Nice condo, beach front
Nice condo, beach front
Good things: beach front, fast elevators, convenient parking, comfortable beds, very convenient check in & check out. Moderate things: Kitchen very poorly stocked with cookware. Shared bathroom VERY small! Furniture is old & too bulky for the rooms--needs to be replaced. Pools were so-so. Bad things: Floors were sandy & gritty when we arrived & our barefeet got black from walking on it. Kitchen needed a wipe down. Cleaning crew needs to do a better job.

Overall experience was good with renting the property. The balcony has beautiful ocean front views and the condo is nice. The room could have used a little better cleaning before check in. One of the bedrooms had sand in the bed when pulled the sheets down to go to bed and same bedroom also had a toy and empty bottle of tea under the bed. The grounds and pools were good and we enjoyed the lazy river.

We stayed last week (July 22-29, 2017), and while it is a great location, the unit needs lots of minor repairs. Maintenance was no help. The ice maker on the refrigerator didn't work, the doors of the refrigerator felt like they were coming off, a towel rack in the master bath fell off the wall, a lamp in one of the bedrooms was a fire hazard with crazy flashing and hissing when turned on, the sliding doors to the balcony from both the living room and master bedroom were almost impossible to open. I had to crawl under the master bed to retrieve the cable remote, and then I had to hook up the cable box that had fallen behind the television under the dresser. I feel like maid service should have noticed that. My 82 yr old mother couldn't open the sliding glass doors and also had a hard time rising from the tiny toilet in the master bathroom. It needs to be replaced. The bathrooms were fairly clean, but the kitchen counters were so sticky we had to scrub them before placing anything on them. My car was flagged with a towing threat for being parked in a regular unloading spot due to there only being two handicapped spots under the building. My 82 year old mother has had both knees replaced, so walking across the street was not an option. I couldn't figure out who they were saving these spots for because there were other cars parked there throughout the week who did not have a handicapped tag like I did. (These cars were there for several hours, so they were not unloading. I'm assuming they cater more to the owners and allow this.) One last thing-I've never paid over $3K for a condo and it not have HBO! For those of us addicted to Game of Thrones, this was also a major inconvenience. No public restrooms on the ground floor for those using the pool either. We had to go up to our unit on the 11th floor to use the restroom; again, not an ideal situation for an elderly or disabled person. I take responsibility for this and should have booked the more expensive lower floor. Crescent Shores is in a great location, but it is an older building with poor parking. My brother's car was scratched badly in the middle of the driver's side door while parked in the garage across the street. Not enough handicapped parking, and lots of repairs need to be made. This was definitely not worth the price I paid.
