Great location close to the beach and beautiful walks. Nice and spacious as our boys (10 & 12) really enjoyed the theatre room and Netflix. Carla was very responsive with having the a/c fixed. A few more beach items (chairs, boogie board, etc.) would be great for a future stay. Overall we had a blast!

The location and properly were excellent. Carla was super helpful and accommodating and very responsive throughout our stay. I would recommend this property in this area as I have traveled to orange county many times and love Dana Point as a location as it's easy to get to San Diego as well as all of orange county and beyond

This was a great house for our family to celebrate Christmas together. It was well appointed and spacious with a convenient location. Carla made everything easy. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

Our family just loved this home. IT has a cozy and well appointed feel to it and we immediately felt at home. The location is amazing, the home is superbly clean and the beds were super comfy. We hope we can come back next year.

We have been staying in this home during the month of January for 3 years in a row now. We love its location, so close to the beach and enjoy walking to and from. The beautiful sunset views that you can see from the master bedroom windows are a great plus. The most important thing to the two of us is a quiet place and one that is comfortable seeing as during the winter months we spend more time indoors. This place is in a very quiet neighborhood and has very comfortable furniture. We especially like the home theatre room with the comfy recliners and the living room is great for having friends over. We like to cook and the kitchen is awesome! Carla is wonderful to deal with and very responsive to every need. We will be back next year again for sure!

My family and I were in a situation where we needed a place to stay while our house was being remodeled. We absolutely loved staying at this condo. It had everything we needed for my family of 5. It was comfortable, cozy and loved walking down to the beach. Carla was very helpful to us.

My family had a great time at the Dana Point Trip-level home. Our family stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed being together in the Kitchen, living room and downstairs movie room. Everything worked well and Carla was very helpful with answers to our questions. There are good instructions for the home and the technology such as wifi and TVs etc. We cooked most meals in for 8 of us and the kitchen is well stocked and laid out nicely. Thank you for a great time!

Our family rented this home for the week of Christmas and absolutely loved our stay. There was an abundance of space, an amazing kitchen, a nice patio with fire pit, and great views of the ocean and sunsets over the area. The Media room was a wonderful way to watch football and movies! Comfortable beds and a beautiful fireplace. This may not be the place for older adults due to the many flights of stairs. I've only removed a star for the perplexing lighting and light switch positions in most of the rooms and the wear and tear on a few of the theater room seats. Otherwise, it was perfect. Highly recommended.

Working with Carla was fantastic. She was helpful and understanding when we shared our experience at the home we stayed in. We were looking for a long term place to stay due to a water leak/remodel with our home. Unfortunately, the first vacation house was not comfortable for us to stay in. Although big, well kept and in a gated community, the house had too many personal items of the home owner laying around. It made it difficult to settle in for the duration of our time needed. We found a more suitable option for our family which we've been very happy with.

Carla was fantastic and helped up figure out what would suit our needs best. The locale is easy and a short walk to the beach. The house is nice. Master comfy. It would be a good spot for a family the way it is laid out and the theater room.

Everything was grand! The place had a great location. Carlas Service is superb!

Carla met us at the house and oriented us to the use of the televisions which have the same apps we enjoy at home. She was very accessible for my questions before, during and after our stay. Best of all, she returned of our $1500 deposit withthin the seven days that she promised.Should we return to Dana Point I would look for a VRBO that she manages.

This was a wonderful home to stay in for our first trip to California! The house was beautiful and stocked with everything we needed. There was plenty of room for all of us and the theater room was a great bonus!

This was my first time in SoCal so my husband and I wanted to be close to the beach.  This house in Dana Point was exactly what we were looking for! The house was the largest vacation rental I have ever been in, it had great views of the ocean, and the house was in a quiet safe neighborhood.  We love to cook so we went to the nearby Trader Joe’s quite a few times and cooked most days in the spacious and well equipped, newly remodeled kitchen.  The house has a garage so we didn’t have to waste time looking for street parking.  The house was an easy walk to the beach and it was close to Laguna Beach and San Clemente beach too.  We went to the beach every day for a walk and in the evening we enjoyed a movie in the home movie theater at the vacation rental.  Biggest home screen I have ever seen!  Carla was very helpful and nice, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.  We would love to visit this vacation rental again soon!

