Two years ago my girlfriend and I vacationed at this location. We loved every aspect of it from this home to the culture of the area. Just recently I decided that this is where I wanted to propose to her. After speaking with the owner of the home we booked our trip. I knew this would be the perfect weekend (despite hurricane Ophelia trying to stop that) because we feel at home in Chincoteague, especially in this house. Everything is perfect here. I’ve never felt more at home away from home before. I highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Chincoteague area to give this place a try. 10/10 will going again.

House is well kept. Everything was there as stated. Kids enjoyed large patio and yard. Was very nice the owner called to check on us and was interested in who was renting. Would stay again.

Home away from home
We were delighted with the homey, cozy feel of the property. Lots of kitchen supplies and gadgets for us cooks. Beds super comfy. Screened in porch was nice. No issues at all. We would stay here again.

Ehh
The location is very convenient. There was a nice gift of toiletries in the bathroom. It’s bigger than a hotel, so family can stay together. That’s the plus. Make sure to bring your own blankets as well as sheets. The only blankets are very old, worn, and not laundered bed spreads. No pillows provided. The cable has 13 channels. There is a Roku downstairs if you want to enter your information. There is a Roku in the master bedroom but it was not hooked up to the tv and there was no remote control. You will have to drive your trash to a trash facility across town at the end of your stay. It may or may not be open. (It wasn’t when we left). The worst part was the ants. The place was CRAWLING in ants. The were everywhere. You could not cook because within 3 minutes ants were in your food. They were on the table within minutes if you got take out as well. They weee in the dishwasher. The only safe place for anything was in the refrigerator. I called the landlord and she said to put more ant traps out. There were already half a dozen out in the kitchen. We had to call the landlord for the Wi-Fi password. Charged a cleaning fee but left a long list of to do cleaning that had to be completed before leaving,. Gave the impression that it was not cleaned between guests.

Perfect Vacation
Excellent location - great walking distance to Mr. Baldy's and Memorial Park. Short drive to the beautiful beach, shops and restaurants and hiking/trail areas. Adrienne is very responsive if any issues happen to arise with the townhome. Our first day we could not locate the password for the Wi-Fi and when I sent her an email inquiring she immediately called us back and also sent an email and text communication to ensure we were all set! The townhome is beautifully updated with new flooring and countertops and was perfectly cleaned and ready for us. Will definitely be back next year! Thank you for a perfect vacation!

We arrived late due to flight delays. The AC was not working. There was a terrible odor due to a pile of full trash bags near the outdoor stairway. There was reddish juice in the bottom of the fridge, probably from meat. The bathroom upstairs, sink and toilet were filthy. There was a pair of swim trunks behind the door in the master b.r., water bottle, snack wrappers, other trash items in other b.r.Next a.m. after we called the owner she got someone to fix the AC. It was totally frozen up and the filter was coated in dust. I sent a more complete report to Evolve

It is very outdated and only a limited view of the water and a few TV stations but, you're here to enjoy the island so it is a good price for a simple place to sleep and eat.

Oyster Fest weekend 2018
Disappointed in a few things. No cable channels available and no wifi. Hard to believe in this day and age. The picture of the view is misleading. It show a pier but there is a "No Trespassing" sign on the fence so no access to the pier. Accommodations were well worn but comfortable. Being able to walk to Mr. Baldy's was nice. And a short drive to the Tom's Cove campground for the Oyster Festival was convenient. We spent our evenings on the fenced in decks on the comfortable outdoor furniture. Very nice.

Great time at Chincoteague Property #86337
We had a great experience. The house was roomy with plenty of space to hang towels, boogie boards, and bathing suits outside....a great thing when you have kids (: The neighborhood was very quiet, and a 5 minute drive to shops and restaurants. The beach was awesome and convenient. I would recommend this property to adult getaways as well as family vacations.

