One of New Orleans' most unique vacation lodging properties: the Engine 24 French Quarter Firehouse Bed & Breakfast... one of the few VRBO properties that is licensed by the City of New Orleans for Bed & Breakfasts! (City license #296992) Stay in an authentic historic firehouse while enjoying the modern amenities of this renovated gem. We are located in the heart of the Faubourg Marigny, considered by many travel magazines to be one of America's hot neighborhoods. Next door is the French Quarter, one of the most historic and charming areas anywhere. And to the other side is the hip, funky Bywater, a neighborhood which, like the Faubourg Marigny, features great local eateries and cool bars. Our bed & breakfast is a restored fire station designed to function as a comfortable home away from home for tourists and locals alike to come and enjoy the vibrant culture that is New Orleans. Formerly, this historic building housed Engine 24 of the New Orleans Fire Department! Local architect William Sonner purchased and renovated the Firehouse in the 2000s and it's now one of the city's most popular vacation rentals! The Firehouse has three units...the Main Floor, the Penthouse and the Townhouse. Combined, they sleep 14 people comfortably and with lots of privacy. The three units provide a place that is perfect for getaways with friends, family gatherings, etc. Our three units are always rented together so all guests can enjoy the Firehouse. The Firehouse has two large private living areas and a newly renovated New Orleans courtyard with fountain, outdoor seating and more. Please remember that the Firehouse is a lodging facility. Any special events, parties, receptions, etc. must be agreed to by the facility manager and extra fee(s) will apply. Please note: The Firehouse is a very popular building and usually books weeks or months in advance. We're often in phone or email contact with multiple groups for the same dates. The building is so cool and the neighborhood is ideal! Not too close and not too far from all the action. There is plenty of space so a big group never feels cramped. Beth was a great communicator! We had a wonderful time.

This stay met all our expectations! My husband and I were celebrating our 40th birthday in NOLA and I always wanted to stay here. We had 13 guests total and it was more space than expected. It's about 15-25 minute walk to well known attractions such as Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, and the French Market. The host was very responsive in my questions and also gave great recommendations on activities, bars, and restaurants near by. There were parades scheduled the weekend we visited and passed through just one street over. It was such a fun experience! If you are looking for a rental to hosts 10-14 guests, I would definitely recommend this unique property.

Nothing but great things to say about my stay at the firehouse. Had a group of 13 people and there was more than enough room for everyone. Private courtyard was a plus. Great location to walk to all sorts of things that NOLA has to offer

My group of friends was in town for our college reunion and this place was perfect. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which worked out well for our groups of couples. The place itself was so cool and cutely decorated for fall/Halloweeen. The location was an easy walk to Frenchman Street and very close to some cute cafes & restaurants. We loved our stay at the firehouse!

We highly enjoyed our stay at the Firehouse. The space was perfect for a group of 13. Everyone had their own bathroom and there was plenty of common space for us to hang out. The neighborhood is very cute - a short (20 ish minute) walk to Bourbon Street if that’s where you’re headed. Overall, would stay here again!

We had an amazing weekend here! The location was great and the house was perfect. All of the bedrooms were clean, the kitchen was stocked with coffee and water, and the space was great for games and hanging out. Beth was wonderful and accommodating our our travel schedule for check in and check out.

We had the most wonderful weekend at Beth's property - the firehouse is such an interesting and cool space with true NOLA history! Very spacious with multiple areas that allowed our group to convene comfortably or have private space. Beds and rooms were comfortable and the house was well appointed - each room has a bathroom! Beth was such a helpful host answering all our questions swiftly and allowing us early check in. The location was close and easy between French Quarter and The Marigny/Bywater. I would absolutely recommend to a group looking for a spacious and fun house in New Orleans!

