Exceptional !

Nestled amidst the tropical beauty of Bali, the Grand Istana Rama in the heart of Kuta is a haven for travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury. Located right opposite Kuta Beach and next to Beachwalk shopping centre, this hotel offers easy access to all that beautiful Bali has to offer. Stepping into Grand Istana Rama is like entering a tranquil oasis. Surrounded by meticulously maintained garden grounds , gorgeous trees , ponds filled with giant Khoi and the odd squirrels just passing by. The warm hospitality of the staff is evident from the moment you arrive, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay. Front desk and reception is very welcoming and friendly the concierge is always willing to assist with absolutely anything. There’s also a tour operator , currency exchange and a coffee shop in the magnificent lobby. The hotel's aristocratic old feel with Balanise grandios design creates an inviting ambiance. Grand Istan’s spacious and well-appointed rooms provide a tranquil retreat after a day of exploring Bali's wonders. Housekeeping is excellent and meticulous! Grand Place to Stay !

The resort was great , the rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds and gardens were beautiful, very close to shopping centres, restaurants, cafes and opposite the beach.

Request rooms on ground floor to avoid many steps to get to rooms on the third floor.

Great location

The location, staff and grounds were great. It's located right beside a big shopping Pool was very large and warm with a swim up bar and music playing. Lots of lounge chairs.

We noticed a rat running around a few times outside. The breakfast didn't have much in the western food category.

Cleaning staff, Pool staff, Restaurant staff, & Bar staff provided great service. Friendly helpful staff.

Access to my room was unavailable for up to 4 - 5hrs. Issue with door lock.

OK but would not return

Gardens were lovely. The pool when we could use it. Ground floor room after asking for one without so many steps (paid extra) for it.

Hotel is currently under renovation, too many stairs and uneven footpaths creating a daily trip hazard. Pool gets closed for private functions so guests cannot use it between 4-10pm the hottest part of the day when you want to cool off. Spa room very old and smells musty. Buffet Breakfast lacked variety, was mainly Asian dishes.

the construction are still going on but at least the workers doesn't start making noise early in the morning

would definitely stay here again without the breakfast option. Overall a great experience with lovely staff.

a lovely hotel, very clean and tidy. beautiful gardens, some renovations to pathways but this did not impact our stay.

the breakfast let this hotel down badly. Food was cold, toaster did not work well having to recycle bread for toast 3/4 times, not enough variety.

I have booked airport pick up , but when we arrived in the airport nobody is there to pick up us.I called hotel reveption and I was told that no pick for us.

Thanks for a great stay

The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful.

WiFi connection was not the best, kept dropping out which was frustrating trying to do some work.

Great stay traditional Bali vibe

Hotel staff were fabulous great customer service and went above and beyond in meeting any requests we had. Hotel was in the central Kuta area and the hotel facilities had all we needed. Rooms were big, pool was very nice and breakfast buffet was good value. You could see the hotel put a lot of investment into pest control and make sure the hotel grounds were tidy.

Some of the sheets, linen and towels had marks on it. Breakfast was good although not many options only orange juice and Indonesian options but still tasty.