Comfortable, clean home for short and extended visits.
We spent near a month at Misty View, and due to the weather we did have some quite misty views. However our stay at the house was quite comfortable. Everything we needed to set up housekeeping was available and in good shape, from washer/dryer to pots/pans. The multiple TV's had cable connections and the only missing element was a lack of wifi (which can be gotten at the beautiful public library or McDonalds). The ATT phone/data connection was fine from the house. We cooked most of our meals and it was great to have the necessary equipment including small appliances. The two decks, downstairs great for eating, upstairs for lounging, had views of the marsh/water which was quite nice. The furniture (unlike one place we rented in Chincoteague years ago) was perfect for families with children.
The town and surrounding homes were pretty quiet given it was May but that made it easier to get around (and few bugs!). The park is a pretty quick drive from the house so you can go back and forth if needed multiple times during the day.
We've rented a good number of homes during the last five years, and this one ranks high in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The owner Adrienne answered our questions quickly and was very helpful.
Chincoteague doesn't have a lot to do unless your into beaches and wildlife (bird) viewing, but for us who are, it provides a relaxing place to enjoy nature.

House was well equipped and clean. Had a homey feeling not a "rental house " feel. Great location.
As stated before, homey, not "rental " feel. Well equipped, great location and clean. Would highly recommend to other families. The island is so relaxing. Will definitely be coming back.

Great place for a small family
The house is perfect size for a small group or family. It was incredibly cozy and nicely situated with a water view and screened in porch. The owner was easy to work with and very nice. I would definitely renot this property again if going down with just a few people. We had a great time!

So nice and relaxing
This was the nicest rental. The house was very well equipped. I felt right at home there. My kids loved it. They played games, did puzzles and had a good time without their electronics for once! We all had a great time and didn't want to leave. The owner was very pleasant to deal with, I would highly reccomend this to everyone. We will definitely look to future bookings of this property :)

Peaceful and quiet.
We were looking for a reasonably priced, not too fancy place where we would be able to cook local seafood and ride our bikes to the beach - this is it! As an added plus, we can fish from the nearby Memorial Park docks. Everyone around us is super friendly and happy. There was a slightly rowdy party one night but it ended early - and our stay overlapped with the July 4th weekend so it seemed unreasonable to not expect a little wild American revelry. The lower deck has a screened in porch, dining-sized table and a grill that is perfect for dinners and the upper deck has a small table with a couple chairs so you can enjoy the view over a cocktail after a tough day at the beach. As other reviewers have noted, the place is stocked with many extras, coffee pot, microwave, tv, outdoor shower, etc, and it feels well-loved. The place seems perfect for a couple, 2 couples or even 2 couples with a few kids. There are 2 bedrooms and lots of sleeping space, a full bath upstairs and a half down. Chincoteague in general is the perfect place to visit if you are looking for a nice, quiet, and slightly off-the-beaten-track trip to the ocean.

Family of three with a 5 yo
As advertized, the home was quite comfortable and well equipt. It was very clean. There are games and puzzles for rainy days. The outdoor shower is wonderful.
One piece of advise would be to arrive for the first time in day light if possible. The property sits back off the road, and the house numbers on the house could not be seen from the road. Fourtunately we had a flashlight. My husband had to walk around a bit to find the correct house. We also couldn't see the house numbers on the fence marking the "driveway".Once we confirmed the house,we finally just drove right up on the lawn. I think there was a driveway, but it is covered in grass now and hard to see.

Did not want to leave
All was more than expected. The house had all the room we expected, the scene over the marsh was beautiful, in particular the sunrises. The house was equipped with lots of extras we did not use - nothing was lacking. We called the landlord a couple of time and they were most responsive. Even though not part of the deal, we could find strong enough un-protected internet connection - but a little slow - but then who needs fast among the natural settings of nature. Highly recommend.

Summer 2010
My family really enjoyed staying in Chicoteague at this property. We felt at home. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of extras that I didn't expect. There is some wear and tear evident, but everything was clean and comfortable. The location is great with a view of the bay from the deck. The only problem that we had was that it took over a month for the security deposit to be returned. I would recommend this property to others with a family who would like to enjoy a relaxing vacation. We hope to return again.
