Good location, facilities could be improved

Perfect location right next to Place de la Bourse, which made up for some of the drawbacks. The host was responsive and sorted out initial problem with the electrical lock in the following day.

The property could do with some modernisation & upgrade. Strong damp especially in the basement; very small shower cubicle and kitchen space; fan not standing properly so could not be used; most sockets are loose and had to be very careful when using them; one side of mattress sinks.

Bordeaux reunion with friends and colleagues

Location is fantastic, restaurants, history and many other things to see and do right on the doorstep. Communication with the owner was extremely good and quick.

Really quirky, lovely apartment in the centre of Bordeaux, where we had a great time

the location was fabulous, just round the corned from the Place de la Bourse, loads of restaurants and bars within easy reach and only 10 mins to most places you will want to go . Flat had everything you needed for a short stay, it is very small, but had a little hanging space and chest of drawers . All kitchen equipment to make a meal- though why would you. reasonably quiet as well , though some traffic inevitable the owner responded quite quickly to out texts. he also gave us good directions from the airport , via tram to the property, which we already knew , but it was a nice touch.

I didn't get any information about getting into the property until literally the morning we were going, which I personally found stressful. I actually rang them up to make sure that it was all ok, and they said info would be sent 24 hours before. I would have preferred this info a few days in advance. There was a smell of drains, the owner said it was from outside, so not a lot you could do about it. If you opened the window it did go away quite quickly. The windows were overlooked but others, so you needed to draw the curtains to change etc. - again to be expected in a town centre and worth the hassle to be there.

Exceptional

Excellent apartment very central. Well appointed. Close to everything. Had everything you would need. .liked the way bedroom was downsatirs was quiet.flat situated in quiet street just off main area. Easy to walk to everything . Bakery around corner and aldi ten minutes walk away Spotless. Laurence great to communicate with. Enjoyed our stay.

Passable

Location was good but the apartment was disappointing. The kitchen was shabby and the bathroom smelled.The address that was advertised was incorrect but the host wasn't very apologetic. I would not recommend this property

Terrible odour in the bathroom, shabby mismatched furniture. The bedroom was downstairs in the basement and accessed by a narrow flight of stairs that made it impossible to take our suitcases down. There was a ensuite toilet but no wash basin!Overall this was not a pleasant place to stay.

Great location, decent apartment.

It’s in a very good location, lots of great places to eat and drink near by, the tram stops are pretty close and the small kitchen is sufficient to cook a meal. The entire apartment was a decent size, lots of space for 2 to spread out.

Not enough toilet paper, we had to buys some rolls ourselves. The building is old so the bathroom had a damp smell.

Most enjoyable stay in Bordeaux

Very central location close to everything, shops bars, restaurants only a minute away. lovely apartment and very quirky with stone steps leading down to bedroom from living room/kitchen. Everything supplied that you could need and Laurence our host very quick to answer questions or queries. I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this apartment and it I couldn’t have made a better choice for our first time in Bordeaux. Would highly recommend and will stay here again whenever we get to return.

Perfect location close to attractions and restaurants

We could not have asked for a better location! It is right by the water mirror and plenty of restaurants and shops close by. Our 5 year old loved to sleep on the mezzanine floor in the Gabriel apartment

Check-in is quite late at 16:00 and there was no room to leave our luggage while we waited for check-in. The owner recommended Nannybag though and there was a bag storage point very close to the apartment.

The location is fabulous, and facilities good enough for 2 people..

It wasn’t terribly clean in the bathroom,and kitchen area. Bed was fine though

Disappointing apartment

Location was very good. Close to lots of bars, restaurants and a short walk to the main areas of Bordeaux.

Apartment wasn't clean. Fridge had remnants of food still in it and hairs. Floors were dusty and dirty. Terrible fusty smell in the downstairs bedroom (which was below ground level so possibly a cellar in its former life). Toilet downstairs but didn't entertain using it as toilet paper had to be placed in the bin beside it! Also felt damp everywhere. Had a dehumidifier running constantly when we were in the apartment Towels had a fusty damp smell. Plaster falling from the wall by the front door. Dubious looking stains all over the sofabed which were hidden by a throw. Bedding consisted of a badly fitting worn sheet, a very flat cushion and a single duvet.

Very poor

The position is good but not relevant due to the bad conditions of the flat.

The whole flat smelt like mold, and was not clean. The sofa was small and full of stains. It was so unhealthy that we had to leave the place after the first night and find another accomodation.

overall a lovely stay in the centre of the city…we will return..possible the upstairs apartment rather than street level

the location was unbelievably as you are right in the middle of Bordeaux. easy to walk to most placed in the city. well equipped kitchen

drain smell in the bathroom which didn’t go away. not totally clean in bathroom and stairs.noise from children upstairs, felt they were dancing on your head. lack of electrical sockets in the kitchen.

Excellent location, down town placed. Main tram lines (station Place de la Bource - line C or D) are only 2 mins distance on foot from the apartment. The owner Laurence was super kind. Best stay ever! Waiting to come back soon <3

The height of the second bed was far to high, which meant we had to share a bed!!

Recommended -great location in historic centre. Near tram and river.

Location superb. After a little initial difficulty, the friendly host greeted us. We left our bags and returned later after cleaning. Quiet apartment. Basic cooking facilities. Carrefour nearby.

Couldn't make TV work - but not a great problem.

Just what we needed.

Fantastic location, great gem of an apartment , had everything you need Very good value for money. Super place to stay in Bordeaux.

There was nothing not to like. All was good. I did not book it for a longer stay.

Exceptional

Everything was perfect. Laurence went above and beyond letting us keep the luggage in the apartment beyond check out, as our flight was late evening. Everything about the apartment was superb, contributing to a perfect holiday. Kind regards.

Fascinating, beautiful place, peaceful apartment was home from home in a fantastic location

Lovely quirky duplex apartment in the heart of the old town. 50m walk to the riverfront. The host met us with the key and told us about the history of the building which was fascinating, really helpful and insisted that he didn't mind being contacted if there were any problems which there weren't! The apartment was spacious and quiet, well equipped although no TV. There are numerous cafes and restaurants nearby, and the city has beautiful architecture with a vibrant cafe culture. Lots of places to see. Bakery around the corner was great although not open on Sundays, however we found an artisan food market on the riverfront on Sunday which was lovely, bread and cake stalls, cooked chicken, fresh meat and fish etc. Eating out in Bordeaux is expensive by UK standards, for some reason beer is particularly pricey, but the quality of what we ate was great.

Wasn't really anything to fault it, we had a great weekend, could have done with a couple more days.

Perfect location, walking distance from every important place in the city. The host is very helpfull and we've recieved all instructions on the self check-in. All you need you'll have in the appartment.
