The restaurant has the best view

Room really dirty, sheets horrible, no toilet paper neither towels and NO PARKING!!!!

Great location and good price but very run down.

Location is great - so close to the Taj Mahal!

Very run down, bathroom was dingy and covered in flies and the room was freezing cold.

Le propriétaire devrait rénover pour que les chambres soient bien ventilées afin d’éviter l’humidité et les moisissures dans la chambre

Dirty, broken AC, scammers who try to overcharge - avoid!

The proximity to the Taj

We arrived and it took over 1 hour to complete check-in, it was such a slow process. Only 1 room was then ready and no extra beds as per messages directly to the hotel booking them. After another hour the 2nd room was ready but upon inspection the bedding was filthy. The 1st room the AC didn’t work. Went to complain and was told to leave or pay more money! They already overcharged us. We arrived at 5pm, took until 11pm to get beds for the children. We had to call our tour guide to come and help.

The location is very good and the staff very helpful and welcoming.

There was no comfort, the equipments are really old and the room wasn't clean at all.

Very nice hotel, staff very helpful and knowledgeable. View from the terrace of the Taj Mahal. Delicious food in the restaurant. The cook looks after the guests personally, fulfills every wish. He is extremely friendly and VERY HELPFUL!!! It cooks great!!! He noticed that I hadn't eaten one ingredient from the dish I had ordered. He asked why - I replied that I thought it would be something completely different. As compensation, I received another dish. It was great behavior by the cook. He assisted us during breakfast, fulfilling every request. I hope he will work in this hotel for a long time!

Proximity to Taj Mahal, friendly staff, owner was also very kind to cater to our requests

The wifi signal in the room was not so good. It did not really make a huge impact during our stay though.

View on Taj Mahal from the hotel rooftop is spectacular!!! You can have a breakfast with Taj Mahal - cant be better 😊 Amazing stuff is working there, so friendly and helpful. Bobby was so amazing, always smiling and making sure we are doing good. Such a good person! You will feel there very welcome. The restaurant is serving delicious food - tikka masala and butter masala was the best we had in India! Also they are doing very tasty masala chai, you need to try it. Higly recomended to stay at Saniya Palace 🙏

Excellent location, great staff

View from the roof terrace is incredible. The rooms are a little basic, but clean. The staff were fantastic. You can easily walk to the Taj Mahal east gate in about 5-10 minutes.

The alley the hotel is on isn't great- poor drainage means the alley can smell a bit funky which is off-putting when you first arrive!

Totally recommend, staff lovely, location great, views great.

The location is wonderful - just 3 minute walk from the East Gate of the Taj Mahal. The views from the plant-bordered roof terrace are sublime and the food from the restaurant is tasty. The best part is the staff, who are sweet and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

The hotel is a bit run down, nothing fancy. Room could maybe do with some TLC, as there was a broken light, the fan was a bit loose etc. However all in all, would totally recommend.

The Taj is a must see once in your lifetime and the hotel staff will make your stay very comfortable

The hotel is perfectly located for a trip to the Taj Mahal. The staff we all very friendly and especially Bobby and KK Yahdub. Overall I don't think booking .com review format allows for the traveller to express their true experience. We felt safe and well looked after by the staff members at this hotel. We left feeling very good about visiting agra and we feel the staff at the hotel contributed to a majority of our well being

Unfortunately we cannot comment on the rooftop garden as the G20 protocol would not allow the hotel to open the rooftop. But as stated this hotel is perfectly situated to the Taj and the rooftop has a lovely rooftop resteraunt with clear views of the Taj.

DO NOT BOOK. The nice view is not worth the dirty stay!

The only good thing was the view but do not book this dirty place only for the view.. The price of the hotel is not an excuse for unhygienic place.

It was not clean. We believe the blanket haven’t been washed ever. No warm water (and it is freezing January). The staff were not professional, we experienced several inconveniences: a) as some of staff members were sleeping deeply on sofas outside our room, they were unable to wake up on their alarm, however, their alarm woke up us in rooms, so I went out to wake him up to turn it off but even after shaking his body he continued sleeping! It was very unpleasant experience! b) the second night we could not fall asleep as children were playing loudly in the lobby and even after I left my bed in a try to tell them to shut up, they did not listen and another staff member told us that these children are managers children so we can do nothing about it. That was very disrespectful to say to paying guests.

Agra is the worst of India - narrow streets full of roaming animals, and honking tuk tuks. But, you're there for the Taj Mahal, which on a clear day (which we did not have) you can see the from the roof of this hotel. What more do you want for $9 a night?

After showing concern they gave us different rooms

Our booking were confirmed however when we reached around 7pm our 2 out of 3 rooms were not available. They kept us waiting for couple of hours. When we raised concern, main staff member asked us to take the money and leave. At 9.30pm they are expecting family with kids to roam around in winter for hotel. How bad behaviour is this. Also, rooms condition is very bad. Very small bathroom that you can't manage. All taps are old and leaking.

Worst hotel, overcharged food and stay

Only positive is the rooftop restaurant where Tajmahal can be seen from all the time.

Room was very small for a family. Hot water service was too bad. Water supply to the room stops and need to tell the hotel staff to run the pump. No help from hotel staffs to carry our luggage downstairs when we check out. This was worst stay.

The staff are exceptional!!! The food is exceptional!!! And the view you cannot beat. Perfect location as it is a 2 minute walk to the Taj Mahal.

I hate to leave a bad review as all the things we liked were absolutely AMAZING, however... it was a rough night sleeping. The room is really outdated and very unclean, we even asked for a spare blanket which they so kindly and quickly brought for us but inside the folded blanket was a woman's used period pad, by the time we found it it was late and we needed to sleep (6am train). The inside pillows are covered in mould and I awoke to my face swelling with Mosquito bites all over my face as there were so many in the room. The bathroom is tiny which is okay but with the toliet seat unattached, it made it difficult for I ( a woman) to go to the toliet comfotably(which, wouldnt be an issue if this was the only problem) Lastly, the downfall of being so close to the Taj is that the noise level on the streets. We have slept in many places across the world on a very tight budget and we know we are in India but with such thin walls, even my ear plugs couldn't drown out the sound. I don't recommend this place if you need a proper night's sleep otherwise it is a super Bang for your Dollar!!!

very friendly staff, perfect location for an early visit to the Taj Mahal (Eastern Gate), very tasty local breakfast with a nice view from the rooftop

outside our room it was very noisy because of other guests
