Tu sny stają się rzeczywistością

To miejsce trzeba odwiedzić! Zanim przyjechaliśmy do Mangrove, naczytaliśmy się o potencjalnych żyjątkach, które mogą nas odwiedzić w pokoju. Zaczęliśmy zastanawiam się nad odwołaniem wyjazdu. To byłaby najgorsza decyzja. Jedyne co spotkaliśmy to małe jaszczurki i komary. Za to widoki i doświadczenie było nieziemskie. Jedzenie jest przepyszne. Obsługa uśmiechnięta i pomocna. Codziennie pytano nas czy życzymy sobie serwis. Niezależnie od odpowiedzi, pracownicy donosili codziennie butelkę wody (na osobę). Koniecznie wybierzcie domki na plaży lub wille - są one w pierwszej linii brzegowej. Pierwszej nocy możecie mieć problem z zaśnięciem (szum fal), ale się nie zniechęcajcie. Hotel znajduje się kawałek od centrum, ale w zamian otrzymujecie ciszę i spokój. W razie konieczności, do centrum można podjechać tuk tukiem :) Serdeczne podziękowania dla (chyba) menagera, Pana z trzema kolczykami w lewym uchu i Pana ogrodnika. Sprawiliście, że ten pobyt przerósł nasze wszelkie oczekiwania.

Malutki minus za łazienkę w "piwnicy" - klapa jest dość ciężka, ale dzięki temu rozwiązaniu istnieje mniejsza szansa na nieproszonych gości. Fajnie gdyby w pokoju znalazła się mała lodówka, ale z drugiej strony, w przypadku chęci wypicia czegoś zimnego, można zamówić złożyć zamówienie w hotelowej restauracji. W ramach śniadania można wybrać jedną z trzech opcji - niestety dowiedzieliśmy się tego ostatniego dnia.

We are a Belgian family (father and 2 adult children) travelling through Sri Lanka in summer 2023. Looking for a quiet hotel on a remote palm fringed sand beach we ended up in the Mangrove Beach Cabaña Hotel where we were welcomed by the friendly Mr Laxman and staff. Due to the off-season period (July) we were the only guests and were therefore kindly given an upgrade to a fantastic beach cabana. The location is like paradise, but the sea was quite rough in July so we could only safely swim in a beach close by (few 100 meters) protected by rocks. Food in the restaurant is excellent. Tangalle is at walking distance but count on around 1 hour walk (but access by tuktuk is easy) From the hotel one can walk (also >1 hour, better to take tuktuk) to the Rekawa beach where night turtle watching is organised (from 20:00 onwards) and where we could observe 2 green turtles laying eggs on the beach. We were very happy with all services offered by Mangrove Beach Cabaña.

The rooms are stunning, right on the beach you step out your door and your looking at the waves crashing on the shore, sleeping every night with the sound of waves and the bungalows are so homey and comfortable, they have fresh sheets for you every 2 days and the food is great, couldn’t recommend a place more if you want to relax or have a romantic get away

It was a very nice time in Mangrove Beach Cabana. We recommend this place, is a magic.

Everything was great. The breakfast was very tasty, dinner was also delicious. The beach house was clean and comfortable. The stagf was very kind and helpful. We are booking a cortage but we got villa, witch was very nice of the owner. The beach was private and was allowed to rest. It’s wonderful place.

Offseason. Just me and some beach dogs and the awesome staff. Ask them and they'll provide. Magic place. The ocean just outside the Cabanas is super rough and not a place to swim (not even for me being a very able swimmer. Luckily, a few minutes walk from this place the owner has another magic one with natural pools hidden behind the reef. Great for some light swimming, snorkling and playing. Pause to take a dip in the river meeting the ocean on the way with super clear and cool water. Try the Peacefingers at the Cabanas. Get passion fruit size deluxe. Have a Lion. A Secret Pearl.

Very nice hotel with small Cabanas directly at the beach, the view and the beach are amazing. There are sun beds and a hammock for each room. Good place to relax at the beach! The food is okay, but there are better places at the city.

Nothing negative, more a hint. The cabanas are built in a traditional way, so there is no AC and smaller animals and insects can enter the room.

Super calm place. Beach are not crowded at all. They also offering free kayaks to explore a lagoon.

Need to walk a bit for safe swimming. (5min) Wc is in the basement, be careful :)

Beautiful location, wonderful staff.

The location was absolutely beautiful and the beach the most perfect we have ever seen. We had the privilege of seeing a baby turtle making it's way down to the sea. The staff were wonderful, really accommodating and helpful.

The accommodation was very basic (but still great value for money), as there are no windows in the cabanas it was quite noisy with wild dogs barking.

We had a beachfront bungalow with a large outdoor bathroom. From the bed you could see the sea. It was fantastically beautiful. The bungalows and the surrounding area were very quiet and directly on the beach with shady palm trees. Breakfast and dinner were very delicious. The beach was clean and endless with only a few people. Unfortunately, you can not swim so well because of the current. However, nearby is a protected small bay for swimming, there are also sunbeds, which could be used free of charge. Great was also the free canoes in the lagoon.

Lovely place!

Our Cabin was right at the beach. You feel very close to nature. At night you can hear the sound of the waves and the wildlife that surrounds you. If you are sensitive to noise you should bring some ear plugs or think about renting a house that isn't this close to the ocean. The staff is incredibly friendly and courteous. We think the place is awesome and we definitely reccomend staying there.

