The Villa showcases extraordinary historical architecture made up of ashlar stones (that frame the grand entrance) and is notably mentioned in the book “Le Ville di Firenze” - Florence Villas. The arched entrance leads into the immaculately kept private courtyard, that comes with a full set of outdoor furniture, perfect to relax after a busy day touring the area. The inside of the villa is made up of stone jambs that enrich the doors, while the vaulted bedrooms create a comfortable yet pristine atmosphere. Within the estate, there is also an antique private chapel: its interiors feature vaulted ceiling decorated with a beautiful painting of the Virgin Mary in the center. After a complete renovation phase that lasted several years, where all of the original charm and architectural features were strictly maintained, the villa’s interiors have recently been meticulously upgraded to the highest standards. The thorough attention to details, from the careful selection of the materials used, to the exquisitely appointed furniture and the selection of art hanging on the walls, has contributed into creating a truly unique space that perfectly blends with the villa’s original structure. Spreading over a surface of more than 7,000 square feet, with its 8 wonderfully decorated bedrooms (all air conditioned), the property offers the ultimate accommodation for your dream luxury Italian holiday! The owners take care of the production of delicious wines, olive oil, honey, and Vin Santo (dessert wine) directly within the estate, which can all be tasted at anytime… As an introduction to the Family’s winemaking activity, all guests are offered a free wine tasting and visit of the main aging cellar. The Location. The property is located nearby the village of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, in the heart of the Chianti countryside, with easy access to all of the area’s major cultural and artistic towns such as Florence, San Gimignano, Siena, Monteriggioni, Volterra, Certaldo, etc.. There are many charming restaurants surrounding the area, in addition to a range of local delicacies, crafts, and jewelry shops. Tavarnelle Val di Pesa (7 miles away from the villa): Halfway between Florence and Siena on the green hills of Chianti, it is one of the most historical places in Tuscany. The town has been able to preserve its natural beauty throughout the centuries, surrounded by nature, achieving a balanced development through a knowledgeable use of local resources and its patrimony of unique sceneries, architecture, art and culture that make up the perfect combination for a unique holiday in Italy. Florence (17 miles away): The city lays on the banks of the Arno River and is worldwide known for its history and the importance it gained during the Middle Age as well as during the Renaissance period. The capital of Italy’s Tuscany region, Florence is home to many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture. One of its most iconic sights is the Duomo, a cathedral with a terracotta-tiled dome engineered by Brunelleschi and a bell tower by Giotto. The Galleria dell'Accademia displays Michelangelo’s “David” sculpture. The Uffizi Gallery exhibits Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus” and da Vinci’s “Annunciation.” Siena (30 miles away): Surrounded by olive groves and the vineyards of Chianti, Siena is one of the most beautiful cities in Tuscany. Set on the top of three hills, the city is crossed by large alleys and narrow streets. In the heart of the city stands Piazza del Campo, the most famous square in the world for the "Palio", the historical horse race that takes place twice a year on the 2nd of July and the 16th of August. The Duomo and Santa Maria della Scala are additional cultural landmarks for visitors. Few other geographical areas in the world can compete with Siena for the unique environment surrounding the town. San Gimignano (16 miles away): The towered city is considered a jewel of the medieval architecture in Italy. For this reason it was placed on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites List back in 1990. The ancient township, erected on a natural highland, appears today nested within high defensive walls and a distinguishing place thanks to the numerous towers which make the medieval town's skyline completely unique. San Gimignano gets credit for having been able to maintain these typical medieval elements; the high defensive towers erected by aristocratic families, and untouched over the centuries. This is a great fortune for San Gimignano, as many other Italian cities got their walls destroyed or replaced by more recent constructions throughout the centuries. **“City Tax” of € 1.50 per person per night applicable for a maximum of 7 nights during the period of March 1st to October 31st, is to be paid upon arrival as per the city's regulatory rules (kids under 14 are exempt).** **Conditions to hold weddings at the property** - The minimum chargeable rate during the high season (Early May-Mid October) would be for 7 nights. The usual minimum stay is 7 nights Saturday to Saturday, exceptions can be made to allow a shorter stay but the rate will remain for a 7 night stay. - The hiring of the villa’s preferred wedding planner is mandatory. - A wedding/event fee, for the permission to hold the wedding at the property with non-villa residents attending, would apply extra (the amount varies according to the final number of guests). - The maximum number of guests allowed for any wedding/event on the property is 25 people (16 villa residents + 9 external guests).

Twelve age 55+ friends and family from Denver, USA rented the Villa Paganello for a week. To our delight, the Villa was even more beautiful and wonderful than the photos and description. Villa Paganello is a stunning retreat tucked away in the beautiful hills of Tuscany with vineyards surrounding the property. Villa Paganello makes its own wine and it is delicious. The 8 bedroom/8 bathroom accommodations are spacious, spotless, and extremely well-appointed. One doesn’t have to leave the property to have a 5 star experience. The Villa is very well-equipped for cocktail and dining experiences in both indoor and outdoor settings. The pool area is very enjoyable and excellently maintained.
We are a well-traveled group and highly recommend this gem. Speaking of gems, Riccardo the owner and host was very attentive. A true gentleman, his kindness truly amazed us. He pays attention to detail and he cares if his guests are comfortable and have what is necessary to have a perfect vacation.
We all hope to return one day.

