Great service, value for money in a convenient location. Very comfortable with air con, mini fridge, private bathroom. Very handy being next to kitchen. Ground floor, so easy for my elderly mother. Cheers

They were very accommodating for late check in. The room was spacious and clean. The kitchen and lounge area looked tidy and well equipped however we did not use.
In the middle of the night (3-4 AM) there was lots of noise coming from the corridor and other rooms.

I thought the staff were helpful and pleasant... as I am recovering from Head Injury.

Nothing.

central location to restaurants and a 10 min walk to the bus station. Stayed in a 4 bed female dorm. Rather dingy facilities.
This backpackers badly needs an upgrade.

It's close to the transport station, about a 10min walk. It's cheap.
Terrible WiFi it doesn't work at all past reception, it's quite rough I wouldn't recommend staying here but it is the cheapest place in Hamilton I think so just be prepared to get what you pay for. It's dirty and uncomfortable and the people here are not friendly. Would be fine for a night or 2 but not longer. At 10am everyday they open every door in the hostel to do housekeeping and leave the doors unlocked and open for hours so make sure your stuff has locks. The decor is nightmarish - a mix of neon green and blue with browns grey and pink randomly. It needs to be renovated and modernised a lot

Location
Unfortunately this wasn’t a great hostel. I had a double private room with en suite. It had no window (I may have missed it in the description but wouldn’t have booked it had I known). The whole room and bathroom was shabby and needs work. There is a strict sign to keep the bathroom door closed to avoid steam setting off alarms but the door wasn’t in its runner so I had to lift it across where it should have slid. Upon departure I asked to leave a bag for the day and had to pay £5. I wouldn’t have minded this so much if the room had been good. The location was great for me and the bed comfortable and clean but I wouldn’t stay again.

Location is good
It's underground so no windows in the rooms or common area. Bathrooms are basically shared male/female. It's generally clean but very worn down and tired looking place.

The location is great and the room and bathrooms where clean
The place is a little run down. The kitchen is a mess (this was the same last year when I stayed). There as also trucks that go by first thing in the morning and it woke me up but wasn't the end of the world

Friendly if not very helpfull staff
Claustrophobic small rooms and hallways. No window and uncomfortably poor air

Made a last minute decision to attend a concert with my friend and looked for an accommodation that had 2 single beds. This property came up since it was close to the concert venue and we had no idea what to expect since it said it was for backpackers. But we just needed somewhere to sleep since we were from out of town, so we did not really mind what kind of room it was. It was great, so tidy and the room was nice and cool, a/c definitely was helpful because Hamilton was so warm. There were more than enough bathroom and toilet supplies. We did not use the shared kitchen facilities but the kitchen was spacious and clean, had comfy couches and some good reading materials. We lost our room key after the concert in the early hours of Sunday morning, it was somewhere in our wallets. The gentleman was really nice, came and opened our room for us. Easy to find and customer service was great.
There is nothing I could criticize. Just a little suggestion. On a warm day as such, maybe the a/c in those ground floor rooms could be left on before customers check in, just to keep the room in a nice and cool temperature, especially when there are no windows in that room.

No windows in some of the bedrooms. It was dark and dingy and the ventilation in the place isn’t great

It's always good when I go there. Very helpful

it had a radiator and fan and the room was pretty clean and the kitchen was clean but I think this was due to the floor we were staying on being pretty empty. for what it is and the price it’s alright I wouldn’t stay there again but if you are in need of a bed they will have some!
the bathrooms were disgusting and glad we only stayed for the 3 nights as I only showered once due to the filthy shower area and toilet that was always dirty, it felt like it wasn’t a backpackers hostel at all more like a place for the homeless and most guests we only saw once as they probably weren’t best pleased with the cleanliness either. The walls were so thin you could hear every cough and sneeze and doors opening sounded so close it felt like your door was the one being opened which lead to both of us being awakened throughout the night. on our second day we were awoken by the cleaners just opening our door so the extra lock on it clearly was just for show and no do not disturb signs available which is when probably what less to our door being opened in the morning

I would feel safe there staying on my own. Security, room comfort and cleanliness very good.
The comfortable lounge and dining area was nice to talk with other guests.
The TV in our room didnt worki.
Microwaves could do with a clean.
