Just OK. Would not go back

Room was clean. Nothing special. It met our needs for one night, but would not stay again. However, had stayed at the Langham the week earlier. No comparison.

At the Clermont you are close to so much that London has to offer...or just a tube ride away.

This is a lovely hotel. We knew 2 other people who have stayed here and enjoyed it so we felt confident that it would be a nice place and it is. Loved being near the gardens: Embankment and Whitehall. Loved being near to so many other sites and shopping and restaurants and the underground and train. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was very nice. Really enjoyed our visit.

Not that it was expected, just would have been nice to have been able to get into our room earlier, seeing as we arrived around 9 am and were exhausted from flying overnight. Maybe they can offer that feature...for a fee of course!

Älteres sehr schönes Gebäude mit einem sehr guten Service.

Die Fenster sind nicht dicht, so pfeift es bei etwas Wind rein, was in unserem Fall das Zimmer auch runterkühlte.

A wonderful hotel, but pricey

Luxurious, comfortable and perfectly located. Very nice breakfast in a beautiful rooms and comfortable beds. My kids loved the hotel. We all enjoyed it a lot!

Prices could be lower.. It was a well deserved treat for my family, but we couldn't afford a long stay..

Staff go above and beyond. The location is centrally located between all of tourist sites and theater district.

Excellent séjour !

Tout est parfait, de l'accueil à la chambre, en passant par le petit-déjeuner, je n'ai vraiment rien à redire. C'est un des plus chouettes hotels où j'ai eu la chance de me rendre. La literie est excellente. Petit déjeuner assez onéreux, compter 25pound par jour par personne, mais il est excellent.

Chambre sans eaux chaude ni chauffage on me di demain je vous change de chambre à 400€ la nuit le lendemain on me donne une chambre il faut prendre 2 ascenseur c un marathon carte qui de fonctionne pas obliger de redescendre il ne veule pas monter en plus de sa il te fon une remise de 70€

Not the last time at the Clermont......

Friendly welcome , the staff generally very attentive and helpful. Room not so spacious, but bed very comfortable. Good breakfast, also food in restaurant enjoyable.

Had to ask for slippers - floors are carpeted, so for sake of hygiene didn't want to keep go barefoot. No body lotion with toiletries, also face cloth missing. Nothing of great significance to complain about.

Good value for London hotel prices of this standard in this location

Excellent Location, very comfortable ,good size room with fridge. Complementary drinks at the bar.

Only criticism was the shower- tended to go hot / cold and leaked water badly onto the bathroom floor

Centrally located hotel with good sleeping comfort

Central location. Bed comfort. Hotel looks classy and in general feels this way.

Shower always interrupted after one minute. Only one lift was working the whole time. Think they have a slight maintenance problem.

not a true 4 star, barely a 3 star. area directly around the hotel is horrible

good location IN THEORY - walkable distance to most tourist attractions.. BUT, the dirt and crowds in front of the hotel at all times were horrible. tons of bums laying around, beggars, very uncomfortable to stand in front of hotel.

we asked for a quiet room, they put us in the Adjacent building (not the main one) on the 3rd floor, right above a bar, with our windows going out to the rowdy crowds. room had no hand soap. asked for robes for both of us - got one robe. room change was a mess, kept us in the adjacent building just higher floor. room is tiny, and bed is small. way too much hassle for a 4 night stay.

Convenient and comfortable

Once I secured an upgraded room everything was good.

That, despite paying £100's more through Booking.com than the hotels 'best rate' on the day for a much superior room, the first room offered was sub standard [for the price I paid], too small and required the use of two separate lifts plus a significant walk across a bridge to get to it. To make that journey every time one wants to leave the hotel is discouraging to sy the least. Next time I will check the hotel's rates agains booking.com rates. Quite a significant difference.

Outstanding service, excellent location, lots of comfort. Strongly recommended.

The service from all staff in all departments was outstanding - friendly, welcoming and professional. The Studio Suite where I stayed was a lovely room with a good view onto The Strand. Bed was blissfully comfortable (really a 5 star bed) and the blackout curtains very efficient, something I always appreciate. Room and bathroom impeccably clean. Very good breakfast and the restaurant, with its original 19th century decor is beautiful. The location is central and incredibly convenient, with Charing Cross rail and tube station right next door, a few minutes walk from museums, theatres and Covent Garden.

Hard to think of anything. The only problem was occasional loud noise from Trafalgar Square - people were playing very loud music there late on Saturday night and although the double glazing in the room was good, you could still hear it. But that's not the hotel's fault or within their control.

Is not as good as it was when it was the Amber and staff communications need to improve.

It’s in a great location literally up the road from Trafagar Square and above the tube station.

The room service advertised through the hotel to isn’t actually room service , it’s an outside company and we had appalling service and struggled to get this resolved. The hotel did eventually refund us the money we lost through using this service but communications were hard work and the refund just arrived, no one emailed or rang to say this I found the credit when checking my account for something else. 3 times I had asked for someone to update me.

Amazing stay

Staff were brilliant. Friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean. Noise from the street could not be heard in the room. The bed was so comfortable. Great location. We ate dinner in the restaurant and loved it. Breakfast did not disappoint. We had a lovely stay and will stay here again.

Beds on wheels so twin beds kept rolling when trying to sit on them. Disabled member of party had a long way to walk to room. No apparent allowance for mobility Long queue for breakfast on first day. Not told that wheelchair could be taken straight through Requested extra milk etc for room but not provided Had to go and collect hours later
