Vi havde 5 fantastiske dage på dette skønne hotel. Vi blev forkælet med dejlig morgenmad og et altid smilende og imødeko

Fantastisk beliggenhed, hvis man vil surfe eller slappe af. Dejlig strand. Komfortable senge og et personale, som var enestående. Skøn morgenmad med masser af frugt, juice, æg, brød og pandekager.

Jeg var rigtig glad for mit ophold, og har ikke noget, som jeg er utilfreds med / måske lige, at vi skulle vente meget lang tid på maden.

Perfect beach location & amazing hosts

The Seascape is in an amazing location just at the beach. The team is super professional with attention to detail and super warm and friendly at the same time, which is a rare experience. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely book it again. Especially their Sri Lankan food is amazing and there are also beach restaurants next door, that are excellent. The place is perfect for surfing or a beach holiday and to watch an amazing sunset. They also clean the beach in front of the hotel regularly, which is nice. There are rooms on the top floor and on the ground floor. The ground floor room is practical, since you just need a few steps to the beach, the top floor rooms might have nicer views and a bit more privacy.

Boutique stylish hotel right on the beach

We got lucky. We were the only guests here and had the whole hotel for ourselves:) It is build by Dutch/Sri Lankan couple and you can really see it in attention to architectural details. You see that they built this place so it would bring joy to them and all the guests.

The hotel was amazing and had a great location - close to the beach. The rooms were super clean, had a great ocean view and smelled really nice. The pool was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious.

The location was one-of-a-kind, incredible view through palm trees onto the beautiful beach. Very calm neighbourhood. The pool is large, beautiful and very clean. It is partially shaded by the building after noon, which is perfect if you are swimming with little ones to prevent sunburn. The staff is very lovely and helpful! If you are up for more than your average toast&butter, ask for Sri Lankan breakfast (in the morning) or for Sri Lankan Curry for dinner. The rooms are spotlessly clean. If you stay for more than a few days, you might miss some features like space or even hooks to store your wardrobe which are common in that price range. But these are just little things that do not really reduce the unique experience of staying here. There are free surfboards at the hotel, but they could use a little maintenance. There is a surf rent and guide right next to the place on the beach, so this is not an issue.

Comfortable, trustworthy, excellent location, good privacy.

The location was excellent for our needs - located close to Matara town and situated on a private road with good privacy and security and a splendid balcony view of the sea . The staff at Seascape were very hospitable, friendly, punctual, and trustworthy which is the most memorable highlights. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, spacious, and had decent amenities (reading lights, air conditioning, desk, kettle, safe vault, wardrobe). Although located near the beach, you can still get a good-nights sleep as the roar of the sea is less noticeable once you close the balcony door. The Seascape also offers dining, particularly breakfast. We had both continental and local breakfast items which were freshly prepared!

Exceptional hotel for that area

Exceptional service! The staff was so nice and willing. Always helping and smiling. Rooms were great with balcony overlooking the surf. Nice breeze all day. We were on a surf trip, there is a nice break right in front of the place. The hotel is first line to the beach. Nice garden and pool. The location is Mostly good for surfing, not very lively around there, at least at the end of March. Very much recommended hotel

Superb

the hotel is very nice. you are directly at a sandy beach where you can swim or surf. the sun lounger are on the grass in front of the beach. During our stay there weren’t so many people so we always got front line. If the hotel would have more guests there might not be enough. the balcony also has the view on the ocean, very nice. breakfast was good, they even had darker bread. the dinner was good also if you like fish, not so much else offered though. stuff is friendly and try’s to fulfill all wishes.

the pool is on the backside of the hotel, you can’t see the ocean and there is no space for sun loungers at the pool. The beach is not very big, so you can’t do long walks. the electricity was gone for many hours per day. this happens everywhere in Sri Lanka right now but for the money you pay you maybe can expect a better generator.

nice place whit a beautiful view - amazing friedly staff !

amazing view from the balcony, nice room, compfy bed, clean ! surfer beach - but you can you and also swim a little. quiet beach - whit local people which is nice.

the stairs to the beach., its a bit hard for older people. the menu is a bit to western for my taste. pasta, Salat, Sandwich - BUT tasty.

Surfing, perfect dinners and supernice personal

The location is PERFECT for surfing AND it is a constant comforting breeze that is a life saver in the tropics.

As always close by the sea the wave noise is loud, it is a reason why the neighbour city is named Dundra (think of sound from waves)

Perfect stay for the matara/mirissa area for a good price with best staff!

We searched long for a good hotel in this area, because its not very easy! Than we found the seaescape, and we can totally recommend it! its on a quit beach! It has some nice chairs in the garden and there is a pool as well! The beach is good to surf and bath normal (no stones or animals). The rooms are nice, not extra luxury but it has everything you need! The location is good but when you want to go to matara, mirissa or weligama you need a tuktuk oder motorbike! The highlight at this hotel is the staff and also the manager! They are really sweet and help you with everything! And if you have a problem, they try to solve it! The price is very fair for whats you get! You can rent surfboards and motorbikes directly by the hotel! the food is good as well!!Sometimes they come in the afternoon and bring you a little snack for free! The manager of the hotel was there very often and gave us good recommandations or helped us organize trips (eg Galle Fort).

There were some small things like that the shower was not working propably, but we told it to the staff or mamager and it was fixed immediatly! We have two improvement points for the hotel, whta can male the experience for the guest even more perfect: - Recommandation List for Restaurants/Bars around matara area - One or two Longboards for starters (so you don‘t have to rent it by their neighbours) :)

Amazing hotel from which you can directly check the surf lineup

The view is amazing, you can directly see the surf lineup. The employees are also very friendly.

Sometimes the electricity went out, but this seems to be a general problem of the region. The restaurant of the hotel is around twice as expensive as the local restaurant at the beach 10 meters away.

Best beach for beginners to surf we had in Sri Lanka. This hotel was in amazing location, room was comfortable and staff was great. If we could we would spend here more than 4 days.

Bit of smell in bathroom, but on the bright side the staff cleaned our room every day. Also get ready for frequent electricity outages but it's not fault of hotel. Also not so many restaurants in area, we found one great for sunset views next to hotel on the beach and also one in city: Uprising.

Located directly at a beautiful, empty beach. Nice seating with seaview at the balcony in the lobby level for the meals.

High extra charge for Capuchino and Americano during brakfast. The room was not cleaned during the 4 night stay. When checking out we were told, this is only happening on request. Staff friendly, but not very helpful in arranging an ayurvedic massage

Perfect beachfront hotel

Amazing location right at the beach lets you soak up the atmosphere perfectly. The hotel has an open design on the breakfast/dinner area which is super cool. The staff is very attentive and friendly to help you out with anything. Breakfast and dinner was amazing!
