Good location and service, but not the best for comfort.

Staff were lovely, location was good, food good

For the price a single bed with little cupboard space on the top floor was not comfortable. I would have expected more comfort for £190 especially as the property did not appear to be fully booked.

Perfect! Could not fault our stay.

Location was amazing, within walking distance of the town and close to nature reserve/forests to walk the dogs. Staff were all very helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. We had lunch and an evening meal there and was absolutely amazing.

Very nice breakfast - everything freshly prepared rather than selected from a buffet. Lovely quiet location. Comfy bed.

Would have liked a hook on the back of the door or near the door for hanging my coat.

Ideal overnight stay near Ludlow with excellent food

The food is excellent, exceeded our expectations for dinner and a great cooked breakfast. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk into the centre of Ludlow.

Has the potential to warm and welcoming.

Size of the room and bathroom were fine.

Noise levels; walls so thin you can hear conversation in neighbouring room. Service whilst polite wasn’t warm or welcoming. Felt like guests were a mild irritation rather than the main focus of the business.

Very disappointing-

All food was good and served by pleasant people.

The room was very disappointing. Hotel was entirely empty yet we were shown to a mediocre room on top attic floor. There was no shower . The pillows were lumpy . We felt the room was overpriced at 120. We felt the room was worth about 80. On leaving the bill was incorrect as it had a charge for a room upgrade which clearly was not the case. They did remove the charge.

As expected after many years staying here it was comfortable and friendly.

We love Ludlow and have stayed at the Cliffe on many occasions. We usually dine in the hotel but had another engagement in the town this time. The staff are always v helpful and friendly. I never consider staying anywhere else.

Good location near to town centre.

Breakfast was excellent and service very good.

The starters and main courses of the evening meals were poor. Some of the food was very salty and portions were small. Expensive for what it was. Wish there was a lift and more comfortable chairs in lounge.

Very nice, comfortable and quiet location.

I have stayed at this hotel some years ago and would say the breakfasts were better then, in that you could serve yourself to what you wanted. Location is superb which is why I chose it.

Ludlow is a stunning place and well worth a visit

Spotlessly clean, beautiful location

The lack of a bar during the evening, once dinner service had finished the bar closed which was inconvenient as the hotel is quite a walk out of town down a very dark lane

We had a lovely weekend and we’re comfortable but this was not in any way enhanced by the hotel . I would not recommend

Good location with easy acess to town and easy parking

The public areas were not comfortable. The staff ,though efficient , were cold. All of the decor needs upgrading . No access to any staff or facilities after 10pm which is very early .

Great stay back in Ludlow. Good value for money. Would hope to return

Breakfast great. Smoked haddock and scrambled eggs, my favourite. All the rest good as well. Lovely comfy room. Toiletries, tea,coffee etc. Bed v comfortable

Everything was excellent and location beautiful

Location, immaculately clean, food really good and very pleasant staff

There was no small fridge in the room or the corridor to put fruit or drinks or dog food in, especially in the exceptionally hot weather

The room was dirty and the bathroom was too stains on wall in bathroom also poo still in toilet still dusty in bedroom and a hair on window sill

Exceptional

Great location, easy walk into Ludlow. All staff were efficient and friendly. The food was fabulous.

Good location

Good location, easy walking distance to centre of Ludlow.

Restaurant expensive and food a bit bland. Plenty of good restaurants in the town. Standard rooms are quite small. Description on Booking.com seems to suggest that rooms aren't en suite, which they are.

Great stay service was great position of hotel was great it was just the room and were the position

Breakfast was ok location was great evening meal was a taster menu that was nice would of preferred a menu

We booked late in the day and the only down side was the room over looked the extraction units on the flat roof below our window there for if we opened the windows well they weee cooking we were overwhelmed with the smell of cooking but I will say the room was ok
