About this house rental
Nestled in Lake Wylie, this attractive house for R 23,523 per night is a great choice for your next break. This is an Amazing Lake House! Easily accommodates your family. All new beds and luxury bedding, towels, etc. Spacious kitchen. Kids will want to be in the huge pool all day. Adults will enjoy the spa. The layout is great for entertaining or just relaxing. 6,000sf consisting of 8 bedrooms on 4 floors each with a living room and a wall mounted TV. We have a spacious and inviting entryway that doubles as a 2nd dining room for larger families, a master suite with his and her bathrooms, a large kitchen with double ovens. It is fully stocked. or really just order pizza. Supersized wall mounted TV in living room (floor 2). An adult floor with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, veranda, and living room and laundry room with new high end washer/dryer (floor 3). A kid floor with play area, TV, tepee, games, a barn for little ones, etc. One room has 2 bunk beds the other "kid" room has 2 Queen beds and a pull out sofa (floor 4). Finished basement opens to the pool, indoor eating area, outdoor picnic area, kitchenette with refrigerator, sink, microwave, toaster and has a queen bed, twin daybed and sofa (floor 1). Exercise room with Sauna. The oversized 2 car finished garage is currently being used for ping pong, video arcade games, regulation pool table , 3-hole putt putt, foosball, giant jenga, and has a second new washer/dryer set. Outdoor in-ground basketball hoop. Did we mention kids? Love them! Don't leave them home they'll miss out on a vacation of a lifetime. Spectacular Main channel view of Lake Wylie. Amazing outdoor entertaining with large paver patio around pool, chaise lounges, sandy beach, huge yard, 3 boat dock with a lift, 3 spacious verandas on floors 1, 2 &3. 5 minute drive to Lake Wylie restaurants or 3 min in your boat or rent ours. New pontoon. Grocery stores are 5 minute away This is a vacation rental so we don’t allow Weddings or parties. Family reunions OK. No HS youth groups or college parties. Holidays have a surcharge. Also the pool and hot tub can be heated for $100 per day. Discuss payment options with owner. We gladly rent our new pontoon boat. Floor 1 is handicap accessible with full bathroom (shower) and queen bed and a twin daybed and sofa. Please see pics to see property overview and decor! Extra intensive Special Cleaning procedures during this COVID time includes airing out of the home, deep cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces and counter tops. If you are sick or a family member is sick please call immediately and we will re-schedule you for a better time. If you are fearful of COVID and NC, SC please contact me and we will re-schedule for a later time when you feel more comfortable. Sheets and towels are bleached, and all linens are cleaned! We had a wonderful stay, and Christmas, at the property. Rick and his family could not have been more accommodating and easy to work with. We can't wait to come back during the warmer months to enjoy the pool and lake!

A group of friends stayed in this beautiful spacious home for a long weekend for our annual Ladies Retreat. Rick and Karen are wonderful hosts. Communication was prompt and responsive. The home has everything needed to spend a day out on the water, an evening sitting by the firepit or in the hot tub, a rainy day in the gameroom, or an afternoon nap on one of the many porches. The kitchen is fully stocked. You only need to bring food. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Charlotte, and are appreciative of the hospitality providing guests with everything needed for a comfortable and memorable stay.

Family from 5 states got together to celebrate our Uncle's 90th birthday! We looked for a place large enough with a sufficient number of bedrooms and baths and this property "fit the bill"! It is a beautiful home with plenty of activities to keep us entertained. All the stairs were a challenge for our guest of honor but the rest of us old folks managed! Rick was very gracious and accommodating, would recommend this home to others needing room for many people.

WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND THE PROPERTY WAS PERFECT. a FEW PLACES NEEDED TO BE CLEANED, AND THE PROPERTY MANAGER WAS ON TOP OF IT TO SEND IN PROPER CREW TO CLEAN IT. OVERALL, WE HAD A BLAST.

The house is HUGE, and even better than the description. Plenty of room for our whole extended family, and plenty of things to keep everyone entertained. The host was very responsive and helpful as well. A great place - We hope to come back soon!

The house is huge, upon arrival, it was fairly clean. The first two stories were very cool, the 3rd and 4th levels were very warm 84’. I contacted the owner, he called someone who responded first thing the next morning, he said there was nothing he could do, it was the unit in the house. There were two portable units, one worked the other did not, so it stayed hot on the 3rd and 4th levels. We had a few other problems, but, the owners were very attentive, very fair with adjusting the price. This is a great house, the owners are very attentive. Know the 3rd and 4th levels will be very warm. The pool is great, had a great time on the jet ski. The boat was not running very well, it was taken for service. All in all (other than the 3rd and 4th level being 84’) we had a great time.

