Geht besser

Das Hotel hat wirklich eine super Lage, super zentral, man kann sowohl zu Fuß als auch an der Victoria Station mit der Underground London toll abarbeiten. Das Personal ist wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer war klein aber süß eingerichtet, leider schon ziemlich abgewohnt. Die Klimaanlage hat bedauerlicherweise gerattert und trotz mehrmaliger Versuche konnte das auch von Seiten des Hotels nicht abgestellt werden. Das hat den Aufenthalt leider sehr getrübt, da man Nachts kaum schlafen konnte, denn auch im ausgestellten Zustand hat die Klima laut gerattert. Das Frühstück war ok. Alles in Allem: spitzenmässige Lage, plüschige Optik aber wir suchen uns für den nächsten Besuch ein anderes Hotel.

Comfortable night could be better for the price

Very clean and very well located The serving staff at breakfast were very good indeed. The front of house also very good indeed Bed super comfy

Not really worth the money paid £520 for the night The extra for the view was really non existent as we were to far along to look on the mews No fridge in the room sockets only one side of the bed difficult to plug in the kettle Despite being aware of a 60th birthday no effort was made to a knowledge this Oh and the light in the bathroom was hanging out the ceiling. Would stay again but with lower expectations.

Definitely looking forward to our next visit.

The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The location was within a 5mins walk to the London Tube and in what seemed to be a safe area near Buckingham Palace. Dinner in the Curry Room was outstanding and worth every penny of the prix fixe menu. The rooms, at least the one we had was not huge but they were well appointed and had everything we needed.

Maybe the size of the shower... it was very clean and served its purpose but just felt a little on the smaller side.

Great Location

Location is very close to Buckingham Palace which is great. Indian restaurant is the best.

This is our second time of staying here a week apart. Reception staff are more accommodating and better the second time around than our first visit.

ESTANCIA INOLVIDABLE EN EL CORAZÓN DE LONDRES

Lo que más nos ha gustado ha sido la ubicación, está a escasos metros de Buckingham Palace y de la estación de Victoria. Además de ello, cuenta con varios restaurantes de cocina internacional en su alrededor. Por último, el servicio en el hotel ha sido inmejorable. Cada noche nos sorprendían con una botella de agua y un dulce típico de Inglaterra en la habitación y siempre estaban dispuestos ha ayudarnos con todo. ¡Nuestra estancia ha sido increíble!

En el Check-in te descuentan 100£/noche por “posibles gastos” que puedas hacer en el hotel (servicios adicionales). Te indican que si esos gastos no son realizados, el total cobrado será devuelto. Sin embargo, a la hora del Check-out intentan que abones 15£/noche como TIP para el servicio “general” dado por tod@s l@s trabajadores. Eso si, siempre existe la posibilidad de decir que no.

Tolle Lage mit sehr gutem Service. Jederzeit gerne wieder

Wir hatten ein Standard-Doppelzimmer mit Doppelbett. Das Zimmer war groß und geräumig. Auch sehr ruhig gelegen. Das Bad eher "kleiner", aber nicht schlecht. Personal super-freundlich, immer hilfsbereit und einfach TOPP. Sauberkeit des Zimmers 1+ mit Sternchen. Die Lage ist MEGA. Genau zwischen Victoria-Station und dem Haupteingang des Buckingham-Palace gelegen. Sightseeing-Busse halten quasi direkt vor dem Hotel. Frühstücks-Enthusiasten aufgepasst. Das englische Frühstück ist grundsätzlich gewöhnungsbedürftig. Die Gerichte waren vielfältig und alle lecker. Sehr schön angerichtet. Die Frühstücks-Crew war immer freundliche und aufmerksam.

Nebenan wurde ein Zimmer renoviert; das war mit dem "Lärm" tagsüber und am Nachmittag nicht so schön. Ein Frühstücks-Gericht ist enthalten; das zweite kostet 15 Pfund extra!!!! Nicht erwartungsgemäß. Lecker war es aber allemal. Das kontinentale Frühstück ist eher dürftig. Es wird eine Servicepauschale von 15 Pfund pro Tag und Nacht erhoben. Diese ist aber nicht verpflichtend und wird am Ende des Aufenthalts (auf Wunsch des Gastes!!!!) wieder von der Rechnung genommen.

