Situated in Lake Weir, this attractive house for R 4,378 per night is a great option for your next trip. It's Your Time to RELAX! Come enjoy the Lake Weir Getaway on sparkling Lake Weir. The Lake Weir Getaway is nestled among the massive Live Oak trees and white sandy beaches that make Lake Weir such a special place to create great Florida memories. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. Nature is alive here as bald eagles, osprey, herons, egrets, ducks and otters make their homes on Lake Weir. The lake is also well known by fishermen for its plentiful large mouth bass, blue gill and crappie. You're welcome to bring your boat and use our dock while you're here. There's plenty of room to park your trailer. Wake boarding, water skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding and sailing are just a few of the fun water sports you can enjoy on the lake. Kids love jumping off the dock and playing in the sandy shallows. We've loaded our white sandy beach with Adirondack chairs for you to move around to find that perfect spot to wiggle your toes in the sand or snuggle in close to a beach bonfire to roast marshmallows under the stars. You'll be about 15 minutes from Publix Supermarket, WalMart, Sams Club, Sportsmans Warehouse, and every other national retailer you could think of, so don't sweat it if you forget something. And there's WiFi here to help you stay connected. Disney, Universal, and the other Orlando attractions are about an hour and a half drive from The Getaway. The Ocala National Forest boundary is 10 minutes away. The Atlantic Ocean and Gulf coast are each about an hour and a half drive and offer tons of things to see and places to visit. Explore historic St. Augustine. Swim with the manatees at Crystal River. Kayak and snorkel down crystal clear Rainbow River. Mountain bike on the Santos Trail. Fish for world class tarpon, redfish and trout. Or get unplugged and just relax! This is a duplex and we live next door, so if you're looking for a party house or place for a large family reunion, Lake Weir Getaway probably isn't for you. A maximum of 7 guests are allowed on the property and there's enough room to park three vehicles. NO PETS allowed, however, there are kennels and pet care facilities available in the area. This is a great lake house for rent in Central Florida.

The McDonald’s have a very nice Getaway, me and my family enjoyed 14 days of fun. The house was clean and the days on the lake were amazing. We will be back renting from this nice couple again. Thanks Guys!

A great stay for family vaca!
Bartow and Laura were most friendly hosts. Having them close by really came in handy when I was in need of some rice for my phone that went for a swim. We enjoyed our stay very much at the Getaway. The home was quite cozy and very clean. We would definitely recommend a stay here. Thank you for having us this year!

Home is comfortable and laid back,not fancy or lavish, but just right for the setting. Master bed super comfy. Great screened in porch overlooking lake and sandy beach. Also a nice dock where we tied up our boat-although without cleats this was a bit of a chore.-we had a25 footer and it really was 3 person job. Owner Bartow actually helped us do it 1st time. He and wife Laura were delightful hosts and available for any of our questions or needs. The lake itself is just gorgeous-although it was quite an eventful week there. We’ll let them tell u abt it. We hope to return

Lake Weir Getaway
We enjoyed our time fishing, kayaking and just relaxing at the lake. The hosts were very friendly, accommodating and respectful of privacy. We found it to be no hassle taking the trash to the recycling center, just up the road. The house was very well stocked. We would love to return someday.

Perfect Lake Weekend
We had a blast at the lake house! We stayed for 2 nights. This is the best stocked VRBO we've ever stayed at - the owners have put a ton of thought into amenities and creature comforts. The kiddos (age 8) enjoyed the kayaks and playing in the lake. It's a short drive to Ocala National Forest, we did some fun hiking. DoorDash and Instacart deliver here, HUGE BONUS!!!!! Definitely recommend this family friendly FUN lake house to visit!

Hopefully we'll be able to book this place every July 4! We had a fun relaxing trip. Perfect for the kiddos to swim, kayak and play on the beach. Rooms were perfect size for our crew and the hosts were super nice. Perfect spot for fireworks!

Beautiful property and great hosts
I recently visited The Lake Weir Getaway with my family and we all had a wonderful stay. The weather could have cooperated more but we enjoyed watching the rain from the screened porch. Laura and Bartow were very helpful and even assisted me with a boat issue I had while I was there. If you're bringing a boat, this is a great location because the boat ramp is only a short drive and they have a dock as well as a mooring buoy. The lake is beautiful with its sand bottom. The place was clean and well-kept and had plenty of utensils for cooking. Make sure to visit Eaton's Beach restaurant (thank you Bartow for the recommendation!). We definitely hope to return when there's more sunshine to enjoy!

Great family vacation
We spent almost two weeks here and loved it! The lake was nice. The fishing from the dock was good. The house was nice, but the real treasure here is the McDonald family. Bartow and Laura were very accommodating and tried hard to make our time there fun and relaxing. We will definitely be back!

Perfect little cabin for the family. Kids really enjoyed the kayaks and playing on the beach. Anchoring our wake boat was easy next to the dock. Great views of the water and the sunrise. Huge screened in patio. Nice little propane grill. Hosts were very hospitable and helpful.

The Perfect Getaway
The perfect place to get away and relax! We loved every minute of this trip! The back deck and beach setup is amazing and we spent the entire time outside relaxing taking in the view. Kids loved jumping off the dock, swimming in the lake and kayaking. Well stocked with everything you could need! We definitely plan to come back one day!!
