My friends and rented this place for the 4th of July weekend. The place was centrally located within Madeira Beach with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The condo was well decorated and had all the amenities we needed. Zero complaints and I would definitely stay here again on the future.

For the price, this place was great. It was clean, beds were comfortable and the host was responsive to issues.
The neighborhood was ok. There were quite a few times we had dogs barking loudly late at night and the traffic noise was a little loud at times as well.
The proximity to the public beach access and John's Pass were great and a big part of why I chose this location.

We enjoyed our stay at this Maderia Beach cottage. The property is across the road from the public beach access and within walking distance of many stores, restaurants, and coffee places. John's Pass was about a 25 minute walk. Our only complaint would be the lack of basic necessities, which I read about from other reviews. A few more rolls of TP, paper towels, and some hand soap in the kitchen would have been appreciated.

Check in was very easy. House was plenty spacious enough for the 2 of us. Very clean other than the sofa could use a shampooing. Chairs were not very comfortable. Beds seemed to be new and were comfortable. Plenty of space to keep our clothes stored away. Kitchen was plenty large enough for preparing food. Dishwasher does not work all that great so we hand washed dishes. There were enough dishes and cooking utensils but food prep knives were not very sharp. It was nice to have the washer and dryer in the large bathroom. Shower is quite small but was very clean. The parking lot next to the house had noise occasionally but honestly was not a problem. It never bothered us. There is a lot of activity on the street but also was never a problem.
Beach is just as close as mentioned in listing. Street is very easy to cross at cross walk. You do not have to wait more than a few seconds for traffic to stop. It’s a little over a mile to walk to John’s pass which we did multiple times in our 4 week stay. There are many restaurants close by to walk to. We thoroughly enjoyed our lengthy stay and we’re sad to leave. We would stay again.

We lucked out to find this listing for our short couples trip. Never been to the area before but found it conveniently located by the beach, good restaurants, and a bus stop pickup. Walking distance to John’s Pass but the trolley option is nice. Would go back!

Not disappointed
We thought it was right on the beach so we could see the water but it was across the street. Overall it is still a great place and it is only a block away. There were beach essentials there for us to use which was a huge plus. It was in a quiet safe area which we enjoyed. We would stay again in the future.

Conveniently located & comfy beds
We really enjoyed our stay and we were fortunate to be able to stay here on short notice. Super cutely decorated & extremely clean. There was a little noise from the coffee place/bar nearby at night but it didn’t bother us at all. We’d come back for sure!

Everything about the stay was great, but the two things that were missing were beach chairs and an umbrella. That would have helped greatly. But otherwise, it was perfect!

The location is perfect for me because I have family that live on the same street. However the immediate proximity to a party parking lot and a party coffee shop make it more troublesome until around 11 at night when things seem to quiet down. The owner doesn't feel like a toilet brush or a dust pan are basics that should be provided. And perhaps a flashlight in case the electricity goes out, and some spare batteries for the remote - which needed to be changed. Also requiring a reading for communication with the property manager when I did not communicate with a property manager is difficult. I just went with the middle.

We love the Sea Cottage - It's a great property... well laid out and convenient for shopping, restaurants & the beach.I-Trip is awesome & Charles & Liz are the best. They have always treated us in such a professional and helpful way. They are the only ones we look to when booking our yearly vacation in Florida.

Cute Inside but Not Very Attractive on the Outside
Our issues with the property have more to do with the condition of the outside. When we drove up we were disappointed with the moldiness on the exterior and the driveway and shared patio. There were some broken bricks on the steps to get inside. We thought at first that it was a little dumpy and not a cute "sea cottage" as it had been described. There's a shared patio with the other small cottage on the property. I think this should be fully disclosed because there's no privacy if you'd like to be outside. Also, it's next door to an empty parking lot for what appears to be big trucks.
The inside is cute. It's not a dump inside at all and is cute. Has 2 bedrooms with full-sized beds in each. A nice kitchen and cute living room. If multiple families rented both properties I suppose it would be fine, but again I felt the shared patio situation is not properly disclosed. We left days early and just forfeited the prepaid rental because we were that disappointed. Our fault for not researching the neighborhood enough. There's a bar diagonally across from the property and in the middle of the night we heard some yelling - probably just some patrons having a good time. We're not faulting them for that, but future renters should be aware of the location. Would not return.

NO AC and difficult to get help from iTrips
AC went out not allowing me and family in the place for 2 days.
Didn’t really think it was the fault of the owners until I saw the return air filter. This thing had not been changed in at least 6mo probably closer to a year with this amount of build up to the point I question the air quality. Would attach pics if I could.
The place is in a very busy area next to a bar and sketchy area.
Having 2 small children not having Ac was REAL burden with naps etc.
It could have been fixed quicker but the owner must not have liked the initial quote so they had to wait for another company which took the entire day. 9 pm the day it was “fixed” the place was 84deg. Not exactly comfortable sleeping temp.
iTrips/VRBO was the worst part of the deal. No one would talk to me outside of email except the poor service guy who had little he could do. iTrips/VRBO initial offer was to comp 50% of one night and eventually refunded a full night. (Note after fees etc that only covers 50% of the actual cost) not sure if anyone has ever had to break down a pack n play but imagine that times 2 (twin babies) but it’s a real headache and having one night refunded was hardly worth the pain. Heck I probably spent more than that in gas letting babies nap and generally staying cool.
Horrible horrible experience that could have been avoided with proper maintenance of the place and proper service by iTrips/VRBO.
Definetly not using iTrips or VRBO and definetly won’t be staying at this particular place.

Great location!
This place was the perfect location to the beach. It was right across the street from a public beach access, 2 wonderful restaurants, and the bus stop. The rental was perfect for a party of 3. Everything worked well and the place was equipped with everything we needed. It even had a blender. We did not have a small cooler(we had bigger ones) and we needed 3 beach chairs. We asked the manager if we could get those items and they had them in our place within 6 hours. The beach wasn't too busy like it is in Clearwater.

Great location so close to the beach!
Enjoyed our stay at the Sea Cottage. Very close to the beach, easy parking, fully stocked and equipped with essentials needed to cook and clean. The bar down the street wasn’t loud at all, or we slept through the noise but it was no issue for us. Two suggestion I would like make is regarding cleaning the floors and locking the windows. Given that it is a beach house, I understand it’s hard to get rid of ALL the sand that gets trekked inside but those floors were down right dirty. By the end of the first night, everyone’s feet were black underneath. We paid a hefty cleaning fee so this should not have been an issue. Second, none of the windows were locked upon arrival and it was quite the struggle to secure them at night.
Having said all that, we had a great weekend in Madeira Beach. Thank you for sharing your beach house!

101 Sea Cottage
Our friends and my family stayed at the cottage in Madeira beach and the place was phenomenal. Fully updated, all the utensils in the full kitchen we could ever need, beach accessories and very cosy and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!!!

101- sea cottage
The cottage was in an excellent location right across the Main Street from the beach. It had pretty much whatever we needed for our stay (washer/dryer, towels, hair dryer). I would definitely stay again. The only issue we ran into was during our last day there was what looked like an electric company right outside our window in the back yard chopping down palm trees at 7am and talking very loudly. I don’t think the owners or I trip are at fault.
