Lovely garden and nice staff

The staff was really nice. They can arrange a safari in lake Nakuru for a good price. The food was really good and the breakfast can be taken away for a picnic during the safari. The garden is beautiful and at night they light up the fireplace to have your dinner there.

The shower was cold, but again it is a more budget hotel so it was ok.

Would recommend to anyone passing through. Great value and great host.

The property was at a great location just outside of Nakuru (more quiet / safer than the city). The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and had all the necessary facilities. They had security and cameras around the property which made us feel safe. They have a kitchen and bar on the property serving great food from home grown produce. Cecilia (Host) was a stand out by being very helpful and appreciative of being your host and tried to do everything to make your stay more comfortable. She personally drove us to our next accommodation 20km away when no Ubers were around which helped us a lot. Everything is local prices (non of the non-resident prices often charged) and the breakfast included was delicious. Would recommend for anyone passing through.

Super price-performance ratio! :)

Breakfast was included, which was good. Meals in general were freshly made. Possibility to make laundry and for a good price. Also, they helped us find somebody to share coasts for game drives. Wifi was good and the garden was really nice. Drinking water was available in the room.

The relaxing place in Nakuru!

It's a very relaxing and tranquil area, perfect after doing a safari and just chilling in the sun with a nice beer. The staff is super friendly and will do everything to make sure you have a great time. Rooms are nice and big, shower has hot water and the Wi-Fi is nice. They can arrange a nice safari to Nakuru NP, would recommend!

The food was okay, not great. And keep in mind in can take easily an hour to get it prepared.

My relatives enjoyed their stay at Homebase Gardens. They arrived after midnight but the chef was still able to make them a meal. Fully recommend this place.

Home away from home

Booked Homebase Gardens for my relatives visiting Kenya from Tanzania. They really liked staying here. They said the rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and breakfast was good. They liked this place so much I have booked for them to stay here again before they travel back to Tanzania.

Relaxing stay in Nakuru

Homebase Gardens is a nice quiet location a few minutes outside of Nakuru. Everyone is very friendly. We had a good breakfast each day, eating it outside in the lovely garden. They also have a bar and a restaurant. It is very good value and a nice relaxing place to stay.

Excellent service, would highly recommend

Cecilia and the staff were excellent throughout our entire stay. It is very clear that their business model revolves around customer service & providing the best quality service possible, which made for an excellent stay. Cecilia helped organise a game drive and contacted my girlfriend & I ahead of time to link us up with another couple, making the game drive very affordable (about £75 in total, typically it’d cost over £100). The staff were also very accommodating, e.g. they renewed a sports channel just so that I could watch football one evening. The food is also very well priced, and high quality with a range of African dishes available, and some European dishes if you wanted.

Felt like paradise!

A beautiful garden growing fresh vegetables and flowers + great facilities (restaurant, bar, chill area) provide the space for a truly great time. Attentive and kind staff, always up for a chat and providing everything I needed. The food is made fresh to order, super delicious and inexpensive. Ask Cecilia for support with your planned activities, she will make sure you get the best experience!

Absolutely superb service! Homebase was incredibly accommodating with our room and helpful when we needed stuff like booking a game drive and taxi. Food was also fantastic. Big portions for a great price.
