Staff was very helpful and willing to work with you for anything you needed. They were professional and attentive. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and was good. I did eat a few dinners too and they were also good and prepared promptly.
Had a little trouble figuring out the hot water but other than that no complaints.

the mosquito nets have to be changed, and the room have to be cleaned a bit deeper

Everyone was very friendly and attentive. The meals were always very filling and they were accommodating of dietary restrictions. The room was very clean and I had hot water. The upstairs area where the food/bar is located has great views and is well decorated.

WiFi is not good in the room and the food takes a long time to be ready.

the staff and Manager were wonderful. They could not have been better hosts. The main hotel was overbooked so they moved us and upgraded us to their second location and they provided free transportation
there is no Wi-Fi router. I’ll let you know Wi-Fi was from a dongle that the manager carried around. So I it did not work well.

nice view to Kili from the shared area.
location is far from the city.
the music is always on and loud! hard to get sleep at nights if you to bed early.

Great friendly staff. Great recommendations for activities. Theo the owner was very personable and worked very hard to accommodate any need we had with a smile and a laugh.

The training of the staff could be improved.

Really nice place overall. The restaurant on the upper terrace is great for hanging out and sometimes getting a view of the Kilimanjaro. The food was delicious and a lot, and the room really comfy. I appreciated the hot water as well :) It is a bit far away from the Moshi center, but you can get there quickly by tuck-tuck, which the hotel will help organize. They also helped with activities around Moshi, such as a day-hike on Kilimanjaro and a coffee tour, at more reasonable prices than other guides. There was good wifi everywhere.
Nothing to add here

The location is conveniently close to the town which makes it easy to access any services. They were kind enough to provide a tour guide to access the various city attractions and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the entire stay. Would highly recommend as a budget location. It has a wonderful rooftop bar/space where you can work or read a book and the location is very serene with lots of birds so it can easily double up as a birdwatching space. I really enjoyed that.
The free breakfast was sufficient but the menu would be a little bit better if there was more on offer. I found my room a little bit small and it did not have a workstation chair but there was a couch present, a workstation was however available in the other rooms since I booked kind of last-minute so I got the last available room. No complaints though since I was on a short stay.

The staff and owner were very kind and helped us with everything we needed, including getting a Tanzanian SIM. The room also had proper hot water, and the view of Kilimanjaro on a clear day from the terrace is fantastic.
One staff member tried to overcharge us for laundry, initially quoting 4 dollars and then changing it to 20 dollars once we gave him the clothes.

The room was nice, bed was comfortable and the staff will always try to help you. Especially Aronny was very kind and friendly.
Mosquito net had large holes and there was no warm water. Chairs in the common space could use some pillows. Some off the staff members were a little bit intrusive, they don't really leave you alone. On my first day I was given an unreasonably high price for a taxi ride to the center. One of the staff members insisted that the taxi was going to wait for me to get back. I told him i didn't want that but he did not listen until i got quite mad. It was very hard to explain things since they spoke very little English. But I mostly felt like they just didnt really listen or respected what I wanted. Also I asked for checkout time and was told 11:00, turns out it was 10 so they started cleaning my room while i was still packing.
I always give tip but i dont think its nice that one of the staff members was asking for it before I even get the chance to give some.
I'm sorry, I dont like to criticize because I also know everybody is trying so hard to do well but to be honest I found it a bit frustrating to stay here. I hope you can use the feedback.

This was one of my favorite places to stay in Africa. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the place had a very pleasant atmosphere. The view of Kilimanjaro from the restaurant was also amazing!

Very cool place where you'll meet amazing and fun people and you maybe even enjoy together some tanzanian adventures. Best shower so far in Tanzania, with a lot of water pressure and hot water.
If you are lucky you can enjoy the beautiful view on the mt kili while eating breakfast.

Staff was great, very clean and good atmosphere to meet other travellers. However place is not too big and sometimes might be harder to meet other travellers.
It is 5min from downtown by motorbike or tuktuk. Very good prices for food and drinks.
They continuosly try to sell you tours.