This was the perfect getaway for us from the busy New York life.  We loved this huge vacation rental in Dana Point and it was quick and easy to get to the beach!  Either a quick stroll down the hill or a two minute drive to the beach parking lot.  The house was easy to get to Laguna Beach too so we went there quite a lot, but our favorite was Strand Beach which is the one near the house.  Such a beautiful and quiet beach and a nice sunset walk for us. The house was clean, with new amenities, the theater room was a nice touch!  You can see the ocean from the house.  The large kitchen was remodeled and had new appliances.  It had everything we needed and we cooked most of the time during our one week stay.  Trader Joe’s and Bed Bath and Beyond is a 10 minute drive away so we got all our groceries there and ended up going most days. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and there is garage parking to the house.   Carla, the property manager, made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of.  We highly recommend this vacation rental and plan on visiting again very soon!

This house was spacious and beautiful. We were looking for something last minute and Carla got right back to me. She was effiecient and always available to answer any questions. The area is beautiful and you could walk to the beach. Our family will definitely be baclk

This home turned out to have everything we were looking for in a rental - walk to a great beach, quiet location for relaxing in a large and spacious home. Well decorated and upgraded kitchen made it fun and easy to prepare meals. Nice ocean views from living room, balcony and master bedroom. The theater room is second to none with the largest TV I've ever seen. The location was safe and nice with easy access to all the attractions we wanted to visit. We can't wait to come back for a longer stay!

Two of us spent two weeks; children and grandchildren joined us for part of that time. Agent was very good about getting someone to help fix the Netflix access, which the kids used a lot in the theatre. Close enough to beach and grocery (having a car is helpful). We had been to Dana Pt. before and knew how to use bus, trolley, and cabs when necessary. A/C a plus on some humid days (until we got used to it). Room for our max of 8. Kitchen very functional. Beverage holder (separate from fridge) was a plus, although it took quite a while to chill things (maybe defrost?). Only minor suggestions: the garage door is very noisy opening/closing . . . I'll bet neighbors would appreciate you lubricating the wheels and hinges. Also upper floor seating; we turned chairs around to face the window and ocean. Would recommend for almost anyone (unless stairs are an issue).

This was our first time to CA and we wanted to be close to LA and San Diego. The house in Dana Point was the exact place we were looking for. Having two teenage boys, this house provided the right amount of space and amenities for everyone in the family. The bedrooms are comfortable and all have TV's. The living room has great seating and we spend a lot of time on the front deck area watching the sunsets. The kitchen is well appointed and spacious, and allowed for those 'late evening snacks' for the kids. Location is great, with it being a two minute drive to the to the beach, or walk there in 5-10 minutes (note, it is downhill going, but uphill on the way back). The house is very close to everything, including the harbor area and stores/restaurants on PCH. We would definitely recommend this place to any family, but be aware that there are lots of stairs so it may be a challenge for very young children (lots of up & down stairs). Lastly, I'd like to give high marks to Carla from Sunset Vacations. She was very helpful both on the phone, while booking the house, and in meeting us at the house to go over everything. Thank you for helping make this a very special trip :)

We went to Cali to visit our daughter who moved out a few months before. This put six adults size people in the house, but it was not too crowded. The kitchen is well equipped and the nice large dining table allowed for comfortable family dinners. The theater room was a hit as we had 18, 19 and two 22 years olds. It was a short drive from the beach, the marina and nicely located to hit the San Diego Zoo, Laguna Beach and, the mission at San Juan Capistrano. Carla was excellent to work with.

After a really bad winter on the east coast, our stay at the home on Chula Vista street in Dana Point was just what the doctor ordered. It was close to everything including the beach which our kids walked to. We shopped in Laguna Beach and enjoyed walking through the beautiful park there. The kids also spent several days at Disney while my wife and I took a trip to Catalina Island from the Ferry at Dana Point. The house was perfect with large bedrooms and a beautiful kitchen and a view of the Ocean. We watched several movies together in the theater room. The neighborhood was really nice and we felted very safe there.

We stayed at this rental in June of 2014. I don't know which was better the movie room or the location. My husband and the kids loved watching the big screen TV late at night after a busy day. The location was great too. We drove to San Diego one day and LA on two days. There is so much to do and Dana Point gives you easy access to all the sites. There are plenty of places to eat and the beaches are just a few minutes away. The townhome is quiet (except for the construction next door which is probably finished by now), clean and comfortable. It has all the amenities plus some! Carla is very nice and helpful. We loved our trip to Dana Point!