We love the Rubins despite minor issues. Staff are awesome

I’ve stayed there before and it’s an excellent location with good service

We had problems every day with the electronic key. The Queen’s Suite was lovely but small. Breakfast on Wednesday was very slow and room service on Thursday was also very slow. The staff were all outstanding. We were given a small discount which was appreciated. We still love the Rubens.

Loved it !

Excellent very friendly staff. We had afternoon tea, which was exceptional. Amazing location 2 minutes walk from Buckingham Palace and with views out across the Royal mews buildings. Bed perfect. Heating worked perfectly (weather was very cold) and despite fronting a main road the room was silent! Entertainment in the evening, in the bar, was a bonus and the singer fantastic.

The Price of Breakfast ! Far too expensive on the day £45 each - £30 if pre-booked. (no surprise there where only 2 tables eating) - pop over to the English Rose cafe 2 minutes walk lovely little place and full English for £12 each.

An Exceptional Experience

We celebrated the new year with two nights at the Rubens and it was a wonderful experience. I really can't think of how it could have been better. Exceptional service, a beautiful, quiet and comfortable room in a great location.

Poorly managed services

Location was good with access to many restaurants.

Rooms were not cleaned and we had to ask for replacement tea and coffee as well as facecloths. Restaurant was always fully booked despite more than half the tables being available.

Lovely hotel, even lovelier staff

Attentive and helpful staff, great location, generously sized room, very comfortable bed, awesome shower, and delicious room service. Unfortunately, I only stayed for one night. I had an early morning flight out of Gatwick and a no-show ride that I had pre-booked to take me to the airport. The overnight front desk and door staff were as concerned as I was about my family's predicament and immediately found me a cab to take me to the airport.

Le petit déjeuner formule English breakfast est très bien. La salle de petit déjeuner est spacieuse et très agréable.

Rien. Le set de produit de toilette a son strict minimum et non remplacé chaque jour. 25 pounds pour le creamy tea est exorbitants pour 2 scones, 2 minuscules ramequins de confiture et de crème (pas cloated)

It was the perfect stay .. to a perfect week.

Check in was disappointing. Room was far too small for a 5 star hotel as was size of bed. Service at breakfast was painfully slow - we waited 25minutes for a cup of tea and 35minutes for food

The location was good and the staff were all very nice and helpful

The hotel was extremely dated, old fashioned and in need of a makeover. The room was very small, the beds very hard and the robes was so hard, they weee uncomfortable to wear. We used the coffee making facilities but were disappointed that there were no complimentary biscuits!!! For £360 per night, I don’t think a biscuit to go with your coffee is too much to ask!

Special touch makes all the difference!

It’s like stepping into a palace of its own, just steps away from Buckingham Palace Royal Mews. I went for a run in Saint James Park. Ended just to see them leaving their barracks for the big changing of the guard. It was pretty memorable! I had gluten free tea on site and it was fabulous. I highly recommend. I had mentioned that I stayed at this hotel 29 years ago with my grandparents. And I must say, the staff went out of their way on a daily basis to make sure my stay was a special one. This hotel has the kind of service you’d expect on a luxury cruise just on land.

Just wish there was some access to air, either with a window or fan.

toplocatie in het centrum van Londen - geweldig ontbijt - let wel om te reserveren voor een high tea

Zeer goede locatie - vriendelijk personeel aan onthaal en ontbijt was super en overtrof onze verwachtingen.

Service is bar viel tegen, tot 2x toe drank moeten vragen, 2de keer moeten vragen achter olijven en nootjes. Kon niet reserveren voor high tea (volzet) en restaurant was gesloten.

Great experience if you enjoy traditional values combined with an excellent service.

Friendly staff, from the doorman, the lady at the concierge, Zoe, who had great suggestions for sightseeing, the staff at restaurant, overall a great experience. Another bonus was the fact that the red line of the Hop on/off Bus, had a stop in front of the hotel.

Beautiful room. Nice view out to the street. Wonderful location. Across the road from the Royal Mews. Saw the horses coming in & out of the stables a few times. Very friendly staff and they couldn't do enough for you.
