Lovely garden. Modernised bathroom and toilet with thoughtful placement of heater. But not welcoming, warm or able to walk front to back on one level. (Steps bed and toilet. Warm bed. No firewood found a couple of semi burnt bits. Was disappointed

Safe yard for pet.

The property is clean and convenient. The stay would have been enhanced if wood and kindling had been provided, a hand washer or face cloth was missing although linen was provided, and there was no body wash in the shower. Just small things that would meet ordinary expectations. Elizabeth was responsive and easy to deal with.

Second stay and we will be back. Great place and lovely authentic charm. Thank you

Not the pretty quaint cottage we had hoped for.
Every thing looked a bit sad and was provided for ticking a box not for making it pretty and homely And what happened to the bath which wss shown in the photos?
Also the note on the fridge was not a good welcome to the cottage.and why do the cupboards need padlocks?
We have owned and stayed in several period properties and unfortunately this one was a bit of a disappointment.

The cottage was very comfortable, snug and well equipped. The yard was great for our dog. The bathroom was a bit of a challenge having to step up into the bath to access the shower. A photo of this on the website would be helpful. The location is fantastic, a very short walk into Blackheath. Overall it was a very convenient and comfortable place for a short break.

A quaint cottage in a quiet location , well located for exploring the Blue Mountains. Comfy beds and plenty of heating on a cold night. Local shops and cafes a 10 minute walk away. Good sized fenced rear and front gardens for your fur baby.

Lovely little cottage. Very clean. Pretty garden. Would be nice to have some wood already there for the fire. Would also be great to have a coffee machine, even if basic. Close to town. Good communication with manager. Thanks!

Our second visit to this quaint little mountain cottage close to the township of Blackheath. We will be back again.

My friend and I both thought the place was a tad over rated! The absolutely glowing reviews I read came from people who obviously have taken their pets.We appreciate the fact that this is a miner's cottage and we love historical buildings however the back section with the exception of the bathroom needs updating. Last year we stayed at Val Dor's little cottage and gave it an overall excellent rating but it wasn't available.

Small home on southern side of the railway line at Blackheath in a quiet street. Well equipped but in need on some handyman work. Nonetheless quite OK for a short stay at a reasonable cost.

The place was beautiful and equipped with everything you need to stay warm. Short walk into the town center and felt safe walking at night. Make sure to bring your toiletries.

Inadequate photos of internal features. Needed major renovations:particularly toilet, door closures, heating. Creaking floor surfaces. Access gates for car were extremely awkward to open. Bath and shower access were dangerous for any mature person.

This was a awesome place to stay…how lovely to find an authentic miners cottage set in a beautiful garden with large trees and a grassy lawn….it rained the entire time which for me made the experience even more romantic and mystical. Would love to stay again! Highly recommended

House was full of character with some antique pieces.
Great location, only 5 min. walk to shops and cafes.
Comfy bed and good back yard for our small dog.
Thanks for a memorable stay.

The cottage is cute, very clean and has what you need for a home away from home. It's about a 5 minute walk to the local shops. It was a chilly summer weekend when we visited, but the air conditioning worked well and the electric blankets were still on the beds so we were comfortable. We had the same experience mentioned by others of water escaping the shower, despite our efforts to avoid it. There is also a large/high step into the tub which could be a challenge for someone with mobility issues (there is a hand rail to assist). Overall a nice place to stay.

We loved this little place, we walked our dogs to some very cute cafes and there are great dog friendly walks through the mountains to try out too. the house has everything you need and is very cute and the bathroom has been done up great, i want to do the same with my own bathroom now lol. Great spot for people with dogs looking for a dog friendly house in a dog friendly holiday destination with amazing food in every direction.

New bathroom, good size fridge, good heating and cooling system, fully equipped kitchen, close to almost everywhere and comfortable beds. We've immensely enjoyed our stay.