This house was perfect for our family! There were so many excellent areas we could gather together in whatever size group was coalescing at the moment. We loved the numerous amenities. The double oven was great for our big meals. There were lots of pots and pans and even a couple instapots!
We brought 2 kayaks so we were able to take out a veritable flotilla with the included paddleboard, canoe and kayaks. There was every size of life vest for the members who didn’t bring their own. And so many outdoor options from pool volleyball to bocce to ladder golf... We spent many hours on the 2nd floor porch playing cards, board games, reading, sharing stories, eating homemade ice cream and sorbet (3 different batches), homemade bread (kitchen island was great), birthday cake and generally loving life. The kids adored the big pool and the game room. We hooked a laptop up to the TV in the living room and did family slideshows at night.
We used the firepit the last night for smores, fireworks watching (across the river to the left and right of Papa Docs), and philosophical discussion.
Rick was excellent to work with and it was a fantastic week! We made lots a great family memories. Thanks for sharing your house!

We really enjoyed our time this week! Everyone was able to relax comfortably, there was plenty of room. We loved all the games, the pool, and the access to kayaks. We had a wonderful time together as a family in this beautiful home. Thank you!

This is a great property and Rick is a great host. Plenty of room for a large group and ample living space on each floor. The kitchen is well equipped and all the bathrooms well stocked. Rick responded quickly to any questions we had. A nasty winter storm made the game room too cold to use, but it looks like it would be a lot of fun in warmer weather. All in all, a great stay.

Great place to gather with family ages 11 weeks to 58 years! The pool was great. The game room, fire pit, and pool were enjoyed by all! Outside deck area was great, though partially under construction. The double-wide and long driveway easily accommodated multiple cars. Having dinner on the deck while watching the fire pit burn down for s’mores was also a treat.

Rick and Karen are wonderful hosts and their lake house had everything we needed for a fantastic girls weekend! Their property sits right on Lake Wylie and offered plenty of indoor and outdoor activities. The beds were super comfortable and the house had everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be back!!

We had an amazing time, the house was perfect for all 14 of us. Our kids and were in the pool non stop everyday, we rented the boat as well and it was awesome. We never had to leave the "resort" except to get groceries which was awesome and gave us great family time together! The kids also fished off the dock and caught tons of fish and the sunsets are amazing. Rick was awesome to work with always answering our request. I highly recommend this property and hope to come back to it soon!!! Thanks again Rick for everything!!!

The house had everything we needed. We loved the porches, pool, game room/garage and dock. We rented at the end of the season, and maybe that's why everything had suffered wear and tear compared with the online photos. We didn't mind, because we had kids of all ages and didn't have to be too fussy, and we were perfectly comfortable. All in all a great vacation.

First Family vacation not at the beach.
We enjoyed our stay. We have been doing family vacations for
almost 20 years so as our family grows we have to look for bigger houses. This house was very comfortable and we enjoyed all the amenities. The location was beautiful and kids enjoyed the pool and boat very much.

Family friend getaway
My husband and I reside in NC and wanted to have a weekend with some friends and family somewhere that wasn’t our home. We booked Ricks property and from start to finish had an amazing time. The weather was perfect for enjoying the heated outdoor pool. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed to cook and the game room was stocked with extra things for us to do in case we were to get bored. We all had a blast and everyone ( 15 ppl) had plenty of options for comfortable sleeping arrangements. I will definitely be doing this again someday soon

Had a great time. Everyone enjoyed all the amenities provided in the house. Heated pool was good, since it got chilly in the evenings. Enjoyed boat rides on the lake. We played pool, ping-pong and other games in the garage. Overall, a fun place to hang out with friends and family.

Common spaces were great for gatherings...dining table expanded with a fold out to seat 14 comfortably and it was easy to add chairs to the living spaces when we wanted to get everyone together. Kitchen really does have everything you could need including a coffee grinder and mixer! Bedrooms were nice with the master suite amazing. Beds ranged in mattress type and firmness, which was good for picky folks to get what they wanted. Plenty of towels and nice laundry.
Rick was the most responsive and accommodating host I've ever had with a vrbo rental and I've rented through vrbo 20+ times. He was friendly and clear in all communication.
It is a great property at a reasonable price.

I asked the owner to give me 24 hours to coordinate the other families. Within 2 hours, we all agreed it would be the perfect house for us and we weren't disappointed. We loved the 3 living areas, garage game room, plenty of bedrooms, extra table space, 3 refrigerators, the pool, hot tub (aka kiddie pool), palm trees, firepit, beautiful dock and the pontoon boat. The kitchenette off the pool was perfect for grabbing lunch and heading back outside. There were lots of pool toys, games and puzzles for inside time. The playroom upstairs was perfect for the little ones and the flat lot was perfect for the older adults. We got a workout running the stairs on the 4 floors but no one seemed to mind. The neighborhood was gorgeous and we loved the playground 2 blocks away. The best part... no sand to clean off after a day of outside fun! The sunsets were beautiful and we loved fishing off the dock- especially the night we caught the 30 inch catfish! We hope to schedule another vacation soon at Steele Creek!
