Nestled in Rockport, this lovely cottage for R 7,368 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Cottage on the Pond is tucked away from the summer crowds at the end of a picturesque lane with ocean views from the front porch, and views of the mill pond. We are conveniently located to all Rockport amenities – a two minute stroll to Front Beach; a one minute walk to the park and five minutes to famous Bearskin Neck alive with boutique shoppes, seafood restaurants and attractions for all ages. Some of our favorite moments here are sipping coffee while watching the sunrise from the privacy of our screened in porch, afternoons grilling outside in the backyard as the sun sets through the old oak trees, and cool rainy days by a cozy fire. With three bedrooms that sleep up to six people, the Cottage on the Pond is the perfect family destination. We are pleased and excited to share with you that we have completed the renovation of an additional second bathroom with laundry and an updated kitchen expansion to our beloved Cottage on the Pond. At the same time we have remodeled the existing bathroom offering our guests more comfort and convenient but without giving up the charm of the old twenties style cottage. We now have a new washer and dryer. The porch has great views to the ocean and the backyard overlooking the mill pond will still be the gathering place for family and friends around the fire pit. Our unique location offers up to eight parking spaces for all three cottages, working fireplaces, an abundance of linens and inclusive items that make for a seamless vacation all within a two minute walk to Front Beach. As always, your family pets are welcome at no extra charge. The high season from mi-June through mid-September will remain a two week minimum stay or better. We are currently taking reservations for 2021 and 2022 for all three cottages – recharge your soul, rest, relax and rejuvenate. Life is good in Rockport and even better at “Cottage on the Pond”!

We had a wonderful and relaxing, fall getaway Stay at Louise’s cottage in Rockport. The amenities and attention to detail provided a romantic charm, view to the ocean and wood-burning fireplace made our stay even more special. Being so close to the train station provided a convenient transportation to Salem and Boston. We will return to Rockport and look forward to staying once again at this lovely home.

We stayed for two weeks with our children and the location was perfect. There is a playground a short walk from the house and the kids loved being able to go there alone. The house is tucked in amongst trees and at the end of the road. So very private and quiet.

Based on prior reviews, we knew the cottage would be charming with fresh flowers and kitchen essentials but that would be an understatement. The kitchen was better stocked than my own kitchen with items such as parchment paper and heart shaped pancake molds. What the other reviews didn’t highlight was the delightful location. The pond provided hours of entertainment as family members fished, watched turtles and looked for bullfrogs. The ocean breeze kept the nights cool and the outdoor seating provided us with spots to read, talk and eat. Very close to the beach and to town. It was wonderful to be able to walk everywhere.

The cottage was so quaint and cozy, I loved it. It is a cemetery away from the beach, literally. It was peaceful, close to shops, dining all within walking distance. Karl and Louise were very nice and easily reached when I had a question. I felt very welcomed by them, she left a nice card to welcome us along with some welcoming goodies. The best touch were the fresh vases of cut flowers. I hope to come back, next time with my husband to relax and explore the beautiful area. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

This gorgeous cottage was delightful and had everything you could possibly need. The location was the best thing. The cottage is on a pond and adjoining park about 2 min walk to Front beach and 5 min from town. The additional parking was also super convenient. Just the perfect spot and host!

Loved the hospitality, cottage and location! We can't say enough about the hosts, and their beautiful, immaculate home. The cottage was so comfortable, quiet and relaxing. The location was superb (ample parking and just a walk....) to key areas of Rockport, while enjoying both the pond and the ocean at the same time. We also loved listening to the frogs in the evening hours from the screened in porch, what a treat! While the kitchen was fully stocked to cook with all its' amenities, and we were generously provided some essentials (thank you Louise!), we had some lovely dining in and around Rockport (My Place by the Sea = excellent), and in Gloucester, which is a short drive away (LOVED 1606 Restaurant and Oyster Bar at the Beauport Hotel)... we also had opportunities to buy some local art to add to our collection, and it was so fun to see and be around all the area had to offer. Thanks so much for a great stay and for making us feel welcomed, we'll be back for sure, oooh and the beautiful fresh flowers in and around the cottage made our stay extra special, these cannot go without a shout-out, the flowers were amazing and so very thoughtful. I felt at home the minute I arrived at the "Cottage on the Pond". Louise and Karl greeted us and treated us like family and provided all these extra touches (fresh flowers, breakfast treats, wine etc). I can't say enough how wonderful a week it was. The cottage is beautifully decorated . So many places to sit and enjoy your coffee or glass of wine. The backyard is beautiful overlooking the pond and the front screened porch has a view of the ocean. I hope to be back soon. It was everything I hoped for and more. This was the perfect cottage by pond! We had such a wonderful stay - a 3minute walk to Front Beach, 1 minute walk to a playground, and everything you could need stocked to help you enjoy your stay. Louise and Karl were excellent hosts, greeting us to show us around, leaving snacks and food for breakfast the next morning, even laying a fire in the fireplace (which we ended up using on a chilly rainy evening). We stayed with our 3 and 7 yr olds, the bedroom with the twin beds was perfect for them. The front porch is the perfect place to unwind at the end of a long beach day or drink your coffee with the sunrise. Would love to return!!

This is the quintessential cottage by the sea, with a bonus large backyard overlooking a pond, in an adorable, quintessential NE seaside village. If that isn’t enough, your choices are to sit on screened front porch and look at the ocean or the backyard by the fire pit overlooking the pond. The location is amazing....block from Front Street beach. We rolled the 1 and 3 year old grand babies in a beach buggy down to the beach and all the shops and restaurants. The house is fully equipped for your stay...beach towels, chairs, blender, dishes, etc. And the owner couldn’t be more accommodating! You will be greeted with fresh flowers in several rooms and staples to get you started on your stay. I will be returning for sure!

Our family had a wonderful getaway in The Cottage by the Pond!! Louise and Karl were amazing hosts - making sure the cottage was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need and even bought things like wine, bacon and eggs for our family when we arrived! The beautiful pond, the ocean view, the screened in porch, all made the visit an enjoyable and relaxing one! Strolls on front beach looking for sea glass and walks to town for delicious dinners, ice cream and shopping made the trip so much fun. Rockport and The Cottage on the Pond are what special Summer memories are made of! Thank you Louise & Karl!

Cottage in the Pond is an adorable seaside hideaway nestled just off of The main drag of lovely downtown Rockport. Sunny, cheerful and welcoming in every way. We especially loved the enormous, shady back yard with comfortable seating for a crowd and a scenic view of the pond. We were also pleasantly surprised to have an ocean view from the front porch. Just lovely! The hosts took extra wonderful care of us, even filling the fridge and pantry with a generous supply of food (bacon, eggs, juice, wine, yogurt, cheese, crackers, and homemade banana bread! WOW!) Their attentiveness is beyond anything we’ve ever experienced in a vacation home, and so appreciated. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough good words about our stay in Rockport. This hideaway cottage is so close to everything but we yet tucked away from the bustle of the main area. It was the perfect spot for our family reunion. While we loved exploring the town our favorite times were simply sitting on the front porch and looking out to the ocean in the distance. One of our favorite places we've ever stayed at.
