed as they've been great until now.

The location was perfect for getting to the boardwalk & the beach, outdoor showers with privacy doors for sand removal. A window A/C unit was available for climate control. I had a small fridge with a freezer compartment-was all I needed. There is also a coffee maker & microwave. I had a private bathroom, a bed, a couch, night stand, a dresser & a few shelves with an area to hang clothes. Perfect for me. It was right next to Atlantic Ave., easy walking access to ATM's, restaurants, bars, liquor store and over Labor Day week-end Thursday-Tuesday every year is a Shidoobee with Stones Doug event takes place in the Beach Terrace Hotel just a quick 1 minute walk. Karaoke Thurs, Stones tribute bands Fri & Sat nights, Sunday sing-a-long by the pool (3rd fl). Very quiet and a parking pass for parking in a garage nearby.

Parking was far from the motel. Staff kept watching over us. We were over 25 and didn’t even have one drink on our vacation but the staff just kept stalking us all day and night. I put a bag in my car on the first day we got there and they already asked if I was leaving. No I was going to the beach. If I could give 0 rating I would!

The only redeeming quailty of this place is its location.
The room was extremely dirty, rude staff, ridiculous rules, no soap or amenities, parking is in a garage across the street right next to the boardwalk. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The website is extremely misleading.
There was poop on the walls of the bathroom, my girlfriend and I decided to buy sheets and pillows because of all of the stains and hairs on the bed.. we even wore sandals in the shower. I bought disinfectant wipes to clean as much as possible because they would not refund us.

No Pool No Parking Lot and seemed Annoyed When We Asked For Toilet Paper & Towels

3 minutes walk to the beach, I could see the fireworks from the balcony. Close enough to anything that is in walking distance. Friendly staff and easily approachable for any needs or wants.
The water could be a little hotter, for the shower, but I prefer hot showers.

It’s right off the boardwalk, so that’s a plus.
No housekeeping. Rooms are very small. Fridge did not get cold. Front desk is rude. Checking in took 27 minutes. Parking was under the boardwalk, very crowded and we were told to just pull in and make our own parking since we would be staying for a few days.

Room bigger than a clown car would of been nice

The location is great. Right off the boardwalk and near a few great restaurants. There are outside showers and a hose that came in handy too.
The hotel description says one parking spot available at hotel. But there is only on long skinny driveway to put your car in, where either you will be parking someone in, or someone will be parking you in. You have to go down to the front desk during business hours and let them know if you're planning on leaving and what time so they can call the other people and come have them move their car. As well as them calling you to move your car for other guests. The website does not explain the horrible parking situation. We ended up having to park in the free street parking about 4 blocks away, as we like to drive around to difference places and didn't want to be at the mercy of the other guests.

Easy access to boardwalk
All the rules they didn’t include in the listing. No alcohol. Tv off by 12am. Didn’t get extra towels. Showers were ice cold unless you used the outside showers. No parking at hotel. Had to park about a block away in a parking garage. No elevator. Had to lug stuff to the 3rd floor.

The location was good
The staff was rude. Also I was told there would be parking in a lot across the street but when I got there I had to park in this little drive way and had my car blocked in then when I had to move my car the owner called me and was rude telling me I had to move my car for someone else then she was not nice and very rude telling me I can’t block her drive way when she told me to park there

The location was the ONLY good thing about this place
Oh where to even begin… First, it was kinda off putting that the office said closed when we got there even though there was a lit up open sign. We had to ring a door bell twice in order to get someone. The parking was absolutely terrible. We were told to park in this single lane drive way and that if someone needed to move their car that they would call us. Ummmm yeah no thanks. We were there for the country music festival and weren’t going to be available to move our car. We ended up paying for parking in the lot across the street. The room itself was not very clean. There was a piece of jewelry on the floor that the previous guest must have left. The air conditioner looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in 10 years. So much dust. The bathroom was the worst. There was absolutely no room the walk and you couldn’t even sit on the toilet without hitting your knees on the sink. The biggest disappointment was the shower though. There was no hot water. Absolutely NONE. We tried several times and waited for it to heat up but it never did. The beds were awful. Rock hard and the blanket felt like plastic. It was such an uncomfortable stay.

Location was great, and one block from the boardwalk. It was clean and had a mini fridge and coffee maker.
The room was so small for three people, and the bathroom was so small I couldn’t turn around without smacking my arms on the door or wall. I’m not an overweight person but if someone booked that was they would have a tough time in this room. The beds were rough and it felt like we slept on the floor, some of us actually did instead. The AC also wasn’t blowing cold and may need to be repaired or attended too. It was a last minute booking for summer on the Jersey shore but if I had known I would of splurged the extra 20 a night for something I felt more comfortable in with my friends.
