About this house rental
Located in Lake Gaston, this lovely house for R 9,183 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Our home sits in a large, quiet cove just 100 yards off the Main Lake. With over 160' of decked bulk headed waterfront, a 1400 square foot double boat house with fish cleaning station and sunning dock. You have everything you need to enjoy the sun and fun outdoors including 2 kayaks, a paddle board, fishing poles and built in rod holder at the dock. Feel free to park your boat beside our boat house or inquire about our pontoon rental. The water at the dock is perfect for swimming, floating, and relaxing. Water level gradually deepens from 1-2 feet at the edge up to 4-5 foot water depth at the end of the dock, perfect for the little ones to play and learn to swim. We are ten minutes from the Food Lion & other amenities. It is a quick boat ride to the restaurants, marinas, Goat Island and the Eaton Ferry Bridge where the sunset views are amazing! The summertime offers many activities in local towns such as movie nights and free concerts on the weekends in Littleton. This little town has a lot to offer with lots of small restaurants and businesses to check out! The house offers a large yard in both the front and rear, perfect for outdoor games and evening bonfires in the fire pit (firewood is not provided). There is a large covered porch with plenty of seating that offers beautiful views, a TV and has a full outdoor bathroom on the lake side of the home. There's even a small seasonal herb garden to enjoy! The first floor hosts the livingroom/dining area with seating for up to 20 people, as well as 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a half bath. The first bedroom is a queen with a half bath and the second bedroom has a king sized bed. There are 5 bedrooms on the second floor with 4 king beds, 4 twins and 1 double bed. All of the bedrooms have smart TV's. The game room is located on second floor which provides a Foosball table and Playstation 3 with games. There are also 2 additional full bathrooms upstairs. Wi-Fi and Cable services throughout. 70” TV in living room, 55” TV in other living area. Wood stove not available for use. Dogs considered for $150. Pontoon is also available for rental!

We needed a property to accommodate our family Christmas. The house was great, everyone had comfortable sleeping arrangements, plenty of social space and spacious kitchen for prepping meals. Alan communicated often and very helpful.

2 families vacationing for 3 years together on Lake Gaston, different house each year and THIS is the winning house! We will be coming back again in 2024. Well-stocked and updated Kitchen (with granite countertops you’ll covet!), ample living area and large TV for movie nights. Enough beds, bedrooms, and bathrooms, and ALL are tastefully decorated and comfortable. Large dock area for hanging out and swimming. Very nice fire pit next to lake area with plenty of seating. And Veranda for morning coffees also with plenty of seating. It was a delightful stay. The owner, Alan, was very helpful and incredibly responsive. Unanimous 5-Star stay from 10 adults, which is rare.

A great place for having fun and making family memories. From our 3 year old granddaughter to my 80 year old sister,everyone had a wonderful time. Everything needed for cooking meals was in the kitchen. The property was exactly as described. Hope to stay again.

Had a wonderful time. House is great; fit our large group of 14 very well. New kitchen with 2 refrigerators, large pantry, separate ice machine and very well equipped. Dining table seats 20 and is great. Lake was wonderful. One side of boat house is dedicated to fishing, the other has a dock the kids loved jumping off while the adults floated as well as a seating area. Swim shoes are a must for the shallow area. Pontoon boat was a great add-on. Would highly recommend this house. Owner was also great to deal with.

This property was nothing less than amazing. The homeowner was the best I have ever encountered. He responds promptly, he was very attentive and accommodating the entire stay, his home was prepared with Xmas decorations and a tree. The home had a full kitchen of appliances, blankets, beds, cleaning supplies, etc. All I can say is this home met every expectation we had. If you have never stayed in this home you are missing out. My family and I will definitely be back to enjoy the summer festivities 2023 because we could not enjoy the outdoor activities and lake due to the weather. Thank you for having us

Fantastic time. Property is in a great location on the Lake. The owner is very responsive. Neighbors are great. Look forward to a return as our group of retired military get together one week a year to fish. Perfect getaway
For years we went to OBX. This year we decided we were going to give #lakelife a try and man did it ever exceed our expectations. This house has everything you need and then some. Most importantly it has the space for our large family to be together but not on top of each other. The huge dining room table is an amazing feature. We were able to fit our entire crew of 16 all at once for each meal - very cool. The back deck is the perfect place to go chill out after a meal or while sipping coffee in the morning. The dock is incredible and is where we spent most of our time. The water amenities (kayaks, paddle board, paddle boat, noodles, floats, etc) are a huge plus as it gave everyone something extra to do. We brought our own floating mat and I highly recommend that to anyone with kids because they will stay entertained on it for hours. We hit the local putt putt golf and ice cream shop and both were great. We got take out twice and the food was delicious. The fire pit is where we ended every night and is the perfect chill spot to wind the evening down. The ice maker is an amazing addition because it saved us from having to make daily ice runs. Alan is a wonderful host. He was super responsive and very helpful. We met him and his wife as we were finishing packing up and they could not have been more pleasant. The neighbors beside them are also very nice and a joy to talk to when we saw them. All-in-all I give it a 10/10, would recommend to anyone but especially those with larger families and already looking forward to re-booking for next year! Thank you Alan!