It was great :) the owner is super nice & helpful, my room had many cabinets to sort my stuff, they kept my bag safe while I was trekking Kilimanjaro. The breakfast was delicious and served by a really nice waiter. Everyone tries so hard for the guests to feel welcome. It's also a place where I met many interesting travelers. The hotel also has a restaurant which doubles as a common place for the guests, I had a dinner and it was tasty and reasonably priced. The location is a bit out of town, which offers tranquility, but takes you only half an hour walking to the main bus station (or a short tuk-tuk drive - there are many ready to take you). I recommend to everyone visiting Moshi zo stay here :)

The place is really beautiful and the staff is so friendly! The food also is very good and you can ask the owner for activities or things to do or visit for a very good price. Would definitely recommend this for the adventurous people.

Staff is nice. I had a double bed with private bathroom. Water pressure is good and there is hot water.
I think location is good because it is away from the town. It isn’t noisy. Terrace is nice.
Wifi doesn’t reach the room. (Actually this might be better for health but l work through internet)

I spent two nights at Thiophil‘s Comfy Stay before and after my Kilimanjaro Trek, but he did a lot more than just being someone who runs a small hotel. Please read!
The accommodation:
small cozy rooms made for backpackers and low-maintenance clientele, I stayed in two different ones. Everything worked fine and if it didn’t, a lot of effort was made to tackle the issue right away - while I had dinner (very fresh and good!!) they installed a completely new shower system in my room. The staff are very polite and made a happy, comfortable and knowledgeable impression on me.
The WiFi:
I learned that sometimes the WiFi in Africa can be an issue; at the comfy stay they have a good system that worked really well in the restaurant (top food, whatever I tried was amazing and freshly made!) and mostly good in the rooms. The WiFi router was changed during my Kili expedition, that was definitely a win. I could book things and it was a secure connection.
Activities:
Thiophil has a very large network of people he works with when it comes to day trips and expeditions as well as safaris.
A daytrip to the Materuni waterfall was well-organised and super cool, the pictures that can be found don’t do the waterfall justice. (See mine!!) Breathtaking natural power, at least when I visited end of June. It reminded me a bit of Seljalandsfoss in Iceland! Amazing views of the rainforest all along the way!
After my expedition I went on another half-day trip to the Chemka springs. After the Trek it was really nice to swim a bit in this beautiful spring system. The water is crystal clear, and slightly warm, but definitely not hot. Bring a dive mask to see all the little fish and the wide subsurface hole where the water streams from! A very nice place where locals and travellers mingle, music and barbecue. I also brought two others who I had met on the Trek and they enjoyed it as much as me, one person needed to be dropped off at the airport which he integrated into the route. Simply amazing!

The hotel is tidy and clean. Feeling like we're in the jungle. The hotel staff is courteous, and always ready to help.
The hotel owner helped us with everything we needed. Took us wherever we asked, helped us get by and bargained for what we deserved. And all always with a smile and good will so that we will be satisfied.
Really recommend!!

I spent a weekend on Moshi to explore the area a bit and chose The Comfy Stay based on the good reviews and price. They don’t lie! Timothy and his brother are excellent hosts and they really care about your well-being during the stay. I also did a tour to Materuni village and to the hot springs with Timothy and both of them were great.
The rooftop with the view to the Kilimanjaro is really nice. They also serve lunch and dinner and there’s a small bar.
The food took very long during the first day but after mentioning this, next day I got my breakfast with 5 minutes.

Room, breakfast, view, restaurant, staff, superb. Very great service, exceeded my expectations. The rooms are super clean, with net, fan, towels , etc. The breakfast so delicious and the rooftop restaurant with an amazing view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Staff friendly, safe and professional. This is one of the best places i stayed in Tanzania, at the same time the cheapest. Cant find better deal than this in Moshi.