Our stay at Chula Vista was great! I had my parents come down from Northern California and my mom said, "This is the nicest place I've ever stayed in." She was right! My parents loved the upper level master bedroom! The kitchen was nice, a lot bigger than anything I am used to. The house is close enough to Strand Beach, we walked down. Great Exercise, and such a nice beach! You can see Catalina from the balcony and watch beautiful sunsets! The rooms are very clean and the beds are pleasantly comfortable. The home theater is so nice, with big comfy chairs that you can cozy up in, while watching your favorite movie on a huge screen! The backyard is nice too, with a table fire pit. We roasted marshmallows one night...The kids really loved that! The 6 of us had such a great time! I hope we will be back soon!

This home was exactly what our family wanted for a vacation. With 6 of us the spacious home had everything we need including garage and back yard. Nice ocean views to catch fabulous sunsets. The home is furnished much nicer than any rental I've seen before with top of the line TV's (a theater room to die for) and great furniture. You could see the care given to every detail and the rental manager was so helpful. This location allows for easy access all over Socal and to the beautiful beaches. Can't wait to return!

We absolutely love the area and this was a great location to enjoy it. Great location very close to Dana Point and a very short drive to the Strand Beach, one of the best places in California. Really enjoyed the house which allowed us to relax after a busy day in beach. Plenty of space inside and outside for us and our two small kids. We also loved the really amazing home theatre in the lower floor to enjoy the movies as they are supposed to be enjoyed. We will be back

My family of seven arrived in Dana Point in early October to stay at the Tri-Level for five days. Every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our time at the home as it was large enough for everyone to have space. The kitchen and dining area is large enough for a gathering space and to cook meals for the entire family. The Ralph's grocery is just down the hill, about a five minutes drive. My family enjoyed walks to the beach and sunsets from the balcony. They also enjoyed the movie theater in the bottom floor. As for myself, the Mom, I enjoyed my personal space on the third floor, complete with a large TV for me to watch my favorite team play football. LARGE closets, wonderful showers and three bathrooms were nice for our seven people. This is a NICE retreat for a family vacation and the location is right next to Laguna Beach--a delightful strip of shops and lovely beaches.

As 35 year Dana Point Residents (who are VERY particular) we stayed here during a remodel for 2 months. The property was amazing especially the view. Nice patios for sunset BBQ's and cocktails. The furniture was all brand new and gave a great beach vibe. The movie room was really fun too. (We didnt know they make TV's that big...) From this location short walk to a beautiful beach and the harbor is very close. Things to do locally are: golf, fish, surf, paddle board, sail, dive/snorkel, mountain bike, harbor walks, whale watch, 3 skateboard parks for kids within 15 -20 minute drive, San Juan Mission and Laguna Beach are only 10 minutes away. Whatever you are into its here. This house is VERY comfortable and user friendly. Stop looking... this is the place. We are locals and we know :-)

We recently stayed at this vacation rental in Dana Point and it has been the best stay we've ever had. We travel frequently and we've stayed at many different types of vacation rentals so as you can imagine, there have been places that were both hit and misses. Visiting from New York City for a much needed one week getaway, it was extremely important for us to have a worry-free rental. Booking the property online was easy and upon arrival, we were greeted by the property manager who was a wonderful and informative person who gave us a tour of the place and made us feel very much at home. The house itself was huge! Just like the pictures, but bigger and much more spacious than we thought. It was extremely clean, immaculately furnished, and the attention to quality and detail was quite astonishing, something we’ve rarely seen elsewhere and that showed real care and thought had been put into this home. We were very impressed with the quality of the electronics in the home. Each bedroom had a large flat screen TV with Cable and the home even had its own home theater. Of course there was a giant screen too. The home theater was equipped with a Blueray player and Apple TV box that was bundled together with a Netflix account for us to use without any additional charge. The living room TV was equipped with a Wii Console with games. I must say we had so much fun playing Wii sports tennis in the evenings! The living room was very spacious with a terrace and you could see views of the ocean. The sunsets were incredible, the best time for ocean viewing was around twilight, and the master bedroom upstairs had even better views than the terrace. On one occasion we were even able to see Catalina Island during twilight and the ocean was this beautiful aquamarine glowing color. Our most favorite part of the house though was the huge kitchen as we love to cook. Coming back to our small apartment in New York, we felt extremely spoiled while we were staying at this vacation rental in Dana Point. The location was really convenient and about 5 minutes away from Dana Point Harbor. Getting around to the beach towns such as Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, and Huntington Beach was easy. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and not rowdy like some of the places you might find on the beach. This fit our needs for quiet, elegance and relaxation but having the night life 5 minutes away if we wanted it. We would definitely visit this vacation rental again and highly recommend it.