A Wonderful Time in Tuscany
My family and I spent 1 week at Il Paganello. The villa is even more beautiful than the photos. It's in a perfect location for daily excursions and is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards which make it a true Tuscan experience. The rooms are very spacious and easily accommodated my 15 family members. Riccardo was very helpful and quickly responded to any questions. Per Riccardo's recommendation we hired Cristina to cook dinners for us. She cooked us 5 outstanding meals and each dinner was a true dining delight and reflective of the Tuscan culture. Treat yourself to a wine tasting at the villa. It was fun as well as informative

Restful and luxurious setting
Comfortable and spacious accommodations. Plenty of room for our extended family to both separate for privacy and gather for meals and socialization. With Cristina as our chef, we enjoyed the luxury of authentic Tuscan cuisine without the hassle of food prep and cleanup. A truly memorable week!

Perfect Villa in Tuscany
We loved our stay at Il Paganello! Our family of 8 adults spent a week there in early July. The villa is stunning, as are the views. It’s clear this has been a passion project for Riccardo, the building has been restored with incredible details. Riccardo was a helpful host - providing an information booklet prior to arrival that helped us plan our activities and answered any questions we had about the Villa. We booked a private walking tour in Florence (only 35 minutes away), dinner at several nearby restaurants, a day of wine tasting and a cooking class at the Villa all before arriving. We especially loved our evening with Chef Christina cooking in the Villa’s kitchen and then enjoying the meal we made on the beautiful patio. The pool was perfect for hot afternoons. We went on a beautiful bike ride with On the Road in Chianti, also recommended by Riccardo. We used E bikes and the hills were no problem. On one of our last evening we enjoyed a wine and olive oil tasting on the property. We learned more about the Villa and the wine produced there. Il Paganello is a special place and we hope to return someday. Thank you Riccardo for an incredible family trip.

Beautiful Villa but some complaints...
The Villa truly is stunning! It's unfortunate that we had so many problems or this would have easily been a 5 star review. We were not informed until AFTER booking that we would have to pay an additional fee per day for heat! The charge was extremely high, which we shouldn't even be paying for in the first place. Heat is not optional!!! The WiFi connection was terrible and unusable. There were only 6 of us staying in the Villa but the hot water ran out every single morning while we were showering. The description makes it seem like it's very close to Florence and it's not. Good luck getting a taxi to take you all the way out. We had to hire a private driver and it was taking 35-45 minutes to get into the City. We would highly recommend to the owner that he charge for the cleaning upfront instead of during check out. We were left with another large bill upon checkout - for heat, cleaning, and city tax - didn't exactly leave a great taste in our mouth upon leaving. Would have been easy to forget about if we paid it upfront. Speaking of the cleaning charge, the fee was extreme especially considering that the check out instructions per the owner require us to basically clean the place up ourselves.

A stunning villa in Tuscany!
This villa is exceptionally beautiful and well located to do day trips all over Tuscany. The rooms and bathrooms are exquisite and you have plenty of space to spread out. We were a group of 14 and we had plenty of space to have our own piece and quiet. It as was a little cooler when we were there, so we didn't use the pool, but the various outdoor patios are so nice to enjoy a glass of wine and look out into the countryside.
I would highly recommend this place for a group stay, plus you get to sample their own estate wine and olive oil.

A Very Special Place Under The Tuscan Sun
My family, friends and I recently celebrated my 50th birthday at Il Paganello and it was the perfect place! The Villa has plenty of space with tastefully decorated rooms and big bathrooms. The outdoor living areas provided for a quiet place to read or cocktails for 15 of us as we watched the sunset. Riccardo was a wonderful host who looked after anything we needed and was always attentive and quick to respond. He recommended chef Alessio Sedran for our birthday celebration and it was an unforgettable meal.
I would highly recommend this beautiful spot set in the Tuscan hills to anyone looking for a memorable experience.

Beautiful Villa and beautiful area
We had a group of 14 ladies in the Villa week of Sept 5th. It was a wonderful Villa and we all enjoyed our stay. Our host Riccardo did a wine tasting for our group with the wines from his vineyards. We enjoyed our stay and will be coming back again. Location is perfect between Florence and Siena and was easy access to many other Tuscan villages. We had everything we needed including air conditioning in the Bedrooms which was a necessity for this warm week in Sept. We have used many Villas in this area and this is my favorite. I would recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful setting. great rooms, attentive owner, friendly staff.
This villa far exceeded our expectations. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our entire family and it was a dream come true. The property is very large and gave all members of our family an opportunity to relax and do thier own activities. The mornings were crip and clear with beautiful views of vineyards and olive trees. The sunsets were delightful as we all joined together for drinks, appetizers and dinners. The day of our anniversary our meal was catered by Cristina, a wonderfull chef who prepared a fabulous menu that everyone enjoyed. The entrees were homemade and cooked on the spot. She even gave our teeanage grandsons savory recipes to practice at home. Riccardo was an outstanding host. When we arrived, he showed us the house, told us about its history, invited us for wine tasting and then with a smile took us into the kitchen where he had placed a huge bouquet of white roses. What a gift that was!! I recommend this place for an unforgetable vacation. It was truly a blessing to be able to stay at Il Paganello.for our celebration.

Spectacular!
There’s not enough to say about our week in this beautiful villa. Newly renovated, w/8 large bedrooms (each w/bath). We had a reunion with 10 people and it was one of the best vacations we have every had. We travel the world and this is one place I highly recommend. Riccardo’s hospitality was 5 star as well. He ensured that we were always comfortable and needed nothing. We had almost 40 bottles of his wine and olive oil. Needless to say, we loved it and had several bottles shipped to the USA. He recommended a chef that came to the villa to cook for us. Food was wonderful. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave them. We will definitely return! Ciao
