Situated in Santa Maria, this lovely condo for R 1,873 per night is a great option for your next trip. Our Luxury 2 bed 2 bath modern apartment is located on the prestigious Villa Verde Resort. The apartment is located on the ground floor of the Lantana Community. The apartment has an open plan layout with patio doors leading onto two large terrace. All doors are fitted with insect screens allowing guests to enjoy the views and Sal breeze! The bright and airy apartment is finished with high quality furnishings and appliances. The apartment is located within close proximity to the main reception area where you will find guest services who are able to arrange airport transfers,taxis,car hire,trips and excursions and trips to neighbouring islands. The apartment is set around a large communal swimming pool with a separate children's pool and play area, there is also a pool bar that serves drinks and food and has free internet access. The apartment benefits from the sun all day long and both of the bedrooms have patio doors that lead out to a terrace with nice views. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with electric cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine, built in water filter, kettle, toaster and all kitchen utensils and cookware. There are 2 bedrooms, the master bedroom has a king size bed with ample bed linen and an ensuite bathroom complete with bath and shower. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, there is a separate shower and WC for guests using the twin room. Both bedrooms have wardrobes with plenty of storage space. There is also a sofa bed in the living area. Villa Verde Resort Villa Verde Resort is a fully managed resort which has its own bars, supermarket, shops, coffee shop and a bank. The resort has 24 hour cctv and security patrols to ensure there are no unauthorised visitors. There is also a free private bus service that runs from the resort to Santa Maria, Espargos and Ponta Preta Beach. Guest services are located by reception. Sal Island is very appealing to water sport enthusiasts and people who just like to relax and watch the world go by. It is an ideal location for wind and kite surfing, it is also excellent for deep sea fishing, diving and snorkelling. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk away from the Villa Verde Resort. New for 2017... Vila Verde Resort has opened an ice cream parlour, pub and dive shop. There is also a further shop providing excursions, bike hire. The launch of the much sought after BIKINI BEACH previewed in December 2016 and will be open to public access January 2017. This is a short walk from Vila Verde. Fashion Beach opened earlier this year and is located on the outskirts of Santa Maria. This venue provides guests with the option of sunbathing in cabanas and swimming in their pool as well as a wide range of drinks and food choices. Prices can be found on the website under Fashion Beach Santa Maria. The Hilton Hotel is coming closer to completion, the casino is already open and this will certainly bring more tourisum to the Island. The port of Sal is in the process of expanding allowing cruise ships to dock and larger cargo ships. All in all Sal is looking to be bringing in more and more holiday makers from all over the world.

We arrived Sunday Christmas Eve. Collected as arranged by taxi driver who handed us key when we got to apartment. Apartment was very clean, well decorated, well laid out and comfy. Very quiet and relaxing with all appliances you require. It was situated near to complex entrance so reception and bus stop and taxi’s all very close. The complex is very large but exceptionally quiet with several swimming pools and pool bars plus a sports bar and a couple of restaurants and other retail outlets.There is several commercial units not yet occupied which will greatly increase choice of goods and services.We tried to get more supplies in as we were not sure if anything open Xmas day but unfortunately the supermarket on complex has limited hours and does not open on Sundays ( also not well stocked so supermarket in town much better). Being tired we made do. In the morning when showering noticed there was no hot water. We contacted manager who could not tell us which valves to turn on and informed us that as it was Xmas may not be easy to get maintenance man for apartment. We were not prepared to go without hot water so managed to get a maintenance man from the complex who came straight away and sorted it. The island is very quiet with little development. It is ideal if you are interested in kite surfing or driving quad bikes over the sand, (the island is mostly desert) or similar pastimes. The beaches are also pristine with plenty of room and ideal for sun-bathing. There is a wide choice of bars and restaurants in Santa Maria and very reasonable prices. A free, regular bus from the complex will take you there and bring you back or a taxi is only 3 euro’ s. This is an island for relaxing. We went for a week to chill out and the relaxing atmosphere made it feel like a fortnight. We would definitely recommend the island is you want to de stress.

Apartment in good position near entrance to Vila Verde. Two superb terraces so able to get shelter from the wind and still sunbathe. Pool area very nice but water still chilly. Good to have breakfast / lunch / evening meal restaurants on hand. Bakery was good and supermarket quite well stocked. Taxi to Santa Maria only 3 euros so used them rather than walk. Tourism just developing so was interesting to see the place before it becomes too commercialised. Enjoyed our visit very much.

Villa verde is a fantastic apartment, very clean and tidy, the beds are comfy and we all slept very well. The apartment comes with everything you need so you can enjoy a nice relaxing holiday. The apartment complex has two nice pools and plenty of sun loungers.There are shops and restaurants on the complex and as we got there late after a long day of travelling we went for a very nice meal at the restaurant opposite the sports bar. There is also a bank and a car hire/excursions agent on site. Santa maria town is only a short walk away but if you do not want to walk there are plenty of taxis and only 3 euro per trip daytime/ 4 euro at night. We had a fantastic stay at villa verde and we would recommend it to anyone. We will be back.