Perfect Place for Doing Nothing All Day

It it located at the wide stretch of pristine beach east of Tangalle. Sometimes when you walk at the beach by yourself, you don’t see any people but yourself. For people who dislike touristy spots, it is a perfect getaway.

Would expect the shower to be hot at this price range. The food at the estate is slightly expensive.

A fantastic place. Don't miss it !

Wauw. What a place and wauw what a staff. We was just blown away by the place. The beach was fantastic. Don' miss this place. Chamal and staff are the best. They noticed our Favourite dinner table was taken and, placed a similar Setup close by our spot. Book it now. 👍 By the way. This is not a bought customer but a grateful guest writing this.

The way the turtle wildlife conservation agency watches over the endangered species. We must deeply protest the way they do this. All Tourist must complain to the Sri Lankan government about this !!

Perfect beach hideaway with simple cabanas and a deserted beach to really relax. Great service by the staff bringing drinks to the beach and preparing delicious food for a dinner under stars und palm trees and with ones feet in the sand.

Now and then, there is a whift of a smell coming from the lagoon. But it also disappears quickly so it's not a constant nuisance.

Beautiful Beach Cabine

The place is very beautiful and well thought. The beach is right in front of the cabin, which was clean and comfortable. Additionally the people and specially Nuwan were very kind and helped us a lot.

The Beach is sadly not for swimming so that you had to walk for 10 minutes in order to swim.

The location is perfect, the room was as good as advertised, the food great and the staff are wonderfully helpful and efficient. The beaches are quiet and well worth long walks in the evening for turtle watching.

There wasn't anything that I can think could be improved on.

Very relaxing and amazing view of the ocean to wake up to

Beautiful place, relaxing and private cabanas and lovely, friendly dogs adding to the atmosphere. Food was good and service was hospitable.

The floor entrance to the basement bathroom is a death trap.

The place is like heaven on Earth. Very peaceful, unique, surrounded by beautiful beach and sounds of the ocean. If you are not into partying, but prefer chilled vibes and quiet place to recharge, you have found it. The staff is lovely, always ready to help. Also, I stayed on Christmas day and they prepared nice BBQ. Moreover, very good spot to watch sunrise as well as sunset. One of the best affordable beach accommodations, I have been so far.

Everything, it's for me the best place all over Sri Lanka. It's a olace where your soul can take Rest! No tv but nature as the best tv ever! If you're licky, you can see turtle hatching oder laying eggs at the beach! Because it's the last Hotel, and after you have only nature, it's sooo calm and nice...so your soul can take a real rest! If you feel you ned people around you walk along the beach to tangalle...within around 30min you'll be there...on the way find fanrastic shells everywhere... I will come again!!

When there is heavy rain, you might feel it a bit as the cabanas are made with natural material...but it's no Problem...

- Literally looks like heaven - The cabanas are so lovely, can hear the waves from the room (but take earplugs if you’re sensitive to the noise for night time!) - The food is delicious, you can eat or drink at all times - The staff is very nice and so helpful! - The restaurant/chill area is so beautiful - dozens of little yellow lights at night, perfect view on the sea… - Your room is made everyday with new water and shampoos/body wash.. When we were there, there was practically no one. Had the beach to ourselves, like a dream!

- No wifi or fridge in the rooms (but you can put anything you like in their fridges) - Cockroaches in the bathroom (just at night!)

It’s a beautiful accommodation which I highly recommend for couples as a romantic retreat.

The view from the bed is exceptional. I also loved having two beach chairs and a hammock right in front of our cabana just for us! The staff also arranged breakfast packs for our early morning check-out at 6 am! We really appreciated that.

It was a 10 minute tuk tuk ride to Tangalle city center where there are plenty of restaurants which is not bad, but I would have preferred to be within walking distance.

Superb stay in relaxed surroundings and close to turtles!

Incredible location, right on the amazing beach (though note that you can't swim directly in front of the hotel). Staff all exceptional, particularly Chamal who was attentive and helpful throughout my stay, so huge thanks. Drinks and food also very good - particularly loved the coconut lassi and the fresh fruit juices. The highlight is its proximity to the best spots on the beach to watch turtles laying their eggs at night, a truly magnificent sight and one not to miss in Tangalle. If you can get past the lack of swimming pool it is an ideal place to stay and unwind in Sri Lanka.

One thing that would be really great is the addition of a very small fridge in the room if possible, to allow guests to keep waters cold (given how hot it gets during the days here)

Situated on an almost empty Kilometer long beach. It’s almost unbelievable. You can even watch turtles. nice and clean cabanas (no windowglass!) and awesome staff!

Fantastic staff and wonderful view

The view from the restaurant is amazing! We got the garden view bungalow so we didn't have the beach view but the other ones seemed great! Our accommodation was big enough, clean and nice. Staff was incredibly helpful: I forgot my bag with our passports 2 hours from there and they helped us arrange a tuktuk to pick it up. We needed an extra bed for our daughter and they brought a small bed right away. They were always super friendly and attentive. Food was nice but portions were not huge. Overall a fantastic place!

The smell! At night we got this awful smell from the "lagoon" nearby which smelled more like a sewer... Not much they can do about it but I must say it was annoying. Food was slightly pricey They don't take card

It’s location right on the beach is idyllic and the rooms are really beautiful. The staff are attentive and it’s a treat to have lunch brought to our sun loungers in front of our cabana.

The bathrooms down through a trap door are a bit scary and we were there when there was a storm so the wind blew right through the room making it almost impossible to sleep!