We borrowed my uncles boat for the trip but, ended up buying a boat while we were there! We stayed on the lake most of the time and enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding and skiing! Amazing vacation
Over the past 4 years my wife and other family and friends have vacationed in the Outter Banks this year we wanted to do something new by coming to lake Gaston and it was the perfect vacation a beautiful home with beautiful surroundings if you have a love for the water and outdoors lake Gaston is the place to be between the kayaks and paddleboat and long board we couldn't stay away from the lake my wife and I had never been kayaking before we enjoyed it so much withing 24 hours of returning home we purchased two kayaks for ourselves I would like to send a special thank you Alan for his gracious hospitality and for allowing to call his home our home for a week we had planned on bringing our boat bus wasnt able to due to it being in the shop for repairs Alan allowed us to rent his pontoon so we could still enjoy the lake this was an amazing experience and we loved every moment of it so much that we have booked again for 2022 and are very excited to go back thanks again Alan for all you did we cant wait to come back

Awesome Family Reunion Spot
I brought my whole extended family (8 adults & 8 kids) for our annual family get together. According to my kids, it was the best place we have been to. It was so good that we have already booked it for next year. It has enough space so that you could find peace and quiet, even with a full house. We spent most of our time by the lake. The kids loved playing in the water, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, etc. Even with the rain, the playroom upstairs and the huge covered porch gave plenty of space. There are tons of board games and movies. Super peaceful and relaxing week. A couple tips: 1) if you want to catch catfish, use a pool noodle rig with chicken liver and place them about 30 feet off the end of the dock. Every evening they were biting. 2) If there is something you really want to do, make sure you bring your own equipment, or confirm with the owner that it is available. Previous renters broke the pool cues.

Best Lake House Vacay
We loved our stay at this lake house! This is my families 3rd year coming to Lake Gaston. It’s a traditional big family vacation consisting of my family, my parents, my siblings and their families, as well as my aunt and cousins family. This is by far the best, most accommodating house we have stayed in! Plenty of room for everyone. Easy access to the big part of the lake. Close to grocery store. Great communication with the owner!!! We are definitely making this an annual place to stay for years to come!!!

The place was absolutely perfect for our extended family escape from 3 months of Covid quarantine. We brought 2 Grandmas who rarely left the front porch and had the time of their lives watching their children and grandchildren in the beautiful water!

Amazing lake house!
This property was incredible! The house was clean and the layout made it easy for our big family to enjoy each other's company. We spent most of the time in the kitchen cooking or hanging out around the massive dining room table. We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boat on the lake and had a blast around the fire pit. The wrap around deck and spacious backyard gave our two dogs plenty of space to play. Most of all, the owner, Alan, was unbelievably helpful throughout the whole process and responded immediately to any of our questions. Thank you, Alan for sharing your home with us and we look forward to coming back again.

Relaxation!
This property was better than described! Plenty of water toys at the dock to keep busy. We all learned how to paddle board and kayak. The dock is in a large cove so there aren’t big waves from the power boats on the main lake, but lots of room to explore.
The house was clean and spacious. The kitchen had all of the items that we needed to cook for a crowd.
The owners were quick to communicate with us before, during and after the visit. We enjoyed meet in them at check in.
I won’t hesitate to recommend this rental or to come back myself. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

This is an ideal home for a family vacation. We had family from virginia beach, suffolk, and texas. Plenty of room for all. You could not ask for anything better; fishing on the dock, plenty of water toys, paddle boat , good size porch, dock for swimming, firepit for roasting s'mores with the grandkids just to name a few. Alan is an outstanding owner who takes pride in renting his home out. I know we are all planning on coming back next year

We loved the lake and the house!
This was everything we thought it would be and more. We loved the house and quickly saw it would be perfect for a future gathering of the entire family! We loved that there was plenty to do with the kayaks, paddle board and paddle boats as well as floats to just enjoy the water. We fished, swam, explored and just had the best week. Smores around the fire pit and the friendliest neighbors! Our dog swam for the 1st time and loved the lake as much as we did! We are already planning our next trip back! The owners are the best and they cared about our family! We can't wait to go back!