I can not begin to express how amazing our stay was. Beth was extremely accommodating and made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. Her attention to detail and professionalism made our stay wonderful. The Firehouse was immaculate and even better than we expected. Staying in such a historic building was unreal. YOU HAVE TO RECREATE THE PICTURE OF THE ORIGINAL FIREMEN FROM STATION 24. Even if you only have a few people, it is definitely a bucket list attraction when visiting NOLA. We had people out front taking pictures of the Firehouse daily. It really is an amazing once in a lifetime place to stay. The area around the firehouse is great, A nice locally owned coffee and breakfast shop and a neighborhood market with everything you will need for your stay. Undoubtedly worth every penny…

We had a great time at the fire house. The house has beautiful high ceilings and so much space - it was great for a big group. We had great weather too and got to enjoy the courtyard too. It was absolute perfection! Beth was super responsive and helpful with local recommendations. I can’t say enough good things about the experience!

We could not have asked for a more wonderful experience. The house is even bigger than advertised and it was walking distance to everything we wanted to see in the French Quarter. We did not need a single taxi the entire time we were there. Beth was a wonderful host, and I would give 6 stars if I could.

This place is fantastic for a group. We stayed here with our wedding party for our wedding. It was a great place for a small group of adults. Every bedroom has its own bathroom and there are multiple solid hangout spots. Really cool decor and feel. Good location a short walk to Frenchman and a medium walk to the french quarter.

The property was fantastic! We had 7 couples gathered for a weekend celebration for our sons wedding in New Orleans and the property was perfect! We all had our own space but we had plenty of room to hang out, catch up, have fun and just relax. Plenty of bathrooms and space for us all to get ready for several formal events. Well outfitted with hair drivers, lots of towels etc. the property was AMAZING and so much fun!

This place is amazing! We were there for four nights fo my 80th birthday celebration and it brought together family from different parts of the country. There were 13 of us staying in the house. Our children and grandchildren. Everyone raved about it. It had wonderful gathering rooms, but also provided privacy. The only thing to know is if you can’t do stairs this is not the place for you. Fortunately none of our group had any problem with that. The rooms were lovely and decorated artistically keeping with the firehouse theme. Beth, the manager was super and helpful with any questions we had. She was able to adjust the thermostat remotely as soon as we asked. We definitely give Engine 24 Firehouse five stars. The kitchen was fully equipped and we prepared several meals there!

My party was staying with a mix of family and friends for my sister’s bachelorette weekend and the firehouse was PERFECT! Lots of cute, walkable bars, coffee shops, etc. It was an easy walk to the French Market. The room layout was perfect, everyone had the appropriate amount of privacy. I absolutely recommend this house for anyone traveling to Nola with a decent number of guests. Beth was also SO easy to work with and was easily reachable.

The Firehouse was an amazing space to celebrate with 12 friends for my 30th birthday. First, it's located in a quieter but still incredibly cool neighborhood that you might otherwise skip over if you've never been to New Orleans that is 100% worth spending some time in. As far as the space goes, there's a bathroom for every bedroom, there are multiple large gathering spaces for the group and still room to find some privacy. Beth was honestly one of the most stellar hosts we've ever had, and the Firehouse truly was a great backdrop for an incredible celebration week.

Everything about this property exceeded my expectations. There was tons of room for our group of 11. It was great having private rooms and bathrooms. The courtyard was great to hang out in. We also loved playing pool and listening to records in the upstairs living space. The house was well stocked with supplies. It was such a unique place to stay. We were able to walk to Bourbon Street and Frenchman Street. There are also great spots located in the neighborhood. The property manager was kind and easy to get a hold of. This was one the best VRBO experiences I have had.

Great time was had by all 14 guests. Check in was smooth, access to the property was very well set up and simple. Had an issue with the Wi-Fi that was corrected without a hick up. What a unique place. Next one in our group to turn 70, we will come back. 5 Stars for Beth !!

My family and friends enjoyed an amazing couples trip at the firehouse! The house is great for groups with at least three common areas for talking and hanging out. The neighborhood is great area to walk in with a lot of hidden gems.

Engine 24 was an excellent place. The property was clean, conveniently located near the French Quarter, grocery stores, restaurants, bars, etc. Beth was responsive and a pleasure to work with. There were various kinds of potato chips coffees waiting for us. Plenty of rooms for guests to congregate and mingle or spread out for some private time. Would highly recommend this place for large groups.
