The location is great Nice cosy clean room lovely fresh towels, good breakfast, Lovely friendly staff.

With a few tweaks I will go back again

Bedroom in the annexe clean and comfortable. Breakfast very good. Short walk into town.

The mattress was too soft, almost sponge like. Room 7. No clear signage at the rear of property. Somebody put the passageway light on in the annexe late on. Maybe the light could be put on a motion sensor and timed.

a great base for a walking trip

conveniently located in the middle of Keswick, easy to access the town and local buses to get out to the hills. the property has nice, clean and spacious rooms. the owners are really friendly, make a super breakfast and offer lunches to take out for the day too. overall a really great place to stay

Wonderful stay

Lovely friendly staff. Breakfast was wonderful and a large variety of options available. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy.

Parking was a little tricky but we generally managed to be able to park on the streets nearby. Otherwise it was a perfect stay!

Comfortable-cosy stay in the heart of Keswick.

Spacious comfortable rooms with all standard must have amenities. The owners came across as really nice and friendly people, taking the hospitality level a notch above.

Probably the breakfast. Not enough spread and a lot of things served were not fresh.

Perfection

Owners were so accommodating they couldn't do enough to make the stay as perfect as possible. The room was spotless , breakfast was so fresh and presented impeccably. The location was fantastic, literally a couple of minutes walk from the market town. We asked for something special for our wedding anniversary, and boy, did we get it. Highly recommended, and we will be visiting again really soon.

2 nighter.

Beautiful bedding and towels. Clean and functional.room Good selection of biscuits and beverages in room. Location perfect with easy on road parking outside Fernedene... although parking on site available. I feel it was very good value for money and breakfast was delicious. Hosts real.flexible giving take out breakfast baps for those that didn't go to dining room. Vegan option lovely. Big bathroom in bedroom.8. Host was so welcoming. We would definetly stay at Ferndene again.

Nothing not to like. Maybe bigger tv? But this is so not essential for us. We were in the annexe which has 3 rooms .

Gateway to a great getaway

Approach and location are excellent. Property is clean, roomy & warm and functional. Hosts are an asset as they are genuinely happy to be amongst their guests, and have a genuine interest in what they're doing during their stay.

Access was a little tight in places but this can't really be helped due to the nature of the building. Bed was very comfortable, however a choice of harder pillows would have been much appreciated.

annex needs some work

The location was brilliant for the town centre and walks. breakfast was fresh and the hosts very friendly.

We were in the annex. Flickering light in the hallway (husband suffers from light induced migraines). Radiator in the hallway not working. The bed was uncomfortable and there was a real problem with condensation in the room and subsequent mold around the windows which I do think they probably tried to keep on top off but … entrance to the actual guest house was through the back door and on entrance to this the smell of dog urine and cleaning products was overpowering. Could also here everything from the adjoining rooms.

Great location in the centre of Keswick clean and comfortable friendly staff. The view we had on the top floor was lovely

Breakfast, you had to fill in a form the night before by 8pm for your selection which was a cooked breakfast and cereal as I do not really like cooked breakfast there was not enough choice for me no fruit, yogurt or pastries ie croissants there were also a 30 min time limit for breakfast 8.30 to 9.00 am it should be longer. The television was the size of a laptop And the most annoying one We booked a car parking space. When we arrived it had been given to someone else that had just turned up on the last minute and we had been booked in around 6 months before.

Wonderful place for short stay

The property was very clean and welcoming. The new owners or managers very pleasant and eager to please. Breakfast had a limited choice but great quality.

Slightly better choice for breakfast would have been appreciated. The stairs to the suite very steep although great views once you’re there. It’s not a power shower as per details.

Comfy, accommodating and good value for money.

Very clean and welcoming. Easy to organise breakfast and a great breakfast.

Door lock was a bit faulty but that’s is being picky.

Thank you for a lovely stay. Close to the centre. Friendly hosts.

The B&B was in a great location. Only a short walk to the centre. The room was clean and comfortable. A good choice of breakfast options. Friendly hosts.

Although we managed to get parked on the street, parking could be an issue if you didn't get it booked with the accomodation.
