Historic neighborhood
The apartment itself is charming, with original trim and character. The neighborhood is full of gorgeous old houses being renovated, which is wonderful to see. The property manager was professional, responsive, and organized.
The reason I can't give it five stars is that a family lives in the downstairs half of the building. They have a baby and a dog and all of them were awake until after midnight both nights I stayed here. It's a very old house and sound carries, even their footsteps downstairs. The property manager was kind and understanding and issued a partial refund. I'd stay here again if I weren't too concerned about noise, but my purpose for the stay was to escape my own dog and kids for a few days.
Overall, I'd recommend it because the property manager is fantastic, and the apartment itself is cute and in an easily accessible neighborhood. It would be nice if they'd replace the uncomfortable furniture in the front room but it doesn't ruin the stay. If you're used to the sound of close neighbors, then this place is fantastic.

Above it all
Historic neighborhood on a rise, quiet and quaint, close to what you need and host was the right amount of communicative. Too cold outside to enjoy porch much, but a nice extra in warmer weather. Flat was nice and cosy with e fireplace and cute touches. Kitchen has what you need and bathroom is very cute.

I am really torn about the review I'm about to write, especially considering the prior (overwhelmingly positive) reviews that I read before I booked. The reservation and check-in process was super smooth, the listing was accurate, and the neighborhood is so cute! It's convenient to the airport and downtown, the houses in this area are all over 100 years old and the architecture was really neat to be a part of.
There were, however, some parts of our stay that just knocked off a couple stars. The apartment itself is spacious, and while the baseboard heaters can be tricky if you've never used them before, they did a more than okay job heating up the place, as did the fireplace. The bed in the room with one bed was comfortable, but it was SO squeaky, it kept us up and woke us up - every time the other person moved, it squeaked like crazy - not sure if it was the frame, the springs, or both. The large bed in the other room was the same. Comfortable, but incredibly disruptive to sleep with another person in the bed with you. There was also someone's clothing and shoes in both closets, and in the dresser which was a first for me in a VRBO - we felt weird unpacking into partially filled closets so we didn't. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and pots and pans, but it also had a decent amount of food in the cupboard, fridge and freezer....wasn't sure how old it was or if it was meant for us?
The couch and chair in the living room were decent but not super comfortable; the owner said she has new furniture coming in, so hopefully most of these issues will be addressed.
Due to the age of the house, our floor squeaked with almost every step we took, so we tried to tiptoe around out of courtesy for the downstairs neighbor. Unfortunately, we heard every step she took, every door she closed, every chair she moved. And toward the end of the week, a dog arrived downstairs and he was very loud, barking mostly in the evening and late at night.
All in all....the price was right, for sure. The location was super convenient, but I think we were mostly disappointed with the amount of noise coming from the house itself and the downstairs neighbor - we had picked a VRBO over a downtown hotel to have a quiet Spokane experience and didn't feel we got that, unfortunately.

First time
This was a girls getaway, and it was perfect. I don't think I will be staying at motels now. Loved the homey feel of this place. Great neighborhood. Very easy to rent from her.

Perfect for a family of 4
My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this 2nd floor apartment. It was located in a nice neighborhood with a great breakfast food truck within walking distance. The apartment was clean and the beds/couches were comfy. The owner was very easy to work with and responded quickly to questions. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Stay
This is a classic property in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown! The apartment is very well furnished, with many nice extra touches. The owners definitely go above and beyond. They were very nice and helpful. The beds were both comfortable. It's a short drive from downtown or a ~15minute walk. We were really happy with our stay. The deck was a major plus- what a peaceful sanctuary :)

Clean, Safe, Comfortable
Just what we needed for just two of us! Nice neighborhood, felt safe. Very clean apartment, comfortable beds.
Only suggestion is to have some instructions on working the lock, heaters and television. Thanks for a great stay!

Great host, nice place!
We enjoyed this conveniently-located, clean, and beautiful apartment. Our host, Catherine, was really wonderful. She communicated clearly everything we needed to know in a timely manner, and even recommended a great restaurant nearby that we tried and liked. Getting in to the place was easy and convenient. The beds were very comfortable. There were delicious chocolates left out for us on the coffee table. The kitchen is big with a nice table. It would be nice to have one or two more chairs at the table, but we made it work to play cards. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is <15 minutes from the airport, and <10 minutes from the convention center and downtown. It was perfect for us, who are 3 singles, because we each could have our own real bed. No one had to sleep on a fold-out couch...you get this if you are an older single person:)
