lovely hosts

2nd time we have visited the woodside and again it was excellent, , start the day with a beautiful breakfast. then some knowledgable guidance from Hannah and BJ on getting the best from your stay, then back to a comfotable clean room for a good nights sleep. would definitley recommend .

Good location into Keswick city centre using the old railway track. Accommodation was spot on and the hosts were very knowledgeable. Would recommend to friends.

Exceptional

A perfect location for touring the area, the facilities were excellent, and our hosts Hannah and BJ were wonderful. There was a lovely choice of breakfasts, with local produce too. And the onsite parking is very useful too on days where you might fancy a walk instead. All in all a place to fully recommend for a stay in the Lakes.

There was nothing to dislike, everything was perfectly to our needs and went beyond our expectations.

It was a great location for exploring a beautiful area.

It’s a beautiful location close to a rail trail to walk to town. The garden is lovely. The owners were helpful with planning hikes and recommending excellent restaurants. B.J. makes the best granola ever. Make sure you learn about the closest bus stop for arriving and departing. If you use the main bus station in town, which is fine for exploring the area, you would be hauling your suitcase an unnecessary distance if you are traveling to the Penrith Train Station. There is parking for people who have their own cars.

I had mixed feelings about the approximately 20” walk to town. It is a beautiful walk through woods and I enjoyed seeing all the other walkers and well behaved dogs being walked. When you are having a long day of hiking, however, and especially if you want to return to your room for some reason, during the day or before dinner to freshen up, the distance does add up.

Hannah and BJ were very kind and obliging hosts who made an excellent breakfast and gave great recommendations! We visited Woodside B&B during a 4 week road trip through the UK and it was honestly the best breakfast we've had throughout the entire trip. Comfortable rooms and a homey feeling! Excellent value for your money.

Wonderful hosts – friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Good location just a short drive from the town center. Thoughtful details in room, like USB sockets next to each bed.

The single beds were sadly quite uncomfortable as they sagged in the middle, leaving me with some back pain the next day. The wifi was inaccessible upstairs, though this is something they’re working on.

A very good b&b lovely room top notch breakfast and run by a very friendly couple.

The best breakfast we have had.

It was a 15 to 20 Mon walk into Keswick but that wasn't really a problem because the railway footpath was very close by.

Super friendly hosts, which you wouldn’t get the level of if you stayed in a hotel.

Fantastic hospitality. The room was spatious, comfortable and clean. The owners couldn’t do enough to help us , including a super accurate weather report for each day. Breakfast was exceptional. Will definitely return and recommend for others wanting to stay in Keswick.

Very enjoyable stay at this comfortable B&B in Keswick.

The room was large with comfortable twin beds on the top floor. Breakfast was delicious, especially BJ’s homemade granola. He and Hannah were excellent hosts. Lovely outdoor garden.

Near a busy intersection which was a little noisy at night (since our room faced the street) but it was fine when we closed the windows.

Perfect spot for a trip to Keswick. Can't wait to stay again!

We had a lovely time at Woodside B&B - the hosts, room, breakfast, location were all fantastic. Check-in and parking was super easy. Close walk into town. We are definitely going to stay here again when we next visit, thank you!

A home from home place in a great location

The location was ideal because I wanted to walk nearby in The Lakes and also visit my son. Hannah and JB were perfect hosts and the breakfast was of very high quality using locally sourced bacon and eggs. I wish them both the best of success!

Lovely couple faultless customer service. When you arrive they put your name on a board they also have a little fridge on top of the stairs filled with little milk bottles for each room. Thought that was a lovely touch. They also have key fobs to let u enter the building so you can come and go as you please. Very happy with the service the people the building everything they do a brilliant job and would look forward to going back anytime. What a lovely place highly recommended a *

it was comfortable and Hannah and BJ are great hosts!

Woodside is a great place to stay, it’s location is easy to find considering it is opposite a Keswick land mark, right next next to various footpaths to Keswick town centre and a short drive to Waller Crag and various other walks that you decide to do. Our room was cleaned to a great standard and I felt at home right away. The en-suite shower was absolutely incredible, I’ve never had a better shower anywhere else! the beds were very comfortable with both plug in and usb charging right at your side. the breakfast was amazing, and there was such a choice and it caters to everyone, even the vegan and vegetarian options tempted me when I seen them come to other guests every time I want to come to the lakes, I will definitely be looking at booking here again!

the only thing I would say was that the doors struggled to close at times but I wouldn’t mark it down, it never even bothered us!

Perfect stay - cannot fault anything. Would highly recommend to everyone visiting Keswick!

The Breakfast at the hotel was delicious and plentiful. We had a full english and vegetarian breakfast. Could not fault at all. Stayed for the weekend 6 - 8 Jan 23. Had the best time. Situated within easy walking distance to the town. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again if every in Keswich. Thank you both so much for such a welcoming stay. Lovely B & B, would recommend.

The location was lovely, the owners were so friendly but not over bearing and very helpful. The room was comfortable and warm. The breakfast was amazing. The Granola was the best I've had, and cooked breakfast was perfect. Stayed 2 nights and couldn't fault anything. Would definitely recommend.

We were made to feel extremely welcome and cared for from the second we stepped in the door!

The hosts Hannah and BJ were amazing- they made us feel extremely welcome and helped us with any questions we had. The service and quality of food at breakfast time was incredible and Hannah and BJ definitely showed us that they genuinely cared and wanted us to have the best stay in Keswick- we couldn’t ask for anything more! The room was very clean and spacious and about a mile walk into the town centre and not a far walk at all to the Castlerigg stone circle. Hannah and BJ, thank you so much for helping make our stay in Keswick a wonderful one. We wish you both the best of luck with your new business venture and we very much look forward to coming back again soon!
