About this condo rental
Located in South Forest Beach, this charming condo for R 6,049 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. The villas at Ocean Dunes are professionally managed by Vacation Time of Hilton Head and are best rented directly through our website. With a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean from the oceanfront balcony, the villa is just steps to the beach and oceanfront heated pool. It is nestled between Marriott's Grand Ocean Resort to the south and Hilton's Ocean Oak Resort to the north--a perfect location for meeting friends and family who might be staying at either of these resorts. It is ideally located to help make your vacation enjoyable and memorable! The second floor villa, accessible by elevator and was completely renovated. Renovations included a full kitchen with granite countertop, an enhanced open floor plan and new furnishings and artwork. The freshly painted villa comfortably sleeps four in a queen bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The Ocean Dunes, oceanfront pool is now a heated pool which will be open seven days a week all year long. The temperature will be set to 82 degrees, that is the industry standard. The pool hours are from 9AM till sunset. The Ocean Dunes Complex is an oceanfront property approximately 70 yards from the beach on South Forest Beach Drive and just a short distance from Coligny Plaza and the Coligny Beach Park. Guests also have access to the Hilton's Oceanside Bar and Grill and Starbucks. AMENITIES: - Access to the new Oceanside Bar & Grille and Marketplace at the Ocean Oak Resort, just next door to Ocean Dunes, with breakfast, lunch, dinner, poolside bar, Starbucks and outdoor fire pits - Queen bed in the bedroom with the same mattress as used at Marriott Hotels and Resorts. Absolutely beautiful view. Easy walk to coligny plaza on beach 10-15 min. Unit had all necessities. Supplies limited in unit Only 1 bathroom bath towel per person provided. 1 garbage bag. We stayed a week. housekeeping never responded to calls so had to purchase. Unit was small like people said but there were just 2 of us I wouldn’t recommend anyone other than 2 very small children staying with 2 adults. Bed was soft but you would roll to middle & bathtub while taking shower didn’t drain properly but didn’t impact our stay. Everything else was great.

We stayed a week at this location for a family vacation. We found the condo as advertised. It was clean and had been updated. It is very small, but size is as advertised. It is a very convenient location and has a beautiful view. The only negative I can provide is on the size. Only 2 people can comfortably stay there. We had a 9 year old child that used the sofa bed, but there was no room to walk in the living room when the bed was out. Not ideal for more than can stay in the bedroom.

Great get away.
This was perfect for us, two adults and a teenage daughter. The location was close but not too close to Coligny Beach access, shopping and dining. We prefer less activity than the husltle and bustle. We loved the view of the ocean and dunes from our condo. I would definitely use this propert again.

First family vacation
This property was rated “excellent” and honestly I’m confused why. The entire room smelled like mold, even with the humidifier on constantly. Stale and musty. We laid down for bed the first night and the linens smelled soured. Luckily Judy the cleaning lady brought us fresh the next day. The shower floor feels like it’s going to cave in, and never really looks clean. Not sure if it’s stained or just old. The most disturbing part was the bath towels had (what I am hoping was beard hair) woven within the fabric. Super gross. The doors don’t latch, so when laying my baby down for a nap the door never would shut all the way, or pop loudly open and scared him to death. Sand was still on the floor, and so I had to vaccuum as soon as we got there. The description says linens are provided but it fails to mention that only enough is provided if you plan to stay there for 3 to 4 days. I feel if you are staying a week extra linen should be included, or at least make you aware. Ventilation sucks, so our room got to smell like the endless
Marijuana being smoked from the family staying beside us. If the linens and mold smell was fixed, we’d maybe consider staying a long weekend.

Literally a short 2 minute walk from the condo to the beach, beautiful view from the balcony. Kids enjoyed the pool too. Beach chairs and umbrella were available for our use on the beach. Exactly as pictured. My only complaint was the shower head. It was older and sprayed water every direction except where you wanted, so it seemed. We loved the place though! Will stay again for sure.

You might want to bring extra towels and washcloths if you don't want to do laundry when you are there. The location was perfect because it was far enough away from the hustle and bustle but just a short bike ride or walk to it, too. I recommend getting bikes while you are there! This was our first time ever renting bikes on vacation, but we felt really safe with all the excellent biking paths around the island.
We had a little trouble getting into the lockbox to get our keys after hours, but we called and they walked us right through it. It would be much easier if there was a keypad to punch in a keycode on the door, but that was my only complaint.
We will stay again when we go back!

Awesome location!
This a great location and it’s absolutely adorable! The unit was clean and offered plenty of kitchen necessities. The short walk to the beach made it great for us with our two year old! Would definitely rent again and highly recommend it!

Very convenient to the beach, very nice beds! The parking was terrible. I had to park across the street one night because the gate was broken. The toilet wouldn’t flush. Luckily the chain on the flange had come undone and I fixed it. The shower is clogged and drains very slow.

Perfect Location and Unit
The location is amazing and the unit is top notch. My group ended up larger than originally planned and the hosts were able to quickly get us more towels and supplies. Loved being next to the Hilton; their beach bar and grill has excellent food and drinks. It was easy to socially distance both on the beach and at the condo. I would love to come back.

Our 3rd time staying in this unit. The unit was clean on arrival. The couch is very uncomfortable time to be replaced. The owners have done a great job labeling (lights, remotes, fans, etc.....) Well stocked (towels, paper towels, soap, coffee filters) Great location.We had to pull on the door to lock it. The humidifier is very loud (we turned it off while we were in the unit). It would be very crowded with 4 people in the unit.
The complex definitely is showing its age. Outside the complex smells like mildew. BEWARE of SNAKES....while lounging by the pool a snake came up around my chair. Earlier in the week a snake feel out of one of the palm trees and almost landed on someone. I guess you can expect snakes around with the natural areas...but I was surprise to see them inside the pool area. The pool is small and was very warm like bath water --pool is old. The shrubs around the walk ways should be trimmed way back . A new key coded gate (now a gated community)!! We Planned to book the same unit one more year, the price increased $560. We are looking for a newer unit/complex for next year. You can book the Hilton next door via vrbo 2 bedroom unit for a little bit more.
