Fabulous stay

Spending the night at the Sofitel London Gatwick was the perfect way to start my long journey back to Australia Everything was fabulous and the location couldn't have been better being situated in the North Terminal down a little tunnel. In the morning I just had to walk for 5 minutes and I was in Gatwick International departures. The bed was super big and comfortable Dinner at the Italian restaurant was excellent The staff were friendly and accommodating

Lovely hotel! Would definitely stay again :)

Very welcoming staff in the restaurants and bars. Great service overall. Our room was lovely and clean and bed was very comfortable.

Comfortable and great location for North Terminal

Location and comfort.

Reception staff not too welcoming with a couple of exceptions. But perhaps they were understandably annoyed by the behaviour of some guests.

Avoid higher floors

Very helpful staff.

The mechanical noise on the upper floors made it impossible to sleep. The hotel offered an alternative room but again located on the higher floors. I had a very early flight and had a terrible sleepless night.

Amazing and will always stay at the hotel when I have travels

Excellent location, dreadful housekeeping.

Location and a comfortable bed

Dirty. Bathroom really awful in terms of cleaning. Newly decorated but carpets not hoovered, surfaces not properly cleaned.

Comfiest bed and best hotel!!

The bed was amazingly comfy!! Literally best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time, will be hard to return home to my own bed!! Runway view was amazing also

Some staff in the terrace bar/lounge were extremely rude and stuck up, made me and my partner feel like we didn’t belong by treating everyone with respect and friendless and then giving only us really dirty looks for what I can only imagine was a swipe at the fact we looked a lot younger than a lot of the other diners.

Restful night before an early start!

Good hotel, located within a 2 min walk of Gatwick North Terminal. Lots of choice for food / drink options within the hotel. All the staff were very friendly.

Very relaxing and stress free knowing we were so close to the terminal

Staff were very helpful, room was very clean and modern and very quiet, perfect before our early flight the next morning and within walking distance to the terminal.

Would of been excellent except for hotel misrepresentations on sound proofing

Everything was great

Our bedrooms were next to tramline and hotel specifies that building is sound proof. I woke at 6.30 am but my sister in law in the room next door was awake from 2 am and couldn’t go back to sleep (not good)

Noisy, I was kept awake all night by the planes! You’d think the hotel would have better sound proofing. Also ordered room service which arrived cold and late as went to another room

Super Lage am Flughafen und der Bahnstation Betten ein Hit, Zimmer sehr sauber, es war alles da! Frühstück reichlich, schöne Auswahl

Es ist ziemlich teuer, vor allem auch die Konsumation im Hotel - ich bekam aber einen 10% discount voucher, was recht nett war!

An observation. During our stay there was a fire alarm. My husband is deaf and just about heard the room alarm. Perhaps alarms could have flashing lights
