Excellent alternative to the usual premier Inn, etc. Fabulous location.

Great location. quirky decor. Decent food.

Bathroom drains need sorting out - water not draining properly. Bedroom walls are very thin - I could hear people chatting in the next room.

We had a great weekend

The staff were very polite and friendly and the location was brilliant We enjoyed the live band on the Saturday The decor in room was lovely and the view The breakfast was lovely too

Our bed was very squeaky and the bathroom door and the shower was not great but these minor issues could be fixed really easily

A really disappointing stay.

The location was good for visiting historical sites.

The Malt House was closed with a skip and the contents of the pub on the forecourt. There had been a fire in the pub and therefore it was closed. On arrival we assumed that our accommodation was unavailable. The phone number through booking.com was out of service. We only found out that our booking was being handled by the pub next door because we found a number on the Malt House’s own website. Our children were quite worried by the building site scene we were presented with upon arrival. We feel like the photos on booking.com are grossly misleading. The accommodation we were given had some charming elements however, the windowsills in the apartment were home to several dead wasps and there was one on the sofa too. The bath had not been cleaned and there were hairs. Some bins had not been emptied. Everything smelled a bit damp. The staff were defensive and indifferent. No one asked us if everything was ok when we left.

We arrived to be told there was no room available ,on a Saturday night ,we had poor staff who couldn't care less. We went around the area for 1 hour paid 150 for room for one night

On arrival to collect key spoke to a member of staff who completely ignored us not a great start but could let that go! Then came to the room!! We were extremely disappointed.. the room was dirty, hair all over the bathroom floor and bed, dirty towel in the bathroom. The light shade in the bedroom had "clean me" written in the dust from previous visitor's. Dirty and broken mugs. I spoke to a member of staff in the morning who's response was " I'll speak with the head housekeeper" and apologized. We will definitely not be returning!

Some other guests were smoking cannabis in adjacent conservatory. This caused noxious smell both nights of stay

Ironbridge

Iron bridge was lovely ,staff polite helpful

We wasn't warned about the parking, on booking it said no parking ,but you could park adjacent to malthouse or the swan so that's what we did thinking this was ok ,but later on we went to our car to find we had a parking ticket which cost me £25 ,if I was warned about this I would not have parked there

The view in the morning

The shower didn't work, washed to another room to shower, it was damp, there was brown water all in the bottom of the shower, it smelt like wet dog too

Pleasant stay, excellent breakfast!

Fantastic breakfast, easy to check in. Room was pleasant. Private Shower/toilet was lovely (only negative was it wasn’t en-suite it was across a shared hall way, but was only for our use) the shower was nice and hot though!

Fix the accute customer service flaws and it's a gem

The Malthouse is opposite the River Severn - stunning views with a forest backdrop and picturesque period properties dotted about. The room itself represents reasonably good value for money.

The attitude of the employees. At breakfast, my gosh. The customer is the enemy.

Fantastic staff as usual - even though we had no hot water when we arrived in freezing weather- resolved immediately Had tomahawk steak sharer - absolutely unbelievable- best steak ever ! Breakfast stunning Great entertainment on the weekends Fantastic value for money- a great all rounder X

Girls are awesome, food was fantastic.

The staff could not of been more pleasant, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, they were polite, helpful and very nice. The Loft was very comfortable. Food in the pub was very good, the young girl that waited on us was lovely. Breakfast was fantastic. We cannot wait to return. Thank you team.

Wouldn’t go back there again.

location was good

Lighting in our room and restaurant was very dim. We only had one bedside light. Also some of the sockets in our room didn’t work. One wasn’t fixed to the wall correctly. The bathroom sink was very small and badly stained. The panel underneath it was hanging on by a thread.

Pleasant

The location is great and the rooms were comfortable. We had the Penthouse and 2 other rooms, you can see the bridge from the penthouse window. The flat was a really good base for us and we even made our own breakfast one day .

It was very noisy at night (bands and disco in the pub), which meant that we couldn't sleep until 11.30 in Friday and 12.00 on Saturday. There is apparently a warning in the website but I didn't see anything on here when I booked. Things are starting to show a bit of wear eg, our toilet seat was broken and the handle to the bathroom didn't work.

A perfectly adequate place to stay for the money with the most lovely staff and wonderful food.

Lovely public house with the most wonderful staff and probably the best food that we have ever eaten. Our room was lovely and big with a roll top bath.

I did ask for a ground floor room on my booking as a I am disabled. However we had the room right at the top of the property meaning many stairs to climb. This was extremely difficult and we were there for several days. I have never slept in such an uncomfortable bed and we had to take turns sleeping in the single bed!!! The whole place was in desperate need or a really good dust. Wasn’t dirty, just really dusty.
